What a nightmare

What a nightmare. Firstly they are a Broker who solicit trucking companies to move you. I was quoted $2500 to move me from Little Elm TX to McKeesport PA. Mind you I was looking for the lowest price available. Well let me tell you this was a costly lesson learned. I dealt with 3 different entities for this move. I paid $1070 up front and when I went over inventory with the 2nd lady she told me it was an additional $485 for 5 cubic feet and had to be paid that day to move forward. I had alreay notified my landlord the 15th was my move out date so Im now at there mercy. Never once did they mention that it was a total different person coming to pack up my things or that my things would be going on to McKeesport. The movers who were scheduled for 12/14/2023 did not show up because they claim they were stuck in Alburqueque NM due to a snow storm but I had to call to find out this information. This is the 2nd party arrived and I was told the total cost would be $8600 minus what I had already paid and they gave me a $600 discount since they did not show up on the date scheduled. They packed up my place and it was at that time I was told they would not be delivering my goods to McKeesport and it will be put in storage. Again what am I going to do my stuff is packed and that was my move out date. I arrived in McKeesport PA on 17th of December. I called this 2nd entity and was told they had 21/days to deliver my goods. Now I'm livid. The guy mentioned this is not the first time this has happened. The nightmare continues, On 1/4 I received a call advising me the driver will be here on the 5th. No call no show and again I had to make the phone only to find out they had to get a tire repaired. I could go on about this terrible ordeal but I'm done. My things were delivered which cost me an additional $75. Ask the right questions when dealing with these types of companies. They only do local moves. I don't advise you use Top Moving Solutions. This began on 11/10/2023 first deposit til delivery 1/6/2024

Jim Pierce is a Scammer

Whatever you do, DO NOT TRUST top moving solutions. This company, Jim Pierce, and the people they outsource are all scammers and thieves!!!

1. He intentionally underquotes so that the day of moving you are stuck with a bill 2-3x more than the initial quoted price.
2. He claims that the drivers are via their company… they are not. He outsourced a company to pick up my items. Then another company was outsourced to deliver my items.
3. The claim shipping takes 7-10 business days, it took over a month for me to receive my items.
4. SOME OF MY POSSESSIONS WERE STOLEN.

Throughout the moving process, I felt TAKEN ADVANTAGED OF!!!! You are better off going with a more reputable service.

Some good, Some bad

Some good, some bad. I did forget to tell the movers on arrival about a couple of items and the drivers turned around to cone back and get them which was great. What’s not great is that 5 of my boxes arrived completely soaked and ruined. I’m temporarily in a storage unit and not a permanent address which means I have to go thru my boxes ro see if anything is damaged and then buy new boxes to repack things in storage. It looks as though my boxes were just left in the rain or in a huge puddle. And it seems like not all of my boxes actually made it to me too, I estimate I’m missing at least one box it not two which can’t be accounted for due to poor inventory. Now, in the next two weeks I’ll have to go thru every box to make sure I have everything. Not a professional way to treat people’s belongs at all. At least I didn’t have to pay more than I was quoted.

I’m giving them a 1 because there is no other options. They are brokers, thieves. DO NOT use these people. They lie to get your business, then sell you to a small moving company that doubles your price… beware.. they have many LLCs and go under Too moving solutions.. moving solutions.. number one moving solutions… it’s all the same company

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU CONTACT FMSCA AND FILE A COMPLAINT IF YOU HAVE A BAD EXPERIENCE WITH TOPMOVINGSOLUTIONS. THE FMSCA REGULATES INTERSTATE MOVERS.
[[[[[[[Moving Solutions and Mr Mac Kather are telling lies. I originally paid Moving Solutions on 9/27/2023. After that on 9/29/2023, two days later, We called and talked to Mr Mac Kather, At that time I requested a refund from Moving Solutions. Mr Kather stated, at that time the refund would be here to me in 7 to 10 business days.]]]]]] We, my wife and I waited for over two weeks for the refund and it never showed up. I called their office and was told again it was on the way. Later when it didn't show up, I called again. This time I was told by Laurie we needed to send a letter by email to get our money back. So on I sent an email on 10/16/2023 requesting a refund and now I am being told through your office that I am not eligible for a refund.

