I’ve been on a china tour recently using Top China Travel (TCT) to plan the trip. I trusted TCT to provide the services I expected but was disappointed from the beginning to the end of our trip. TCT was responsible for organizing 3 speed train rides and an internal flight. Out of the 3 train rides, they goofed on 2. One of the train schedule was changed from the agreed schedule at least 4 days prior to departure but nobody notified me and I learned it by pure coincidence. Furthermore, on the last part of the tour, TCT forgot to forward the train ticket, and I have to remind them on the eve of my departure.

On Day 1 of the tour in Beijing, the guide told the group that he will not be able to take the group to Tiannamen Square. The whole group was upset, and we pushed hard so he finally took us to the square. I find it frustrating that we have to negotiate with the guide when the schedule was agreed before. Furthermore, the same guide tried to get us to pay for the boat ride at the Forbidden city while all along was included in the package we bought. So fellow travelers, read your material carefully and make sure you don't pay extras. All this was very suspicious.

We were 4 friends travelling and we have created a WhatsApp group chat with our contact at TCT so that we can communicate better. During our trip, our contact from TCT received a complaint from one of the other fellow travelers. A copy of the complaint identifying the traveler’s issue together with her personal contact was posted on our WhatsApp group chat. I find it unethical and unprofessional to forward this kind of information to other travelers.

Finally, be aware that the budget for lunch varies from 50 to 100Y per person. I personally received 50Y but some other lucky fellow travelers have received 70Y and 100Y. I heard you have to push for more, which unfortunately I did not do.

The information provided is truthful and factual. I’m looking forward to another trip but this time it will not be with TCT.

Our journey through Beijing was a masterpiece of planning and execution, thanks to the impeccable teamwork of our guide, Gerry and our driver, Kyle. Gerry made our trip the most memorable and engaging tour that we have ever had - this includes travel to 15 countries. While Gerry was the knowledgeable professor who fed our minds and spirits, Kyle was the steadfast guardian of our safety and our time. We must give special recognition to Kyle for his consummate skill and diligent professionalism. Navigating Beijing during and after Golden Week presents a formidable challenge with its severe traffic. Yet, for Kyle, this was an opportunity to demonstrate his mastery of the land. We never felt the stress of the traffic, because in his capable hands, we could put our hearts at ease knowing we were safe and would arrive at each destination with calm efficiency. His promptness each day was a sign of his deep respect for his duty and for us as guests and family.

This team brought great honor to Top China Travel.. We are profoundly grateful for their diligence and the immense effort they invested in our well-being, transforming our trip into a journey of comfort, wisdom, and absolute trust. The travel agent who managed our tour performed flawlessly, always answering questions and resolving problems immediately.
All tour guides of different cities were young, enthusiastic, and professional. They helped us with our luggages. One guide even escorted us to the high-speed train, and didn't leave until we were seated. His service was highly appreciated.

The 5-star hotels were comfortable and luxurious. Breakfast buffets are amazing. Their locations are all in the heart of busy tourist area where made it convenient for dining and shopping.

This was a carefree and enjoyable trip – our most pleasant trip ever.

Really helpful operator. Everything was made easy with this company. We recommend asking for Mr Wu the taxi driver in Chongqing- he knew all the spots to take pictures and really looked after us. Jane was a great guide in Chengdu also.

Merry made a custom tour for me in dali, centering around going to tea plantation. Company did great work on setting up everything. I recommend them for any asia tour.

We were very impressed with all aspects of the organisation done by TCT. With particular attention to our special request for making sure we have a meal at an Indian restaurant daily. This worked very well and eased our concerns with respect to our meals.

We had a 3 city trip combined with one person having a different itinerary to the 3 other ones. Each of us had a fabulous time. Everything was perfectly organized from the fantastic French speaking guides, the English inspecting ones, the drivers, the hotels, the visits, the tours... Amelie and her team shunned through all the challenges for the second time this year. Highly highly recommend!!!

Amelie planned my 5-day-itinerary in Zhangjiajie. She was really patient and organised everything I wished for.
Johnny was my tour guide. He showed me the Avatar Mountains, the Glass Bridge and Tianmen Mountain with my Personal Highlight, Heaven's door! He was really kind and we had a good communication in English. He was not only my tour guide, but my personal photographer as well, what I really appreciated 😀.

We had a most wonderful 10 day private tour in China, organized by TCT.
We wen't from Shenzhen to Guilin, then to Yangshuo and Chengdu and onto Xi'an and Beijing. At every stop we were met by our guide and driver. All hotel, excursion and train tickets were booked for us. We had no stress organizing anything. The guides are very knowledgeable and could answer every question we had.
We wholeheartedly recommend TCT .

Absolutely brilliant tours in 3 cities in China-Xi’an, Suzhou and Hangzhou. The trips were organised brilliantly and as we both went for personalised tours we got to see the attractions that we were most interested in. The tour guides collected us at the train stations and dropped us off to the hotels. Everything was pre-booked including bullet train ticket, hotels and attractions. All we had to do was turn up. The guides and their drivers were superb very knowledgeable and friendly. We got to do so and see so many things over 7 days and when we return we will definitely be using Top China Travel again. 100% perfect!

I went with my wife to a number of key tourists spots, including the Great Wall and the Forbidden City in Beijing, as well as the to see the Terracotta Army in Xi'an and famous tea plantations and pagodas. The whole trip was very memorable, and we really enjoyed the bullet trains to various cities. All the guides were excellent: knowledgeable, friendly and helpful and good fun to be around. I highly recommend Top China Travels.

