Do not hire these people

Do not hire these people. I received a quote for approximately $2300 for a 1 bedroom house with very little furniture which I thought was more than fair for the service being provided.

After calling to schedule the actual pickup they told me the quote was now $2900 and I need to pay them a deposits of $1600 and they cannot use debit or credit cards because they do not have the ability.When I told them I would hire somebody els they were magically able to take a credit card payment. At this point I should have canceled the service and hired a different company.

On the pickup date, a truck arrived an hour after the scheduled time with only 1 mover. The said the other movers where on the way yet they never arrived, the packing went well however after he finished the company sent me an invoice for $5600 and said that I had more than they expected even tho we went over it on the phone at least 4 times. I paid them.

I sent them a check and they called me several times a day asking for money and the moment they were paid, they didn’t call again.

I had to call them to ask for my belongings and they told me they didn’t know where they were or when I would get them. Days later I was called to be told I would receive them tonight, but they needed to charge me $750 to move my goods from truck to truck and an additional $75 per step per staircase. I flat out told them no. They haven’t called and I have not received the service I overpaid for.

They charge you exceedingly for their logistical failures or just because and communication is nonexistent. Hire literally anybody else for a better and more affordable experience.

Update:

Belongings have been delivered, so far, without unpacking boxes, I have stains on my $2000 mattress, scratches and damage to my entertainment stand, damage to the support structure of my bookshelf and trash was left outside.

I was charged $1000 for stairs, walking and their inability to manage basic logics. They refused to take any form of official, respectable, clear paper trail payment for services and refused to give me my belongings until they were paid in full. When I expressed my extreme displeasure of their terrible business model, the “supervisor” I was speaking to (who told me there was nobody above him) threatened to charge me $150 and hour until I paid them in full with a postal money order, Zelle or cash.

Since he was using his leverage over my assets and threatening to charge me grossly, I begrudgingly accepted. The moving crew themself were wonderful.

I will be seeking legal counsel

The destination changed from Arizona to Oklahoma mid shipping, no charge was added. The increased cost was due to additional items being shipped. Stairs and shuttle were charges advised of prior to booking if needed. Sorry that you feel communication was poor, but after reviewing the file everything in your complaint was discussed prior to booking.

Also, your review is entirely on the carrier which is an entirely separate business then us.

They nickle and dimed me for…

They nickle and dimed me for everything, and I asked during my calls what was included in the estimate and what wasn't.

They didn't take any accountability for failing to communicate. I gave them my entire inventory and they quoted me for much less square footage than what was needed, so I had to pay thousands more.

Shady business.

I would give them a zero if I could

I would give them a zero if I could. THEY ARE NOT MOVER, THEY ARE ONLY BROKER, once you made the down payment, you can never reach the right person again, they leave you alone to deal with the real mover, who took LESS THAN HALF of the furniture in Top Moving Solutions Quotation, and if I didn't agree, they will NOT refund my down payment. And, they lost my things, the bed rails were not delivered until two weeks after other furniture were delivered, it's super hard to reach anyone, either the real mover (M&R Expedit Mover and Storage ) or Top Moving Solutions. Pls pls pls, don't be like me, DON'T USE THEM!, YOU WILL END UP PAYING MORE! Even though their quotation looks cheaper! And the service is sooooo poor! And, when you fill up the insurance claim they (M&R Expedit Mover and Storage, who is supposedly the subcontractor) sent to you, don't expect a reply, because there won't be any! If you have things missing, you lost them forever! No one cares, NOT Top Moving Solutions, NOT their sub-contractor!

Stay away from this Broker

Stay away from this Broker, Mac Kather If that is really his name. They lied to me and said I would get my money back if I submitted an email within seven days of the move which I did and now I cannot get ahold of any one and lost my deposit. I sure wish someone would get back to me so I could get that deposit back.I could really use it.
I just read another review for another person that the exact thing happened to them.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. This is a broker, not a moving company. I specifically asked them and they lied and said they were a family owned business. Like everyone else, I had trouble with the pick up dates they promised and the estimate was worthless. Had to pay almost double the day of the move. I haven’t gotten my delivery yet.

I found this company had decent reviews…

I found this company had decent reviews so I booked a move that was about 750 miles.

The movers showed up on time to pick up my items but they claim the square footage was massively underestimated and said that for the amount of furniture I had, they would have to charge almost 2x what I was quoted.

I ended up getting rid of some items rather than paying the higher charge which was extremely frustrating.

Then, the movers did not show up to my new apartment on the scheduled day. I figured there would maybe be a few days to wait for the delivery. It is now a full week after the delivery date, no one has reached out with any updates. When I called to ask, I was told it will probably be another week.

These are the sort of issues I was hoping to avoid by using a reputable moving company. I would stay away from this service, this has been a huge hassle.

