Great job

Came in date/time agreed. Scot did great job. Took old vertical blinds down and took away. Highly recommend. Bit worried after looking at some reviews. Can’t fault them.

was a previous customer of Top Cat so I never thought of reading reviews as I was happy with the service last time.I ordered and paid deposit for new blinds to replace existing ones Top Cat fitted for me many years ago. In the meantime i read the negative reviews about the company and was really alarmed, in the end job done to high standard and love the blinds, fitter was brilliant even took my old blinds away. So please ignore the negative reviews.

I ordered blinds

I was an existing customer of Top Cat so I never thought of reading their latest reviews as I was happy with the service they last provided me, albeit some years ago. I ordered and paid for new blinds to replace existing ones Top Cat fitted for me many years ago. In the meantime i read the negative reviews about the company on here and elsewhere. I was worried I may have made a bad decision to return to Top Cat. But I have since learned the company have been in a transition period and have downsized since i last dealt with them. As a result of less staff members, my blinds took a bit longer than expected to be fitted. But the high quality is still the same as when they last provided my blinds. Good level of service at a very competitive price. Overall, I am very happy. I think the bad reviews came during their transition period, but they are trustworthy and provide a good service. So don't be put off by the bad reviews.

Company promised the world and got no…

Company promised the world and got no were near it. First of the blind I ordered they couldn't get the colour I wanted. Then it took over three weeks to get them fitted and one was broken, it took them another to weeks to fix that. The owner said I'd be given compensation but months down the line still not got it. Have been in touch with them every week speaking to the owner, he sounds disinterested and as if he is being bothered. Have now given up. The date is approximate as the dates are now all starting to look the same. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY AT ALL.

Beware

Beware! This company will rob you. They took money from numerous customers including myself last year but never informed anyone they were having cash flow and supplier problems. Subsequently, they never delivered the blinds or gave any customers a refund. They consistently lie and avoid calls.

This is factually incorrect, yes we had cash flow and supplier problems, yes we took longer than we liked to pay everyone back, but WE DID pay everyone back when so many others were pulling down the shutters and running away with there customers money. × update on what you have said, it is all well and good saying that but you ignored me for over a year and you most certainly did not pay my back any money so saying that isn't making yourself look anymore honest thank you were last time

TopCat Blinds & Home Solutions AVOID!! at all costs they are a bunch cowboys who will take your money. Would give 0 stars if that was possible.

Ordered in September 2024 paid a £300 deposit and told blinds would be 4 weeks. Excuses after excuses eventually came in December and brought a grey roller blind for my livingroom when I actually ordered a real wood venetian blind. Told I needed to pay up then they would have blind in within a week. We are now in may and still haven't recieved it every week promised its coming n doesn't appear. Asked for a refund 2 weeks ago nearly and still haven't been refunded absolute joke of a company they will take people's more looking you in the face and not give one crap. Also customer service is shocking.

I know this is a while since this happened and we appreciated your candid response, the honest response to this was one of our largest suppliers had issues which caused us major product and cash flow problems. So much so it nearly took us under after decades of hard work serving customers loyally. we decided rather than roll over and die we would fight through the hard times and pay every single customer back every penny owed no matter how long it took us. I am really sorry it took so long but we did pay you it all back, if we had folded our loyal customers would have been left with nothing and that is something we could not have on our conscious. We have tackled our battles and we are now firmly out the other side stronger and better for the experience. You will notice that we are back to our 5 star service and again we can only humbly apologies for your experience, it is not what we aim to deliver and was well below the standards we set for ourselves.

Poor poor customer care

I ordered replacement slates for vertical blinds in Nov 2024 however here we are going into April and still no slates.customer care is none existent as numerous calls you either can't get an answer or your told too busy we'll call you back which never happens. So disappointed as we have used them over the years and never experienced such poor service 😢

Bridie we accept your criticism and cannot deny that we let you down in this instance. The truth is circumstances outwith our control seriously affected our business. We had a choice to cut and run or to baton down the hatches and fight to see another day.

We chose to fight, we put our own money back into the business to pay everyone that we owed there money back, we took our medicine and we did what we thought was morally right.

We are proud to say we have dealt with all that, we have come back stronger and I am pleased to say that we are back to our 5 star service.

