We spent a wonderful few days at tortuga lodge. It is a beautiful eco lodge set in the midst of the jungle. The staff were excellent. They went over and above to ensure we had a brilliant trip (including volunteering to babysit for our 3 young children so we could go on a late night trip to see the turtles). The restaurant was excellent and the setting is idyllic. I couldn’t recommend more highly.

We really enjoyed time in this beautiful and comfortable hotel in Tortuguero. Very kind stuff and awesome location, all working for you to spend the best time there. We would repeat our experience there.

My wife and I had a fantastic time at Tortuga Lodge which is in a magical setting. The staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and the food was delicious. The organised trips were all interesting and enjoyable, even with a bit to tropical rain

A real oasis. High quality food in a remote district. The resort is only housing 60-70 at max so the excursions are usually having 2-8 people rather than the larger resorts with 20 in a boat. Staff is top notch.

Our time at Tortuga Lodge was thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable. Our room was very clean, comfortable and inviting and the staff was friendly and helpful. We did three guided tours during our stay and the staff who led the tours did a great job of locating and pointing out wildlife, such as sloths and "Jesus Christ" lizards (they walk on water!). We would love to return for another visit.

From the moment we arrived we experienced first class service in a unique location. We were so pleased that we chose to visit Tortuga Lodge with Costa Rica Expeditions. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and the opportunity to visit the local school to speak English with the children provided us with another special memory to take away.

Second visit to Tortuga Lodge, wonderful accommodation, lovely friendly staff and fantastic wildlife in the hotel grounds. We would love to go back next week if we could, perhaps next year.

Beautiful location, you are immersed in the jungle, food is lacking in variety this is due to getting the food to the lodge, lovely pool - very relaxing

Great stay at Tortuga Lodge and loved Tortuguero area. The lodge was in a great location and the staff were attentive and helpful all along the way. The hiking trails behind the lodge and river boat tours are not to me missed.
