A snippet of a horrific experience
I wrote a more thorough complaint for the BBB. I’m actually in awe of the service. My belongings were delivered today. Here is how that went:
1. The legs to my sofa are missing.
2. My brand new mattress that I slept on for less than a month is streaked up. It's an actual nightmare.
3. They gave me two belongings (nice furniture) that were not mine. They looked surprised when I told them they did not belong to me.
4. They forgot their tools to assemble my bed and did not put together my book shelf. I did more unpacking of my bigger items (e.g., televisions, coffee table, etc.) than the movers did because they said they were only contracted to assemble the bed. After telling them that was not what I was told, they helped with the coffee table. I unwrapped my couch, which they could not put together because my legs to the couch are missing.
Moving Solutions treated me like a paycheck, not a valued customer. I have MISSING and DAMAGED items. My move was over $5,000 and I truly feel taken advantage of. If you want a hassle free move, or even a little peace of mind, think twice before doing business with Moving Solutions.

Intentional Scam, False Advertising
Never in a million years did I ever imagine I'd be someone posting on one of these forums but I had such a horrible experience with Top Moving Solutions today that I wanted to share my experience with you all to spare you the wasted time, heartache, and frustration. For your benefit, I think it's wise to take my experience to heart to get a better understanding of how this company operates.
A few weeks ago, my wife and I enlisted Top Moving Solutions to assist us in our move. Upon reaching out, we were amazed by Ben, his understanding and presumed transparency. We were asked to provide an "Inventory List" of items we'd be shipping to estimate the moving cost for our 2 bed/2 bath apartment. Based on everything that was mentioned, we were quoted an estimate of $3500 (after numerous discounts to lock-in our commitment). In large part, the estimate included a queen bedroom set (including mattress and mattress pad), living room table set, two TVs, one TV stand, a crib, rocking chair, bookshelf, and about 30 large boxes. We were asked to pay a $1300 deposit.
About 1 week before our move we realized we had left out a few items (~6 in total) so reached out to notify them of the missing items. We were promptly charged another $600 for the added items/space which made total sense. Our nightmare began on the day of pick-up.
Upon pick-up, the movers arrived and did an immediate inspection of our apartment. After viewing everything, they said that instead of the initial $4100 (600 sq ft) estimate based on our Inventory List that we actually required 1200 sq ft that would cost $9500. We were stunned because aside from a few stray items (like ironing boards, portraits) the items they were taking was the EXACT SAME as the inventory list. The moving company proceeded to say that they don't actually charge based on the items that we provide in the Inventory List but by square footage. In actuality, our 600 sq ft would only accommodate the 30 large boxes and TVs.
In desperation, we reached out to Top Moving Solutions to relay that discordant price change to MORE THAN DOUBLE the original estimate based on the exact same items but the "manager" we spoke with told us there was nothing they could do. We then proceeded to ask for a refund of our deposit due to the unbelievable change of terms but Top Moving Solutions refused to refund us, not even in part, for our deposit. We ultimately refused to pay double to have them transport our items as other moving companies had quote us around $5500 -$6000 for the same service.
Having what I presumed to be an understanding partnership with Ben from Top Moving Solutions I reached out to Ben (who provides you with his number upon your deposit in case you have any questions or concerns along the way). Despite being highly responsive beforehand, Ben avoided our attempts to contact him.
SUMMARY: THIS COMPANY'S INTENTION IS TO SCAM YOU FROM THE GET-GO. They purposefully tell you whatever number you want to hear to secure your deposit. Upon their arrival that increase the price to 2-3x the original (even if you're shipping the exact same items on your inventory list). When you refuse to pay the new price, they try to hold your deposit against you saying that it is non-refundable as an incentive to get you to pay the larger amount. We lost or money to Top Moving Solutions and had to find another moving company last minute. I hope and pray that our experience will spare you the wasted time, money, and frustration.

