I had a 17-kg microwave from John Lewis delivered today.
DHL said they would e-mail me when I was the next for delivery.
That didn't happen.
They said they would ring the bell, step back and photograph the parcel.

They sent another e-mail saying that I had accepted the parcel.
I never saw them.
The van and driver was disappearing down the road before I got to the door.
The microwave costing £270 had just been dumped in the porch.
So DHL are liars and cheats.

Staying in a holiday rental for a special occasion DHL failed to deliver 2 parcels from 2 different suppliers. It wasn’t a remote location - many other parcels were received. Redirecting/customer service/wait times —EVERYTHING about their service was terrible.
Unaccountable firm
I have a parcel sent from overseas, arrived in UK 2 Dec 2021, supposed to be delivered by DHL on 6 Dec 2021. But it hasn't been delivered till now, after 76 days. Tried to contact DHL over phone 3 times, asked sender to raise a claim and filed escalation but no result.

TLDR;
Firstly, there's nothing express of them. not just very poor customer support, also absolutely zero accountability.
if DHL express UK is the last option available, i'd still avoid. probably better off throwing the parcel in to the sea then hoping it delivers ( or praying if that works ) .

The shipment 51083401891805 ( a document ) was estimated to be delivered with in 4 days approximately to aboard, took 6 weeks from the time of dropping off to the writing this review but, hasn't even made out of the country.
Dropped off at the local depot, paid online then was told that the is being held as they require the consignees full name. which wasn't a requirement at the time of placing the order online. this was on 20th Dec.
So I gave all the requested information on the following day then was told the parcel will be exported, which apparently never happened.
after repeated follow up emails, chasing the support team via Twitter, DHL express UK advised at first the shipment is mis-routed, then lost and eventually found. this was by 17th Jan.
I asked them to return the item to me because i've had enough of this continuous s**t show by then.
now i'm told the parcel is lost again. How ridiculous!!

to be very clear, you've lost my parcel whilst still in the UK, which I dropped off myself at the depot - I dont care how many parcels you ship daily or how complex your job is. I paid for a service you failed to deliver!
we spend months preparing the documents which were very time sensitive.
Also, I have been offered to make a loss claim but in this case the loss is irreplaceable.
By far the worse courier in the UK I've experienced. Needless to say, would not recommend.
DHL issue with recursive collection point failed deliveries and no fall back
DHL makes a mistake presenting the collection points and it turns out the collection point is closing way earlier therefore everytime an attempt happens it can't deliver. (I still received emails about with the wrong closing hours). After a long way finding the right number and tired of automated calls, I managed to talk to someone, which couldn't change to another collection point or deliver back to the original address. Not user friendly at all. The only way to break that cycle is to make a 40min drive each way.
And I also wasted £30 in phone calls...
The parcel should come to us, not us to the parcel. That's the whole point of being a parcel!
These companies without knowing the client nor try to help the client are not required in the 21st century.

Absolute rubbish
1st day delivery was due told that it was delayed.
2nd day it was due between 1648 and 1748. Didn't arrive and tracking info showed it as returned to depot 30+ miles away at 1743, no delivery attempt. The tracking info for 2nd day has been deleted.
3rd day, (10/02/2022) told delivery 1312 to 1412, delivered to wrong address. Thrown over neighbours garden gate onto wet grass.

Looks like I've had the same problems as the majority of others. Delivery was advised as Thursday 03.02.22. Great we thought, went on their website to have it delivered to our neighbour, a barber who is there all day. None of the rearrange delivery options worked, all had errors so we thought they would deliver to the barber anyway. In their wisdom, they decided to deliver today, a day early between 16:08-17:08. I was home from shortly before 16:00 and no delivery was attempted to our house and having asked Simon, the barber, no-one tried to deliver to him either but the dreaded card was through our door. Tried the rearrange delivery options again on the website but still not working. Phoned and after over half an hour finally got through to someone. They will redeliver tomorrow and deliver to the barber if we aren't home, which we won't be. Will be keeping my fingers crossed. The fact that they haven't responded to reviews in over a year says a lot about them, it proves that they really don't care.
Zero Stars - DHL Useless
Zero Stars. Two consecutive days two consecutive texts and emails to tell me my parcel is being delivered today. Both times parcels returned to depot. Even called in the middle of the 2nd day as it was meant to be delivered in the afternoon but by 11:30 was back at the depot.
Was assured their tracking system was wrong and it was out for delivery….. rubbish called again in the afternoon was told it was at the depot.
Total joke. Never using a firm which uses DHL….was told they have a handful of depots that they have major issues with and I am unlucky enough to be served by one of their problem depots. Joke….

Was told package was getting delivered today, made arrangements to make sure I’d be home now its changed to Monday. Parcel has been at my local depot since 0715 this morning. Not a patch on competitors like DPD.

Absolutely diabolical service!!! Just after Christmas my parcel was on its way, then it wasn’t, then it was again and then it all went silent!! I emailed them, tweeted them to no avail so contacted the company my parcel was sent from. The company tried to track down the order with DHL but drew a blank and therefore sent a replacement of the goods ordered. Lo and behold both orders turned up on the same day. I contacted the company to ask what they would like me to do with the additional parcel and they advised that DHL would collect on Thursday and I should expect them between 9 and 5. I waited in but no appearance from DHL - they rocked up on Friday and luckily someone was in. Absolutely terrible customer service (non existent) - other delivery services have got it sorted so why can’t DHL ?

