DONT GET DUPED.
IS THIS A SCAM?
Bought via amazon.
Three years ago i ordered this h/pipe from this seller, and what i received was a cheaper version,in an old box, with just bands around the hose to keep it in place.
Mistakes happen i thought, so complained and returned the hose, and received by return the correct hose in the manufacturers shrink wrap and card original packaging.
Being pleased with this hose, this June i ordered one for a friend, and remembering the previous problem and noting other reviews, i sent TNS an email at the time of ordering requesting the hose to be in original packaging as per the illustration, or dont bother sending.
You know where this is going, dont you? Same scenario, battered box and a cheaper hose with bands around it, not the "no torsion knitted hose" that was illustrated and ordered.
Miffed, i asked for a refund.
TIP; it took TNS the max. 3 days to respond to my emails, and two not being answered at all, so go through amazon cust. service to get to these cowboys because Amazon emails were dealt with immediately.
The refund was slow, again requiring the intervention of Amazon to get things moving.
Taking into account my own experiences with TNS, and reviews of others its my belief that this seller is sending out a cheaper hose and hoping customers wont notice, its not easy to tell the difference between the hoses as they are both yellow with a red line.
HOW MANY OTHERS HAVE BEEN UNKNOWINGLY DUPED ?
Bonnington Plastics, who supply these hoses under the Kingfisher name no longer list the illustrated hose on their website.
DONT GET FOOLED BY THIS SELLER.