The reason I was requesting a refund on 9/29/2023 is because I thought their company was a brokerage and not an actual moving company. I found out later they were a moving company and not a brokerage. Mr Kather, when we originally spoke to him assured my wife and I that we could get a refund up until a week before our move. We had established with Mr Kather and Moving Solutions we were not moving until 5/31/2024. Now, Moving Solutions has changed their story and is telling us in order to get a refund " he needed to do that within 72 hours of booking to avoid financial penalty". We have been lied to on several occasions by Mr Kather and Moving Solutions while they continue to hold on to our $1943.33.

Three times we were told by Moving Solutions that we were getting a refund only to find they never intended to refund us. Its a shame how this company is doing business. They are in the wrong and they know they are. Oh by the way there is nothing in their contract that states "he needed to do that within 72 hours of booking to avoid financial penalty". What a horrible way to do business.

I just read their contract, which is online. They never sent out a paper contract so I had to go online to find the 72 hour booking statement which is buried in their contract and highlighted in yellow. Mac Kather gave us his word when I called 2 days after the contract was negotiated, that our refund would get to us in 7 to 10 business days. Not only that, Mr Kather had previously told us nothing about the 72 hour booking statement which they are touting my wife and I should have known. We were mislead by Mr Kather who told us we would get our refund back if we requested a week before our pick up date which was 5/31/2024. We were tricked and have no way to prove Mr Kather said the things that he said about a refund. Nor can we prove the young lady who answered the customer service phone told us the check was in the mail. This whole thing is a scam perpetrated on us by Mr Mac Kather and we have no way to prove it.

Does the fact that the contract is online and not a paper contract make a difference? Plus we were never invited to look at the contract because we totally trusted. Mr Mac Kather.

This company is non-responsive to…everything

This company is non-responsive to customer needs. After placing down payment for move for Ann Arbor to Siver Springs, I had questions about the contract, delivery, and who to make cashier check out to. Customer service was non-responsive and Luke who did my contract (working out of NC) did not answer emails or return calls to answer my questions. Once drivers arrived for pick-up, my shipping boxes were already packed but the drivers said they needed to repack the furniture using their materials. However, I was previously told I could pack using the authorized shipping boxes. First, I ended up paying twice the cost quoted. The drivers & I attempted to contact Top Moving Solutions/dispatchers, they did not answer the phone. The drivers were patient and waited on my son to go back to the bank to get another cashier's check for the extra costs and correct payment with the correct company name. It was so frustrating to be quoted a huge difference in cost and never have your emails or phone call returned. I felt this company knew the cost was going to be much higher. Being a military veteran, I would expect better communication, better customer service, and trust in a company. I have never provided negative feedback for any company. However, do better by your customers. HONESTY goes a long way. I do NOT recommend using Moving Solutions, the Chicago based company.

Incredibly unprofessional

Incredibly unprofessional. This is the worst moving company I have ever had the displeasure of using. First, the sales agent quoted 1 same-day pick up and delivery only to find out later that it would be next day, evening. While frustrated, I waited until the next day, when I was told it would be another 24 hours. Now lacking my medication and necessary supplies, I was in a panic. I waited the additional 24 hours ONLY to find they were delayed yet ANOTHER 24 hours. The experience was a nightmare. The agent misrepresented the delivery and pick up. And worst of all, after they finally arrived 4 days later than planned, they "misplaced" several items including an expensive bar cart.

A legal suit is in motion. Do not use them.

Lost and damaged most of our stuff

Lost and damaged most of our stuff. Lewis (the person we worked with) was responsive initially, but stopped responding. Customer support is useless. They take down your information and say the office will call you but they never do.

I would never recommend you use this company.

LOST AND DAMAGED

LOST AND DAMAGED - what more can I say~! They delivered ontime BUT with tens of thousands of dollars of lost and damaged items. Offered a lousy $125 settlement. Won't return my calls. The owner originally talked to me during the Sales process - now is AWOL! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!

Sub contracted to Sannah Van Lines

Move was Sub contracted to Sannah Van Lines. NO HELP FROM THESE FOLKS. Sannah clearly the most incompetent Organization I’ve ever seen. Wendy and Hannah combined of Sannah Van Lines don’t possess adequate intelligence to even lie well. I’ve been forced to go to the CA agency which regulates movers; California Bureau of Household Goods and Services. Do NOT any circumstances accept text messages as a method of originating, editing or acknowledgements. Perform business only over printable internet documents, better still don’t waste your time, unless you need to experience existence based performance with entertaining excuses. After 2 months still not delivered. Plenty of nice works, however no results.
