It was so much fun and would definitely recommend it to anyone. Just to make it even more enjoyable, I would’ve appreciated a bit more time within stations and no rush to finish so quickly.

Great experience!!
I had a great time, and the staff were incredibly helpful. While making my clay vase, I made a few mistakes, but the staff patiently guided me through fixing them every time. I especially enjoyed the painting and decorating part and was really happy with my final result.
Pottery workshop
So much fun! It was great to experience the whole process from beginning to end. Not sure how my piece will turn out haha! But it will be one for the memory book for sure! I would definitely recommend!
Great experience would do again
Amazing experience with an attentive teacher. The class was fun and a great introduction to the basics of pottery. We were able to create, design and paint our pots. I’ve developed a real appreciation for the art and would love to take more classes in the future.
Wouldn't recommend
Wouldn't recommend. We were rushed through it. Poor communication. Very low quality paint....more like slop.
End result not usable.

Had a fantastic time with some friends
Had a fantastic time with some friends. The instructor was really clear on his instructions and super helpful. Who knew you could make pottery in a microwave?! Definitely trying this at home with the new skills I learnt, thank you Token Studio!
If you are looking for an 'Ultimate Pottery Experience' this is not the place...
I am editing my review to a more accurate description of my experience at TokenStudio.
The overall pottery experience was rushed and not professional. The place was over booked with more than 40 people on the floor and with just 1 person following everyone! The instructions were poor, it was hard to hear during the sessions and we were rushed throughout being CONSTANTLY reminded that there were other people arriving after us.
The overall studio was in poor condition and not professional. The equipment was cheap and not safe (there was a microwave to 'cook' our pottery in, posters asking not to use too much paint and an air fryer plugged in in between the equipment?!). The glazing was an extra £10 which wasn't mentioned before booking and they advertise it as BYOB but believe me, the experience is SO rushed there is not time to take a sip!
If you are looking for an 'Ultimate Pottery Experience' this is not the place...........
I was also forced to leave a 5 star review so that a friend, who initially made the booking, could receive a refund for a misbooked session.

This was the review I was forced to leave:
We had such a lovely time at token studio. Great activity to do with friends, it’s byob, so fun and you get to bring home your own creation!

Forced to leave a positive review before they would send my money back
I'm now updating my previous review (see below), which I was forced to leave in order to get a refund. Take any 5 star reviews here with a pinch of salt, as I suspect many of them are also fake and have been forced into leaving 5 star reviews.
My friend booked the session for our group of 6 and wanted to change the date of our session shortly after making the booking. We were told that Token couldn't change the date for us, but if we booked and paid again, they would give us a refund for the original session when we attended. We turned up for our session, asked for the refund for the mis-booked session, and were told we would only get the money back if all 6 of us left 5 star reviews. This is the only reason I left a 5 star review originally, and I've been waiting until we all picked up our pottery pieces before leaving my feedback.
I can't convey quite how much you should NOT attend a session with Token. It was absolutely shambolic, messy and chaotic, with the session leader barking orders in a very aggressive manner. When I asked for him to repeat one of his instructions, he shouted at me and told me I should have understood the first time, even though it's a loud environment with the pottery wheels and I genuinely couldn't hear him.
He was barking at our group throwing pottery to hurry up, while also yelling at the people from the previous session (who were in the painting area at the back) to hurry up and get out. I have never met anyone so unsuited for a customer facing role - it was almost laughable.
You'll see from their responses here on Trustpilot to 1 star reviews that they have absolutely no regard for the experience of their customers, nor any interest in improving their service. They'll rip into your grammar, use of punctuation, and try to pick your review apart, instead of just owning up and accepting that the service they provide is subpar. My friends and I are eagerly awaiting the hilariously defensive response I'll no doubt get to updating my review here.
In terms of the quality of the pottery piece - absolutely diabolical. They make you put your piece into a microwave (I'm not joking) and give you about 20 minutes to paint and "dry" your piece before booting you out. The quality of the final product is absolutely terrible, even with the additional £10 we paid per piece to have it glazed. I wish I could attach photos here to show the dreadful quality of the bottoms of all of our pieces.
There are plenty of wonderful pottery studios in London, but Token truly isn't one of them. Save your money, your sanity and your peace, and book elsewhere.
I will be reporting Token to Trustpilot to share their practice of withholding refunds in exchange for false 5 star reviews.

Thanks Token, can't wait to get my piece back! So much fun and such a good activity to do with friends

Important warning for customers – service not provided & hostile communication
I am leaving this review to warn future customers about my experience with Token Studio.
I purchased a Wowcher voucher and followed the redemption steps exactly. The studio claimed they sent a booking email, but I never received it — not in my inbox, junk or spam. Without that email, it was impossible to make a booking. When I visited the studio in person, I was reassured that everything was fine.
On the day of the workshop, I was turned away at the door, despite having followed their instructions and double-checking in advance. The service I paid for was not provided.
The bigger issue, however, was their behaviour when I asked for help. Rather than resolving the situation, Token Studio’s replies were:
• dismissive,
• accusatory,
• unprofessional, and
• openly hostile.
They refused to resend the booking details, refused a solution, and even told me I was “banned for life.” Their tone was aggressive and entirely inappropriate for a customer-facing business.
If you are considering booking with Token Studio — especially through a voucher platform — please be aware that if anything goes wrong, based on my experience you may not receive support or a resolution. I did not receive the service I paid for and was met with hostility instead of help.

