Call Agent was knowledgeable and communicated very clearly - she was excellent. Got all the information I needed to amend my policy and renew it. Very happy

Been with towergate for almost 10 years and had found them good. This year they were late sending renewal terms then missed a property off. Called and got this rectified but they then had to refer to underwriters. Despite numerous phone calls and promises to come back and sort out so far after over a month no resolution. So I've gone elsewhere. Very disappointed

I have been with Towergate Insurance for 14 years and never made a claim, today I did third-party company that deals with claims very poor no one answered the phone and I eventually got told we have no cover over recent storm damage. I would stay way clear of this 2 bit company

I have been with towergate for many years, I have a small business that I work from home, when you put this in a search engine you house insurance quote rockets, but towergate were extremely reasonable, whenever you call the staff go above and beyond to help you with whatever you need, I couldn’t recommend them enough, especially if you work from home with a small business

In my experience, Towergate are an introduction route to an insurance company so that you can tick a box to say you have insurance.
My wife’s restaurant business went to the wall after the Towergate brokered insurance company based in China declined to pay out after two major incidents occurred where a claim was submitted that would have saved the business - one for business disruption at the UK Covid shut down period and a second business disruption instance where a third party building repair effectively hid the restaurant reducing its sales to a critical point that it failed.
Towergate should learn quickly to propose companies that consider business disruption claims or with no customers they could soon be at risk too.

Very helpful with my request

Poor customer service. Spent time completing a detailed online quote for landlords insurance. When their sales representative phoned me back a few hours later, was told that unless I take out a policy with a start date this week - they are unable to provide me any sort of quote. Felt extremely backward and poor customer service not to warn of that upfront. Don't waste your time.

The advisor was personable, understanding, didnt rush the process and made sure I understood everything required to make the correct decision.

My experience with Towergate was disappointing. Trying to insure unoccupied dwelling. I couldn’t speak to the same person twice which led to an unsatisfactory series of phone calls. The quote I finally received was almost double the one I eventually found. In the end I had to give up (luckily as it turned out) as no-one would contact me. The experience I had at my next choice was so much better. Same person to deal with, returned phone calls and a very competitive quote.

Having been with Towergate Insurance for five years, I was deeply disappointed when the underwriter refused to Insure our tourer, in a storage facility another insurance company was happy to do so.

Admittedly it was the target of a gang of thieves the year before, who stole a van, but it was human error. The thieves were caught and extra security added. The storage facility is far more secure than the site we had it situated on and yet they were happy to insure us for that. Their reasoning just doesn't make sense and their "sorry you've decided to leave us and can you tell us more" emails are quite frankly insulting.

I wish I'd have read some of the reviews about this company, before giving them any of my money.

Update: It also seems this company is fond of sending out forms and then don't follow through. 🤔

Would give 0 if could, they have a whole page on their website about mothorme insurance, filled in details online and called to be told they haven't done motorhome insurance for a long time! Eh? Why haven't you updated your website then to remove it? the lady told me she gets lots of calls saying the same!

Leaving them after 20 plus years of having professional indemnity with them.
Terrible customer services and ridiculous automated texting. Also more expensive than everyone else for the pleasure. Last few years they have been disinterested in even discussing my policy with them- they can’t even be bothered to take my money now, I dread what they would do if I ever needed to claim! I can’t risk it and so I promised myself this year I would leave if it continued and I have. I got a better deal elsewhere and the customer service was a massive contrast. Bye bye Towergate.

Towergate are always helpful & efficient, their premuims are very reasonable and I have stayed with them for several policies for over a decade for this reason, but ALSO because you can always get them easily on the phone.

I got through quickly. Then followed 45 minutes of questions, but the guy was very friendly and we even had a few laughs. The final quote was better than I had feared.

Online would not except make of boat ( jeanneau) had to phone. Quote did not match quote from another company but beat the other quote if you except the £40 amazon voucher. Why!!!! Bring the price of your product down..
After receiving three quotes, and comparing all three towergate came on top. Although not the cheapest,they weren't dearest. Four stars because I was unable to complete on line.
