Nightmare of a move

Abysmal response time and customer service. No flexibility in there schedule to work even a Saturday until lunch time for people that work a 5 day 9am-6pm jo. Had to take time out of my work day to collect the keys only to be waiting an extra 25 mins and the keys on the handover to not be at the apartment either so then had to wait for someone to bring them through to us. NEVER available to speak over the phone either making things even more difficult if you work in a regulated environment with little to no access to emails etc. Get 2 stars purely for the woman doing the viewing as she was lovely and apologetic for things

Townhouse have managed 3 properties for me for several years now. They have always been approachable and efficient in dealing with any issues that have arisen. Their legal knowledge has also been invaluable when dealing with other landlords and tenants.
Really can’t fault them. Have used them for several years and intend to keep using them.

Brilliant Service - both letting and sale

We have both let and sold our property through Townhouse Letting and they have been brilliant. Will and his team have always been on hand to answer any questions and have offered great advice along the way. We wouldn't go anywhere else in Manchester to manage our property.

This company falsely advertise…

This company falsely advertise apartments. We went to view a flat, after two cancelled viewings, to find the apartment that was on Rightmove was a completely different one. The person we met wasn't interested at all. Shocking service. Avoid these cowboys!

Moved into a property WORST EXPERIENCE

Moved into a property, the garden hasn’t been done, fridge and freezer trays are broken boiler didn’t work carpet has not been changed broken door hasn’t been fixed, the house was also really dirty. Emailed several times and been ignored and the maintenance number never goes through. This is my first and last time with townhouse lettings, I’m regretting it really bad. I should’ve believed the reviews I read before moving in. NOT A SINGLE AGENT HAS BEEN TOUCH WITH ME ABOUT THE “PROMISED CHANGES” that would happen!!!

Ref to property

Ref to property : Flat 24, Brookfield Court, Burnage Avenue, Manchester, M19 2JB.

Very poor customer service. I rang and the person who answered had no info about the property and advised to send email, which i did and even after a week , no reply despite ringing again.
Booked viewing last week ,i did inform them that i am an hour away ,so if any changes to let me know early, however half an hour before time they cancelled it (i already travelled halfway) and rearranged for this Wednesday. Today i rang before travelling and they confirmed that the viewing will be going ahead on time ,however just 1 min before time they rang to cancel it and asking for it to either cancel it completely or reschedule it for next Wednesday, thus wasting my 2 hours journey.
Clearly not serious in business and rather discouraging customers .

Access was arrange with the tenant and arrangements were made to collect keys from the landlords office. Unfortunately when my collage attended the lens are not available and we were unable to gain access to property. We wood be happy to re book you to view the property at any point next week.

Townhouse lettings are outstanding…

Townhouse lettings are outstanding personal service. Will Collinge the Director goes above and beyond. I use them to rent my property and the service is by far better and personal to my needs. When buying another property they even viewed this for me sending me snap shots and it never cost me anything. I have emergency repair at my rental and they sent me 3 prices and everything was sorted on my behalf and again all within the cost. I would highly recommend them - Dean M4 6JA

Excellent customer service

Excellent customer service, particularly from Will Collinge, who went above and beyond by assisting me in viewing properties on my behalf, and therefore, freeing up my time. His knowledge and expertise are second to none. I would not hesitate to recommend this company, especially Will, to anyone. Absolutely fantastic!

Awful experience!!

I have had an awful experience with this estate agents. I completed an application after viewing. I was open and honest and declared on my application some past financial difficulties I had been in. They continues with the process, requesting proof of income, references, etc. I provided all the information they requested. Communication was terrible. I would email the agent I had been allocated, however I would not receive an email at all, or would receive an email two days later. I then received a call on Thursday (over a week after my application) asking to explain the situation with my past financial difficulties and to send more proof of my payment plan, which I provided within ten minutes of them asking. I was told if i could pay 3 months rent upfront it would be fine. So i said this is fine and got the money together. I even sold my car for this. I was then told I should be fine to move into the property that same day or the following day. I again, received no communication after this until the following day when I received an email from a different agent who I had never had any contact with to tell me I could not continue with my tenancy due to my previous financial difficulties. I do not understand why it has taken two weeks to tell me this, on the day I was due to move, after I had sent over all the proof requested. Why was I told I could pay 3 months upfront? I will never recommend using these again.

Agent didn't show up for viewing

Update: Will contacted me the next day and rearranged the viewing.

Booked viewing for a couple for properties after calling multiple times throughout the week.

1. Two bedroom apartment in Tuscany house.
2. Two bedroom apartment at 30 Princess street.

Booking was confirmed by Jessica and the agent who was supposed to meet me was Will.

I waited from 9 am to 10 30 but the agent didn't show up.

The viewing process with other agencies was seamless, but with townhouse lettings it seems very difficult just to view the apartment.

Started the purchase of an apartment…

Started the purchase of an apartment back in April in which Will was handing it. Would highly recommend as he provided me with all of the details on the day, as well as hand held the rest of chasing for details. Other than things out of his control, it went smoothly.

A pleasant tenancy

The agency staff Emily, Will and Matt are all very polite, helpful and professional. During my tenancy, few problems occurred but those that did were handled swiftly with provisions in place while building maintenance work was being carried out.
Overall I'd say this is one of the better letting agencies in Manchester that I have lived with. When I came to move out, the deposit was paid in full with no fuss - something that I did not expect from a landlord/letting agency. I wish them the best in the future.