Absolutely rubbish
Absolutely rubbish, so expensive for what you get.
First of all there is no signage at the front of the door - other than a poster saying token studio - hard to see down Druid St where there is little to no lighting.
I paid for a pottery wheel class. The instructor was speaking so fast - didn’t understand what he was saying. Wouldn’t let us touch the clay and pretty much made all the shapes himself for everyone. Rather than guiding and instructing - I essentially paid for the instructor to make a cup.
We then had 10 minutes to paint. The process is paint and 10 seconds in the microwave and then paint again and microwave etc…. One microwave and about 15/20 ppl sharing that. So didn’t get to do that successfully.
When taking it home, we were given a paper plate… …
Not worth the money, time or effort.

Fun introduction to Pottery
I went to a pottery class with my friend and thoroughly enjoyed myself! The instructor was hilarious and showed us what we needed to do in a digestible way. It was a brief class but so much fun!
Dirty, disorganised and chaotic
I recently took part in a pottery wheel workshop here, and the experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish.
Despite the fact that participants were complete beginners, there was no real guidance. The instructor rushed through the steps while speaking into a headset mic, barely pausing to explain anything. He would decide for you when your piece was “done,” cut it from the wheel, and immediately move you along. There was no space to learn, practice, or ask questions. It felt like an assembly line, not a workshop.
The decorating and glazing stage was even worse. There was no supervision, no instructions, and the materials were poorly maintained. Tools were scattered and disorganized, several were unusable, and nobody explained how to use them. Letter stamps were incomplete and mismatched, so personalizing items was almost impossible.
The glazes were very low quality. Colors came out nothing like what was shown: yellow turned out beige, teal came out sage, and overall the final result looked dull and muddy. Even considering that we are not professionals, the quality of glazing and firing was clearly substandard.
Overall, this workshop felt rushed, chaotic, and unprofessional. The whole experience lacked care, creativity, and basic teaching. What should have been a fun and mindful craft night turned into a frustrating waste of time and money.
I would not recommend this place to anyone.
After token studio replay:
The issue is not the price I paid, but the poor overall experience and the quality of the final result. The colours provided did not match the examples shown, and the support during the activity felt rushed and unclear.
It is disappointing that instead of acknowledging this feedback, the response focuses on defending the service and posting photos publicly without consent.
I stand by my review.
I shared an honest experience in good faith and would simply have expected a more professional and constructive reply.

Ultimate pottery experience
Did the ultimate pottery experience with my best friend and had a blast.
The staff was very helpful and guided us through the pottery making session. We then got to decorate our work and there was a lot of tools available to us to customise our bowls. Would definitely recommend.
Great and fun pottery session
My friend gifted this for my birthday and we had the ultimate pottery experience session yesterday which was really fun! The staff helped us through the whole process and made it really easy for us. Great experience, would recommend.
Scam
Scam. Staff and owner is rude. Just horrible experience from start to finish. They just scam you out of more money. Place needs shutting down

We’re here to help! 💌 Warm regards, The Token Studio Team 🫶 THEN STATES ...This is an automated message. Please do not reply directly to this email. So now I dont know what to do - I just want my goods that I paid for!

Blames customer, takes no accountability
I attended a pottery class at this studio and paid extra for glazing, expecting a properly finished and safe piece. Despite following all instructions exactly and applying only the recommended number of layers, my piece came back full of cracks (crazing) and trapped bubbles, making it unsafe to use.
When I raised the issue, the studio repeatedly refused responsibility. Their responses blamed me for “overpainting,” claimed crazing is “uncontrollable,” cited their “30 years of expertise,” and referenced signed terms and conditions to deny any refund — even though these cannot override my legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. They offered a complimentary painting session instead of a proper remedy, showing a total lack of accountability.
RESPONSE:
1. No evidence was ever shown to me of other pots or “hard proof.”
2. I explained over email that the pots I received back were not usable as promised (food safe). Visible crazing and trapped bubbles are recognised defects that usually indicate one or more of the following issues: incorrect firing schedule (too fast, too cool, no soak), under-bisqued ware, poor glaze/body fit, or glaze preparation/application errors.
3. At no point was I abusive or angry — I raised my concerns politely and reasonably.
4. I was offered a complimentary session, not a £76 voucher as claimed. In any case, I would not return after this experience. I paid specifically for a food-safe glaze, which the piece is not due to the bubbling inside.
This review was written around 8pm, not “in a rage at 1am” as alleged.
5. The dismissive and personal tone of the owner’s reply speaks for itself. Rather than taking responsibility, they resort to insults and denial. This is not how a professional business should treat paying customers. I would not recommend supporting a studio that refuses accountability and demonstrates such poor customer service.