This is a binding price based on the inventory you provided, and services requested in the estimate. The only way this price will change is if you add any additional services or inventory items to your move. Based on your list we have you estimated at 370 cf: cubic feet. If at any time you require an additional space reservation or should your list of items take up more space, your binding rate shall remain the same as stated in your contract. Per your contract, your binding rate per cubic foot is $5.85:
Additional services would be long carry over 100 ft from the truck to your door, flights of stairs over 12 steps on the exterior of your home, elevator services or packing. YOU are responsible to have all your boxes and fragile items packed, (I.E. glass tabletops, curio cabinets, TV’s Etc.) Unless specifically noted on your electronically signed order. We do offer ala Cart packing if you need, for an additional cost. Mattresses must be wrapped, and covers can be provided.
Your arrival date is a 3-day window, we will confirm which day the pick-up will be up to 3 days prior to your first day or as late as the evening before your last day prior to the scheduled arrival date, along with a 3-hour estimated time of arrival. Your move date is flexible however, it is based on our availability. Please let us know of any date changes with as much advanced notice as possible to make sure we can accommodate you.
Your delivery time frame is a window based on your first available delivery date and your destination, which is your F.A.D. Your F.A.D. is NOT your delivery date, it is the first date of your delivery window. If your household goods are being stored in our facility. Your FAD window will be applicable once you notify and confirm with the company that you are available to receive delivery. At that point we will schedule your items to be picked up from storage and once loaded your delivery window will begin.
Expedited Delivery – If at any time should you be interested in receiving an expedited delivery, we offer this option at a flat rate per cubic foot. Should you select this option, your delivery window will be decreased by 50%. For example, if your delivery window was 7-14 days your expedited delivery window would now be 3 ½-7 days. This option can be added at any time prior to pick-up or delivery if storage services are included.
REMINDERS – Due to the delivery time frames, we suggest that you do not ship any important documentation such as: passports, birth certificates, social security cards and any other personal identification. We also recommend that you do not pack any medications or medical equipment that will be needed during the time of transit. We also encourage that you do not transport any business or professional necessities. This includes but is not limited to, small electronic equipment, such as ipads, laptops, and computers that you would need immediate access to throughout the duration of pickup and delivery. It is strongly recommended to not schedule house closings the day after the last day of your arrival window because it is for arrival not job completion, leaving an extra day for unforeseen circumstances is always a best practice.
$1080.30 - Credit card is only accepted for deposits in most instances, personal checks can be used on pick up when deliveries are scheduled to be longer than 3 business days, otherwise pick up and delivery must be a certified form of payment for direct deliveries. Deposits are nonrefundable for moves canceled on pickup day.

Stay away!

Stay away! They broker out your move to the lowest bidder and as soon as you get passed off they do not handle the move in anyway, you are on your own. They got me by quoting me very low. I had them double check my items. I provided up to date pictures and listed virtually everything that had to be moved. I got a quote for $4,200. When the movers actually showed up my actual move cost was $10,040! I could not get an itemized explanation of where the gap was and was totally screwed. The moving company was Platinum Moving Services and they were even worse than Top Moving Solutions. Terrible communication, unclear payment terms. The whole operation felt incredibly shady. I've moved 6 times including an international move. This was hands down the most frustrating experience. I legitimately thought I was getting scammed because there is no way a legit business could operate this way and stay in business!

Shady shady shady

Shady shady shady! DO NOT USE! Original price was less than $3k for move from Chicago to N.C. then the next price a week before pick up went up to over $7k Then on pick up, the new price was over 13k and they demanded half in cash only. I had no choice to pay as it was moving day. Mike reddington with this company told me he was not a “middle man” but the movers told me he was. Then the delivery was weeks late and when I called for updates the lady was so incredibly rude telling me my belongings “would get there when it gets there” and they have 2 months to meet the delivery expectation. When I ansked where my where my belonging were, she told me she didn’t know because it’s annother company that has that info but would not give me any info on that company. Also the remainder of the balance was due in cash only or they would not unload the truck. The whole experience was awful. They operate under numerous company names and source the entire process out. Mike reddington you are a deceitful person and should be ashamed.

On 2/21/24 you reply to this review to call you? Are you kidding me???? I called you so many times and had Mike’s cell and was texting like crazy when the whole moving disaster experience was happening and got no reply! Why no reply, because you got your money from me and your part of the deal was done. Just hope and pray you do better business in the future for the sake of your future customers who do not know any better.

Thank you for our smooth move. Any time I had a question or concern Mac was there for me & insuring me that I had no worries. I felt comfortable speaking w/him. I received discounts for which I qualified for which really made my decision on the final cost ! The movers where professional and very courteous ! It was a single digit degree day & they did not skip a beat. Much appreciated for all the services from beginning to end. Will not hesitate to use Moving Solutions again.

DO NOT USE - FRAUDULENT COMPANY

All of my belongings were destroyed and many things were stolen. My brand new couch was demolished. My TV, packed in its original box was stolen. My table, chairs, and boos cutting board were also stolen. All boxes were crushed and 5 boxes were stolen. 3 boxes arrived EMPTY. My stuff was delivered to the wrong house where it was left for over a week. This company destroyed everything I own and took away my most valued possessions. They are criminals. I have photos of everything and intend to sue this company. DO NOT USE THEM OR SIGN UPON DELIVERY! THAT IS HOW THEY TRAP YOU!!