What shocking service, apparently I signed for my parcel which was left in a nearby car park and DHL don't seem to give a toss! I tried all the online contact methods to complain but not one of them was answered. I just spoke to the unit next door and he had exactly the same ie parcel left overnight in the car park. What is wrong with you people? 😖
Another delivery fail by DHL
Another delivery fail by DHL. I paid extra for promised next day delivery. I got an acknowledgement - from DHL, confirming delivery 18/01/2022. No delivery made, no update until 7.06am 19/01/2022, which still said delivery 18/01/2022! Using the tracking link then indicates delivery 20/01/2022. This unfortunately is not the first time and that level of failure to honour committments is appalling. Mr Peter Stanley Fuller - you should be ashamed of the consistent failures of the company which you head to meet what it promises. the sooner service users vote with their feet and stop using DHL and the sooner it is out of business, the better.

The promised delivery attempt #2 of 20/01/2022 came and went. Deafening silence from DHL. If I could give minus stars, I would.

My parcel is late. What a surprise! It went on the truck at 10.20, was supposed to be with me by 4.55, it's 20.02 at the moment. These incompetents get worse every year, and we all know it's true. I wished that companies would not use DHL, but I don't have a choice. My parcel was from Wayfair.co.uk, which had already screwed up my delivery by 14 days! So no surprise that DHL is carrying on with that awful tradition.
RUBBISH COURIER COMPANY THAT LOSES PARECELS

DHL HAVE 'LOST' MY PARCEL.
On 28 December I arranged, via Pargel2go, for DHL to collect a parcel - which contained Christmas gifts I had been given - from Staffordshire and deliver it to my home in Warwick. Accordingly, I checked it in at a pick up shop location, from where it was collected according to the shop owner (he has courier parcels picked up on a daily basis).
It then disappeared. Initially, DHL's useless tracking system showed it as delivery due on 30 Dec, then 2nd/3rd/4th/5th Jan. Eventually I managed to talk to their customer services dept, who promised to look into it. Despite 2 more calls, plus 2 when I could only get an automated reply, It was decided that the courier had not collected it. After combing the internet for a complaints phone number, I managed to talk to yet another waste of space, who told me that the courier tried to pick it up on Jan 5 but there was no parcel waiting (no surprise, as it had been collected several days before, per the shop owner). They then refused to do anything else to trace it. These people, in my experience, are garbage and shouldn't be allowed to operate as couriers. All they had to do was deliver one parcel from one county to a neighbouring county. A 2-legged donkey would have been more efficient. That a parcel can go astray and that DHL is neither able to find it nor apparently be concerned at their incompetence in this matter is indicative of contempt and indifference to their customers. I will never use this idiot company again - I hope that potential customers might reflect on DHL's gross inability to perform the service they claim to provide in this instance before deciding whether to trust their belongings to DHL.
'Deliveries unsuccesful' when I was in
My brother sent me a parcel from abroad, with tracking. They say they have tried 3 times to deliver - but I've been in on two of the occasions at the time they say they came and there is no record of their being here. I would go to the depot which isn't too far away, but since they never left a note/card, I'm not sure they would give the parcel to me (and I don't even know it's there).
Cancelled order refused 3 times and now confirmed as delivered!
I cancelled an order, refused a DHLdelivery and got a refund lfrom Dunelm more than a week ago. Since then DHL have tried to deliver it to me again twice and I have refused it both times. On the 3rd dellivery I took a marker pen and deleted my address on the label and wrote REFUSED 3 TIMES on the box. I am never going to order an item online for delivery by DHL again.
I subsequently got a text from DHL/Dunelm confirming that the item was delivered to me which is ridiculous. Is this a cunning stunt to make me pay for something I don't want?

Beware of this company they are incompetent liars and run by a bunch of rude, unhelpful clowns who don't care about delivering parcels to the people of who pay for them. Basically I bought something from Dunelm and it was meant to delivered by DHL. I didn't have much faith in the delivery company as Id had a very bad experience a few months before with them. Dunelm wouldn't change the delivery company. On both occasions DHL apparently tried to deliver my parcel to my address but I apparently wasn't in. This is a lie!!! I waited in for my parcels all day long but they never turn't up. They sent an email saying we tried to deliver but you weren't in.
I asked them for proof that they had attempted to deliver to by address maybe a photograph of my door or a calling card but no I was told they don't do that. So basically they don't even bother to deliver your item then lie to you and feed you excuses about whats acutely happened. My Ring door bell is also proof that DHL never even attempted to deliver to my house. I also gave my mobile number for them to ring incase of any problems, but did they ring of course not. I phoned DHL and waited for quite some time before anyone answered the phone. When speaking to the women about my missing parcel she couldn't care less and kept talking over me and telling me that they had tried to deliver to my address. When I said to her I had proof that no-one had even turn't up she just dismissed me and said "Well I don't know what happened we will send it out again in a few days." She wasn't apologetic or even remotely bothered about finding my missing order and keep saying "I cant hear you the line is very bad." I believe she was saying that just so she could cut off the call at any moment.
I am now waiting for DHL to resend my parcel, and to be perfectly honest I don't have much faith that its even going to get to me. So I'm sure I will have a long drawn out process to get what I paid for over a week ago.
My advise would be to steer clear of this ridiculous company, I know that I will never be using this company or ordering from a company that uses their services.
Also their website is useless and any tracking updates are non-existent.