Bait and switch in regards to price quotes
I contacted Ben at Top Moving Solutions in the beginning of April 2024. He provided a quote and I sent a deposit of $1507. The week before the move, I sent an email with detailed description, including measurements, drawings, and pictures of all of the items being moved/transported by their company. The person that we spoke to confirmed that they appreciated our due diligence with all of the items, along with measurements and photos. The quote was increased to approximately $4500. When the movers showed up they said that due to the weight of the granite tops/desk, they had to increase our total to $9801 (approximately $3200 higher than the final quote we received a few days before the move). I contacted the customer service number to discuss the issue with the higher price and no one answered or called me back. We had no choice but to pay the additional $3200 in order for our items to be moved across Country at the last minute. Our furniture and items finally arrived over 3 weeks from the initial delivery start date. There were only 2 guys to.move our items, even though there were 5 guys at time of pick up. My husband, who is 75 years old and a disabled veteran, was forced to help move the heavy desk, which we were promised that the movers would be able to handle everything that was on the bill of lading. The boxes arrived and were in very poor shape. I will never use this company again and I would suggest that anyone attempting to use this company, run, run, run. They still have not returned my calls regarding the very large increase at the last minute. This is very poor customer service and unacceptable.

I contacted them directly and discovered that my items have been stuck in California since the pickup date on May 17, despite repeatedly informing them that I needed to move into my new place in Virginia by early July. After I left a review a few days ago, it seemed to trigger a response from them (they mentioned my review), and they began replying to my emails immediately. However, their responses were filled with rude and unprofessional comments, insisting they had done nothing wrong and that I was the one who was confused. I am just astonished. I will keep updating my experience here.

This is my experience with a cross-country move from California to Virginia using Moving Solution. Please avoid using them. They are merely a broker/middleman and take no responsibility after you sign the contract.
Once you sign, a "dispatch" team arrives at your place, claiming you have too much stuff and demanding you pay double the quoted price, regardless of whether you had a virtual or in-person survey. Despite completing two surveys, I was asked to pay twice the amount on moving day. The dispatch team assigned to me was Loadrans LLC Moving. They were extremely unprofessional, constantly updating the contract, and charging additional fees throughout the day and leaving whole drawer worth kitchen stuff here and there.
I opted for the full packing service, which was supposed to include all supplies, according to the Moving Solution team. However, I was charged an extra $150 for using one additional box for my clothes. After "negotiation," I ended up paying $1500 EXTRA for this move, and they demanded cash only.
I could go on, but the bottom line is to avoid Moving Solution or any broker/middleman company. I reached out Moving solution six times to confirm the moving date in Virginia 30 days in advance, but they just ignored my emails so far. This experience has been so stressful that I considered seeking legal help or giving up on my belongings altogether.

FRAUD AND THIEVES
FRAUD AND THIEVES. They stole money from me and broke my stuff. They were also several hours late to the pickup and drop off appointments. They were supposed to move my furniture from League City to 2 locations in San Antonio. They were also supposed to relocate furniture from the 1st destination stop to the 2nd destination stop. They hired a different company to do the actual moving. Their drivers/movers were unprofessional and barely spoke any English and they came in a Budget rental truck. They also didn’t come with proper tools to disassemble and reassemble the furniture. Their driver took my drill and was using it without even asking me. Their drivers arrived and tried to charge me $500 more to move my stuff. They said I added more stuff, which I did not. Everything was clearly itemized on the contract. I was then told by Moving Solutions that they would only charge $110 more ($55 for a box for my tv and $65 for a mattress cover). They charged me the $110 but never provided a box for my tv or a mattress cover. The driver said I could pay by PayPal. So, I did. The company then said they didn’t take accept PayPal and made me pay the entire amount in money orders. They wouldn’t unload my furniture until I paid the entire amount with money orders. They said they didn’t even have a PayPal account and they were supposed to contact PayPal to refund the PayPal payment to me. This was a lie. They did have a PayPal account. Instead of contacting PayPal to decline the transaction, they kept the PayPal payment and the money orders. The company is no longer responding to me. They need to refund the $1102.50 PayPal payment they stole from me, refund the $110 for the false charges, and address my broken furniture. My sofa and bed was damaged by their movers. They kept trying to up the moving costs during my move and hold my furniture hostage. They also tried not to do the services that they were contracted to do. They tried to not do the relocation of the furniture from the 1st stop to the 2nd stop even though it was in the contract. The company was supposed to send me claim forms for the damages claims, but they stopped responding to me.

