DHL WORSY COURIER EVER

DHL - Worst company i have ever used. Ordered a parcel and selected a collection point. DHL accepted this. The updates then advised collection point closed on 2 delivery attempts. I eventually got through to someone who advised the parcel was too big to be left at a collection point (why give this as an option then) In addition it should be automatic this is recognized. I then telephoned DHL customer service line. (contact Centre in South Africa, where none of their systems are intergraded with DHL) The staff will just lie and say they are updating DHL records. I spent 30 minutes talking to Andre who advised the shipment had been re booked for delivery to my address. Next day DHL update says returned to merchant. Lies, bad customer service and bad technology. Don't use DHL. Horrific.

Not to be trusted - but great for misinformation and lies!

Yet again - and I mean something like 50% of the time, DHL Parcel UK say a delivery will arrive between certain hours, you wait in for it as required, and are stop 82. Hang on its 11am they have been delivering for nearly 2 hours and are at stop 11, that means they will not be here to midnight? Now its just past the end of the allotted delivery time and tracking says - "We're sorry but we haven’t been able to deliver as our driver was unable to gain access to the delivery address" How many times have I had this message before, we are in 24/7 have nearly 30 cctv cameras and there was nothing to prevent access to the address. If the have cocked up admit it and let me know, but do not give a shallow apology compounded with an outright lie. I now where possible avoid buying from companies that use DHL: and advise them accordingly. Given that we have 10 or so deliveries a day that is quite a few companies I have told I will not buy from them due to their using DHL. Parcel Force and UPS never a problem.

Abysmal Company

I wouldn't have given one star, but I had no choice.
I have the very same situation of a none delivery where
DHL are an Abysmal Company. I've already complained about the issue with Toolstation, and they dealt with the matter which has been oustanding from weeks of waiting with DHL.
I have to say, Toolstation are brilliant and ended up with having to re-send another replacement. The original must have been misplaced by DHL as I have't heard anything from them, not a dicky bird!....not even an apology from DHL.
Low and behold, DHL are at it again......as I checked the tracking information for this replacement, it says that at am this morning the delivery had been delayed and the courier cannot deliver it. EXACTLY the same wording as previous issue.
It now sits in some kind of sorting depot!!!
What is exactly wrong with these people??? Is there some kind of industrial sabotage going on or something?
Please someone help!!!!!!!!...........before I have a breakdown.

The endless DHL nightmare

The endless DHL nightmare.

They never got a delivery right.

Customer service is unreachable.

They do not read what you write.

Drivers cannot read address, and are unable to ring a bell.

Please, let's boycott this company.

Do Not Use DHL. I will never use this service again.

I purchased items which came via DHL. I used DHL to return the same items and DHL say they lost both boxes.

I sent two boxes in December 2022 last year via DHL which never arrived at their destination.

If I could give no stars I would.

It is now February 2023 and I am still chasing them. I would not use them at all.

It has been extremely difficult and time consuming to get anyone to talk to by phone and responses via email seem to be when they feel like it. Disgusting service. They really do not care about their customers.

Their excuse for the loosing my boxes was that the boxes also contained mirrors which they do no deliver. News Flash.......Alert!! Again the mirror were originally delivered by DHL.

At no point during the booking process for the return, did the system flag - no mirrors!! I made clear when the delivery driver came to collect, that both boxes contained fragile mirrors and he said this was fine.

It is absolute madness that they can now say they have lost both 20kg boxes and are not prepared to compensate me for them. With a £500 loss I am not at all happy. DHL do better!!!

Attempted delivery was a lie and re-scheduled delivery never happened

Waiting in for a package for my son. Got a one hour estimated delivery time. Well over an hour past the later time I tried tracking to see the driver was still 6 stops away. Two minutes later the tracking advised that delivery had been attempted. It had not - the buzzer, which is very loud, did not go, nor, in case he had gained access to the complex without buzzing, was there a knock at the door, or a card left. The photo showing the attempt was simply a lot of red background with some light at the top. Re-scheduled now for Monday (yesterday) and complaint lodged. Was supposed to receive a response to complaint within 3 working days, but of course no response. Waited in all day yesterday and again no delivery. This is a birthday present now very overdue. I will always check now how items are delivered and will boycott any firms using this rubbish company.

Delivery Drivers make false entries against delivery records

The onset of Covid has been a godsend for delivery companies. No longer does the driver have to contact the recipient they just dump the parcel on the doorstep and take a picture. This has now been extended to not even bothering to ring the bell. Any passer by could nip in and steal the parcel if it is light enough.

I am 80 years old and today had a 2 x 25kgs sacks of bird food delivered. I had my little trolley behind my back gate ready for him to drop them on to it. Needless to say he never even bothered to ring the bell just dumped them on the front doorstep took a photo and disappeared. I almost fell over them when I went to go out of the door.

According to the DHL website tracking page he handed them over to me. He even used my name on the tracking page as the recipient. This driver never made contact with me and did not attempt to ring my bell. He never saw me or spoke to me. His record entry is false.
What happened to honesty?

this company has to go down as the most useless and incompetent delivery company. stayed home the whole day only for me to be told at 6pm that delivery had been cancelled to the next day.whole day was messed up. such useless bunch

Will not be ordering from any company that uses DHL again!! Two parcels in the last two weeks that haven’t turned up when they should have done-one not so important but the other a box full of meat which is to feed my family for the month! Dreading what it will be like if it does turn up! 🤮 Such bad customer service

What a Company! Steer Clear!