My recent trip to China was truly unforgettable, and I owe so much of that to the incredible team at TCT, especially Merry, who organized every detail with such care and professionalism.

His knowledge and passion for his city really shone through, and I honestly felt like I was traveling with a friend.

In Shanghai, the final stop on my journey, I was welcomed by Philip, who was kind, patient, and knowledgeable, and he made the arrival feel smooth and easy. My tour guide in the city, Eileen, was just as wonderful. She was friendly, well-informed, and made sure I had a great time exploring all that Shanghai had to offer. It was the perfect way to wrap up the trip.

Looking back, I feel incredibly lucky to have been in such good hands with TCT. Every guide was outstanding in their own way, ensuring every moment was just right.

As part of our individual trip to China in May 2025, we asked Top China Travel to organize two excursions and airport transport at Guilin and to buy flights we were not able to do by ourselves.
Specifically, we asked for a pick-up at the airport in Giulin with transfer to the hotel, then the next day the excursion with only an English-speaking driver to the rice fields of Longi, and for the last day the cruise on the Li River, go up to Xianggong Mountain and drop-off at the airport.
The travel consultant Merry from Top China Travel was very attentive to our requests from the beginning, she gave us useful advice and showed a lot of patience and professionalism in answering promptly our questions. From the beginning we had the impression that TCT was a serious and reliable travel agency.
We are very satisfied with the services provided by TCT. Everyone showed professionalism and seriousness. Our stay went in the best possible way and without a hitch. The driver proved to be up to the task, very attentive and thoughtful.

[Private Tour] The Somerset Yangtze River in Chongqing boasted views overlooking the iconic Yangtze River. The apartment-like room was incredibly impressive, offering a full kitchen, separate dining and living areas, a comfortable bedroom with a walk-in wardrobe, and even convenient amenities like a washer, oven, and induction hob. Somerset location was rather off (45 – 60 mins walk one way) from the Raffles City Chongqing and longer walk to Hongya Cave.
The provision of a luxurious EV sedan truly enhanced our exploration of the city outskirts, ancient towns, and the stunning Dazu and Baoding. A special thank you to our Chongqing guide, Roy, who was exceptionally helpful and accommodating. He readily took us to the places we wished to see and offered insightful recommendations for our free time within the city. Roy's deep knowledge of Chongqing's culture and history, shared through fascinating stories of its past and present development, truly enriched our experience.
Moving on to Zhangjiajie, we were warmly greeted at the railway station by Rita. Her enthusiasm for showing us around was immediately apparent. The National Scenic Spot Sunshine Resort Hotel was clean and well-maintained, and its large gardens effectively shielded us from any traffic noise despite its location.
Rita went above and beyond to ensure we had the best possible experience in Zhangjiajie. We were so grateful for her flexibility in rearranging our itinerary due to the rain, allowing us to visit the breathtaking Yuanjiajie and Tianzi Mountains on clearer days. Her proactive communication, constantly checking our preferences and offering alternatives, was much appreciated. The lunch locations she selected in Zhangjiajie, Furong, and Fenghuang were outstanding, each offering stunning scenic views of mountains, rivers, waterfalls, and lakes.
A truly memorable moment was Rita's thoughtful arrangement of a birthday cake upon our arrival at the incredibly scenic Tusi Xuanfu Furong hotel, which overlooks the ancient town built on top of the waterfall. Rita's knowledge extended beyond the landscapes; she also shared captivating historical and cultural insights into the ancient towns and the Southern Great Wall of China.
While our hotel in Guangzhou, the Ausotel Smart, was a bit compact, its location was convenient. Exploring the fascinating maze-like alleyways of Shipai Village right behind the hotel was an unexpected highlight.
Overall, the entire itinerary was well-organized and coordinated by Tracy, who was always reachable and promptly addressed our needs. Given our last-minute booking, Tracy's smooth handling of the arrangements and our special request (High Speed Rail Class) was truly commendable. We look forward to working with her again on future trips.
In hindsight, having a hotel with a washer during our final days in Guangzhou would have been beneficial after our 13-day journey.

This was our second 21-day trip to China organized by TCT and Tracy, our incredible travel manager. Each detail of our different stops worked beautifully and we learned a great deal as we went along. Starting with our initial ideas of places to visit, Tracy was entirely responsive and understood our travel style and goals (history, culture, people). We hope to visit additional locations in the future, if possible. Thanks so much to Tracy and TCT.

A great family trip to China was planned by Kelly in TCT. All the places we wanted to go to were included with advice on extras we didn’t know about. Guides and vehicles are all top class. Hotels are great, one was a little far out but it didn’t matter due to driver being available. We travelled to Beijing, Xi’an, Chengdu, Zhangjiajie and Shanghai. TCT arranged all internal travel on trains and plane and in every city someone was there to meet us. We had no lost time, maximised our 13 day trip and got to experience China for the first time. We will return and I wouldn’t hesitate to use TCT again.

I have been to chaina on eleven days package tour in the month of April 2025. My allocated tour manager was very good and her guidance in finalizing the tour package was very helpful. We were 14 in the group tour and the guides we had were excellent except in one place at terracotta . It is mainly due the crowds at the that place and the guides carelessness and attitude.
The restaurants we were taken for lunch was high quality and very hygienic environment.
The TCT has fulfilled all the needed services as per the package and I do not hesitate to take another tour with TCt.kishan Mangarai.