If you are willing to give us another go as an old customer we will make it right. Though we do understand if you dont but please humbly accept our deepest apologies

Advice for those ripped off

Just want to advise people that I had an unfortunate time with this company and posted my review
My bank got my money back, I paid in full
The second company I got out after this lot, they told me top cats sizes were all wrong anyway
Manager is very rude and hangs onto your cash

So I see they are now in trouble, I did check beta house when I was in conflict with them and saw trouble was brewing

If you used your debit or credit card, speak to your bank and show evidence and they will get your money back

On Facebook you can access Scotland's scammers and or course trading standards and CAB

The company has branched out into home improvements, windows and doors and various other facets

Avoid 🚩 at all costs

Ps I went with select blinds in the end and they had the job from start to finish done in under 10 days, beautiful blinds, professional staff and much cheaper that TopCat

Avoid at all costs!!

Avoid at all costs!!! Still chasing up blinds from before Christmas that were far too big for the window. Being fobbed off with shitty excuses and rude customer service. Happy to take hard earned money to provide the worse service I’ve ever had for blinds that aren’t even that great of quality! Never speak to an actual person as they never answer their phones. Just someone who is very rude through messenger. The only good thing was their fitter and he was helping me with information but unfortunately he left the company as they were just as bad to staff ! So god knows if I will ever get the new blinds that actually fit!!!!

Bought blind in NOV 2024, just getting the on the 3/3

Bought blind in NOV 2024, call about 20 time, keeps telling me something about other company being in liquidation, and would get they in jan 2025. Now it 3 March and still nothing call in to ask when the blinds are getting here and there are on the van and be there today between 3pm and 5pm and still nothing.

UPDATE: blinds came yesterday at 5:30pm no phone call saying going to be late ( should have been between 3- 5pm) Could not wait for they to be fitted as going not, try to call the company back to say what will I do next and could I get someone out to fix them but no answer and just hung up on me. Would not get from them again and trying to someone thing done about the company

Con artists…do not use

Con artists! Took sizeable deposit and then couldn’t deliver the goods. They’ve been struck off by companies house and their second company is being dissolved. My bank has raised a scam incident to try and help me get some of my money back. DO NOT USE!

Company are full of promises

Company are full of promises, till they get customers money then it's ignored or lies anything to keep the cash and keep you hanging
I paid half the price deposit for blinds
I cancelled after being led on and after a lot of grief through messages I finally got my money back and new company did the job how it's supposed to be done
Save yourself grief and go with another company
Quite cheeky as well and not professional

This company has taken £ 350 deposit from me 6 weeks ago and blinds are still not received. Gary is continually making excuses for his boss Tony . This company is scum. Taking people's hard earned money and keeping it. I am reporting them to trading standards. Do not give this company any business

Great attitude, and friendly service

Top Cat fitted all my windows and doors 2 years ago. The attitude and workmanship, was outstanding. Great job, and gave us free blinds. I now have ordered PVC shutter blinds, and the agent Robert arrived and measured the job. Once again Robert was commendable. A good human being, good manner, polite and friendly. I recommend this company, simply from their overall commitment, and attitude. I fully trust this company, and look forward to our new installation. Regards to all.

AVOID AVOID AVOID

I have dealt with this company for years, and they have been fine until I wanted blackout, cat-proof blinds. Each blind has a weight instead of reeds. They came to fit them on September 10th, 2024, and I had to contact them as they were all different lengths. I have been fobbed off for the last three months—on the phone and on messenger—with promises that they would be fitted by the end of the week. That was three months ago. I didn't know that the end of the week was 3 months 🤔

Scott - TopCat Blinds - Highly recommended

Just had blinds fitted by Scott. The service was excellent. He arrived on time and was extremely polite and professional. Respected my property and did a first class job. His positive attitude and obvious expertise represented his company well. I have read some other reviews of this company and to be honest they do not reflect the way my order has been serviced. I ordered on the recommendation of friends and family who had also used the company previously and the experience I have had reflects their positive experiences. I would highly recommend this company and Scott (the fitter). He clearly cares about delivering a high quality of service and left the job in a perfect state. 5 star rating. Don’t believe everything you read.