What a Company! Customer Service...that has NO facility to actually speak to a Human Being! I challenge anyone to get past the automated option responses, only then to find (after exhausting all options) that the problem you've got just doesn't have an option that allows you to actually speak to someone. My own story started by getting a text from DHL giving a proposed delivery time for an item I'd ordered online. I tried to reply to the text, only to find I couldn't as "Invalid Recipient" came up on my mobile 'phone. I then went online to click on the Track my Delivery facility only to find that the item had left their depot. I tried to find where I could get a message to the driver, only to find NOTHING! Not even an option! I then decided to leave a complaint on the website. I got an immediate receipt of my action to complain, only to read that it will be looked at within THREE days! If only I could leave a review of ZERO. Perhaps Trustpilot could look to offer that option?

Like so many others reviews this company can't be relied upon to deliver parcels despite texts giving dates and time when to expect delivery. Their false excuses why they failed to deliver my parcel is unbelievable from nobody in to cannot find address. It's a good job I don't rely on them to deliver my medication.

DHL driver - ring our doorbell - we won't bite!

This is my second awful experience with DHL of late.

One time my DHL parcel- pre-Xmas, was left outside my door, the driver did not even bother to ring my doorbell to check I was in. Anyone could've taken my package as it was in plain site of a busy street. I just happened to see the email saying it was delivered. I went to check my doorbell was working - it definitely was working.

Today I was in literally waiting for the DHL guy, looking at my email and texts. Nobody could have rang my doorbell - yet a few minutes after I checked, I got a text saying that somebody had tried to deliver and missed me – impossible! So again, I went to check my doorbell and it's definitely working.

After getting so many regular texts and emails to notify me of the deliveries mentioned above – I expect the DHL driver to ring the doorbell and check I'm in. This is just plain rude.

Ring the doorbell - we won't bite!

I really hope DHL improves their service in the future! It's so stressful.

WORSIEST DELIVERY COMPANY EVER ALL AROUND

Very rare putting coments, but dhlparcel is Worsest service and practice ever I had.been already third time when driver didnt bother even to come collect parcel.when calling they saying been already but nobody was.previously was aswell that they not turning up and coming after few days ,saying came to collect parcel, when already sent with another provider.they just coming when they want not what is stating that will come next day to pick it up.never will use them again, and will say to all my friends who posting parcels, not to use dhlparcel if they dont want to loose customers.

What happens to the former excellent DHL?

What happens to the former excellent DHL? They wanted to collect my parcel today, latest 6pm. Nothing. To be clear: I don't criticise delays. They always can happen. Royal Mail's strikes mean higher volume of parcels and more customers for the laughing competitors. So delays are acceptable. However, I don't accept missing communication. DHL, you must send us customers a SMS about delays. Not good!

2 Problems this week with DHL.
States on web site that my 1st parcel was delivered & signed for, yet nothing was received or signed for by myself. it was delivered to my neighbours house but she wasn't in so how could someone have signed for it? They didn't even sign my correct surname. The parcel was so heavy which i expected i had to wait for someone to help me bring it round to the RIGHT address.
Also was expecting another parcel today, email states estimated delivery between 4.30pm/5.30pm yet nothing arrived, it seams to have been taken back to there depot for some reason?
Your company is giving the sellers a bad reparation when they state next day delivery & buyers do not receive there items for days after.
Think you need to review your policy's on delivery, "We provide the cheapest next day delivery prices in the UK" NOT TRUE!

Try to avoid DHL

I’ve been waiting for a parcel at home all day. The driver never turned up, but I received notification that my order was delivered to some random address in my street. The seller promised redelivery for next due to the parcel weight 72kg. Next day I was waited all day again but no DHL delivery driver. I contacted DHL customer service twice via messenger. I received no reply, no customer service, absolutely nothing. Finally I had to carry from the wrong address to my address this heavy parcel. This so called company seems to be full of incompetent people. Avoid them!!!

Delivered to wrong address, unable to resolve!

Ordered an electronic product from small firm in England. It didn't arrive after a week so contacted firm who said that the parcel had been delivered... but to a wrong address. DHL were unable to collect and redilver. Company kindly sent replacement product saying that DHL have had a 'bad time of it lately'.

It's sad that DHL's substandard management and service is not only affecting customers but is creating more work and costs for small businesses.

P--S POOR SERVICE

Should have had a delivery on 28th October. It still has not been delivered (2/11/22)
You can't access their tracking service, you can't speak to a human and there has not been any communication from them re my very late delivery.
Poor, poor service which has also reflected very badly on the company from which I have bought the goods from

Cowboys, avoid at all costs!

Over the weekend, they "updated" the software which meant tracking was no longer working. Impossible to get through on the telephone, only automated service available, no human. Delivery due Mon 31/11. The driver delivered a day late (despite it having been in the warehouse for 3 days) TO THE WRONG ADDRESS!!! Not only that, the parcel was left outside the house in a neighbouring street in the rain when the instruction was not to leave on a doorstep. It was only when the neighbour phoned me (telephone number on front for all to see) that I discovered the error. Still impossible to contact a call centre, so real world experience left on here. Avoid at all costs, they make Yodel (or whatever they're called this week) look like professionals.

Terrible first experience

I had to cancel my appointment to wait all day for my parcel, only to receive a message that my parcel could not be delivered because I could not be accessed. Took me 46 minutes to get customer care who could not do anything, could not reschedule for a convenient date and would not respond to my query as to where the parcel was so I could go collect myself. This has to be the worst organisation in all of the UK.
