Problems with theft. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE

Do not use this service. I used it before Christmas due to Royal Mail being on strike, and presumed my parcel would get to Music Magpie quicker with toyou. How wrong I was. I sent it on 9th December through Asdatoyou. On 10th December it was updated to say 'on way to national hub' and nothing since. Like many other reviews I have been advised by Music Magpie that this will have been stolen! I contacted Music Magpie and they've been great, although they are still awaiting a response to the claim they have made via Asdatoyou. If you don't want your item stolen or 'go missing' DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. Update 8/2/2023 - Music Magpie are now ignoring my chaser emails so I am no further forward.

minus stars

I want to put minus stars. Sent my parcel on 4 January and been in their depot since 7 January when supposed to send to music magpie. Asda basically washing their hands and saying nothing to do with them but this is shocking and unacceptable. I like many want my money that I’m owed.

Absolutely terrible company

Absolutely terrible company. I will never use this service again. The parcel was open and three items missing including a dress for Christmas day. I know there is poverty but the company should strengthen their employees' checks. Better avoid!

Items missing after returned

Absolutely shocking service. Items missing and not returned to new look. Email reply takes days and despite receiving and email to say we have your return they keep asking for the receipt. The tone of the email is awful. Do not use this service and if you can return via another method. I am disgusted, never normally review with a post, but on this occasion it’s needed!

Similar experience to many

Similar experience to many. Returned something, got a confirmation email with a tracking number, the tracking number doesn’t exist when I type it in and the parcel is nowhere to be found. Absolutely gutted to lose this money, this service should be withdrawn.

Used once, never again.

Just like so many others have complained, the item I sent via Asda’s ToYou service was “lost”. So basically stolen.

Last seen at the national depot and then no movement on the tracking for 3 weeks.

A little advice for anyone reading this who has used the service for selling an iPhone to music magpie: they will ask for the IMEI number of the phone to make a claim. You can find this on the back of the box if you still have it. Alternatively you may find it on the invoice from the company you purchased the phone from (you will also need a copy of this along with the receipt from ToYou). Thankfully music magpie were amazing with their response and paid the promised price within 24 hours despite a ToYou employee stealing their shipment.

If I could give this service zero stars…

If I could give this service zero stars I would. Sent 3 items to music magpie on the 12th August 2022! Young boy on the counter who scanned my package was in a terrible mood, as the scanner machine appeared to be acting up. Eventually my receipt was ripped out of it and handed over. Stupidly I just popped it in my bag and left, without checking it. Obviously it didn’t arrive at music magpie so started chasing it. Went into Asda, they couldn’t help (as the receipt stated Paul, boutique), except reassured me if I went back when management was in they’d check the scanner. Went back, they couldn’t help. Contacted toyou, and a very helpful lady responded saying they’d check cctv, so I told her the time I was in and what I was wearing etc. heard nothing back. Now when I try to email, they say my email address isn’t linked to the claim and that’s as far as I get! Does anyone have any advice or guidance. I can’t just leave this, as it was over £200 worth of stuff my 12 yo wanted to sell!

Sent an iPhone 14 to Music Magpie using this 'service'. Ten days down the line, it's been 'lost' ( stolen ). There is literally no customer services to contact. No number, no online form, no chat, no email. I'm now £561 down and have no one to contact about it other than MM who have passed the buck back to the toyou clowns. Avoid like the plague.

A positive experience

Lots of 1 star reviews here so thought I'd share my own experience as mine was positive! Took the parcel to ASDA on 19th of October, had a confirmation email from toyou the same day saying they'd received my parcel which also provided tracking info (which did work). Then had another email on the 24th to say the parcel had been dispatched back to retailer. And today (28th) I've had email confirmation from the retailer to say they've got the return and are processing my refund. Fairly quick service as returns always take a good few working days but no issues whatsoever. Will definitely use again.

One star is like too much for them

One star is like too much for them, their service is worst.. they steal your products and pretend like it’s still at their depot. Do not use their service at all. No contact number, customer care.. utter useless.. avoid it like 150% even without a thought.