Not trustworthy
Hired these guys to move me the weekend of June 22, 2024. They called and confirmed they would be there June 22. They were a no show and did not respond to email or messages. When I called Monday they told me their foreman called and I canceled. This never happened and they are steadfast in not refunding my $600 deposit. I was left high and dry, and had to rent a truck and hire some people to help load it.
Edit: since my initial post I have received nothing. No refund. One correspondence and zero solutions. Only has there been an apology after my review.
Sammy Muller promised contact but I've had none. Without a refund an apology is useless. This company still has me my $600. They are utterly fraudulent.
Further, BBB, has noted a pattern of fraud which can be noted on the BBB website.
As of a few minutes ago they called and promised to refund my money via Zelle. Will update once this is done.
Edit: I was awaiting the refund and promised to update my post to show my money was refunded. Rather than do that they told me I would need to remove the post before they would refund my money. Rather than do the right thing and trust I would update they essentially held my money for ransom. But they've already been dishonest so I've no reason to trust they will refund my money if I remove my rating. This review is going to be posted many places.

Find a better moving company
The consultation was initially positive albeit expensive but I did't have time to get another quote because it was a relative emergency. They quoted ~$2,400 "door to door, all expenses" from Laramie, WY to Richmond, VA. When the movers arrived, the didn't know anything about my file and called ~10 times before beginning to load my items. I told the sales rep (Ben) that I needed my items packed and he said that would be fine and would be included in the price of the quote. The movers told me they didn't know they would be packing and demanded $950 to pack what ended up being 3 LARGE BOXES. I talked them down to $500 for the price of THREE BOXES and 30 minutes of labor. I only agreed because it felt like my move was being held hostage. The items did eventually get to their destination with only a couple of broken items, which I expected. I called my sales rep and texted several messages requesting help with the extra bills from the movers but he didn't respond to anything and likely blocked my calls. I would hate to work with this company again. It was the most stressful moment of my year thus far and I work as a cardiac nurse...

Con Artists and Frauds!!!! Avoid!!!!
This company is fraudulent!!!! Please look elsewhere for your moving needs. I paid a deposit which they emphasized over and over again is fully refundable per their contract if a cancellation is made within 7 business days. I made sure of this multiple times. I was told that cancelling would be very easy should it happen. I had to cancel my move which I did 8 business days before my original pickup date. I requested a full refund per their policy and have everything in email documentation. I was told I am not eligible for a refund but was not told why. They do not respond to emails in a timely manner. They claim there is no billing department phone number or manager to speak to. They are keeping people’s money fraudulently with no valid reason. They said that people’s files are “erased” once a cancellation is made, so there is no way for them to verify that I cancelled before 7 business days. What type of legit company delete’s people’s files?? This is infuriating and very scammy behavior. Avoid at all costs. Save your money and don’t give them any more money if you’ve made the same mistake of putting a deposit down.

The absolute worst moving experience of…
The absolute worst moving experience of my life. They are a moving broker so the movers that arrived clearly had not communicated with the company and on the day of the move, told us they couldn’t take tons of things, did not have the correct boxes wer were told would be provided, had to go buy more supplies, and asked me if I had any tape. They repeatedly increased the price so it went from a quote of $2200 to $7200. By that time, 90% of our stuff was in the truck so there wasn’t anything to do but pay the exorbitant price. They changed the moving day from either Friday or Saturday to calling us Monday night and asking if we could move Tuesday. When we received our things, tons of stuff was missing and we’ve been informed it’s all gone. I haven’t unfinished unpacking yet but so far a lamp, a fan, multiple antiques, clothing, a stool and more. The movers also brought in at least 5 boxes/larger items that were not ours so they clearly do not know what they’re doing. Other things including bed frame, headboard, and lampshade (which I no longer need since they lost the lamp) were damanged. I cannot NOT recommend them more, especially if you ever want to see your stuff again. Horrible experience.
