Do not join this gym. I have not had access to their gym in months but I am still expected to pay the full membership fee every four weeks. It is impossible to get in touch with customer service and now they have even blocked my email adress after I asked them to confirm the date by which the membership stops. Please don't make the same mistake and joint this gym.
This used to be a good gym six years ago, but the focus has shifted quickly to making money instead of delivering excellent service. Their locations are often overcrowded and poorly cleaned. Additionally, they just announced that they would remove the group lessons and sauna from their memberships without a clear explanation. Since this is a clear breach of contract, I recommend people cancel their membership and find another gym that values happy customers over profit.
Was okay in trainmore ladies West, until they cancelled classes. I was told I could refund my membership because of this.
Emailed the ‘klantenservice’ that never replies. Eventually confirmed I would not be charged anymore however I am still being charged 4 months after quitting that gym.
The contract is a trap, I signed a two years membership, my contract ended last June and Trainmore keep charging me the membership till now under the allegation should be my responsibility to informed them my desire to stop. They told me it’s a normal practice in Netherlands, if it’s true, someone should do something about it. I highly recommend to read really carefully the contract there before you sign if you still have an interest to have busyness with this company. Good luck!
Worst experience ever. I canceled my membership after a year when my contract expired and got an email that its canceled. I returned my key aswell. Today I see my bank statement and trainmore has charged me again for a month?! Never ever trust those scammers with your money.
At first, it looks like a nice gym, slightly pricey, but worth it. The problems come when you want to cancel your membership.
I had a 3-month long membership. Coming towards its end, I was called several times by Trainmore, pushing me to extend the membership. I told them several times that I wanted to extend my membership online, and not through the phone, but they said it was not possible to do it online, the only way to do it was through the phone. So I did that, but I think that instead of the 3-month membership, the employee just gave me a 1-year membership, because well after the three months, they are still deducting money from my account. I have tried to reach out to them multiple time with NO ANSWER WHATSOEVER. Apparently there is no phone number, no customer service via the phone, which is interesting knowing that they called me at least 10 times to renew my membership.
Be very careful with them, once they have your bank details, they just won't stop deducting.
Whoever wants to make a membership in TrainMore just read the other reviews here and in Google maps,
Don’t do others mistakes.
TrainMore just doesn’t care about its customers.
I did a membership at the Amstelveenseweg gym 3 months ago, and since the beginning the air conditioning/ventilation didn’t work, people sweat like crazy, it gets to a point where it is hard to breathe and it feels like sauna.
No one from the management or the customer service cares about it, and obviously its impossible to cancel my membership because It’s an annual membership, no way out this nightmare.
This is the worst gym in Amsterdam, even the low cost gyms like Basic-Fit are better and treat customers better.
I just had enough.
I've been a member for 4 years and it's just been very sad to see how the quality of the gym has kept on decreasing while their prices just increased.
The gym has become impossible to train in. It's always ridiculously busy; even during off-peak hours.
It's dirty most of the time and the lower floor always has a sewer smell.
The number of group lessons has only decreased over the years, with the club no longer offering boxing lessons and having decreased the quality of the trainers.
Furthermore, the staff behind the desk is more interested in playing with their phones than in helping members.
Finally, they suddenly decided to increase their price by nonetheless than 62%. Their customer service team offered me a different rate because I was a 'valued member' who supported the club during the corona pandemic. Two weeks after they told me that the deal they had offered me was a mistake and that I had to pay the full increased fee.
Logically I've had enough so I've canceled my membership.
Great gym. All of the brand new equipment you could ask. Plenty of space and not not crowded. Great vibe.
Train more costumer service does not reply a cancel request. They say if you move more than 10Kilometers from your subscribed gym they can cancel the contract but I sent them the proof of moving and they don't reply.
Trainmore sells 'quarterly' memberships, but they are actually 12 weeks, so a lot of customers are too late with cancellation. If you don't cancel in time they enroll you in their most expensive plan, while this is nowhere to be found in the terms and conditions.. They don't have ANY customer service line to call. The employees are not allowed to contact the management. Save yourself the money and go to a decent gym instead of these scammers!
WARNING: DONT GO HERE UNJUST BUSINESS PRACTICES AND SHADY MONEY GRAB TACTICS.
Nothing new was conned into getting a subscribtion here, of course including the scammy extra's. And, like the rest here, got billed through the lockdown. Whilst we were i lockdown there was a discount action, very handy for them with the added costs of the extra's i didnt want i amounted to about the same as normal fees.... so thinking i had canceled this i thought i was at least sponosring the gym. They know this is unfair en sneaky, since the general terms include specified terms for the extra's, probably because poor souls of the past tried to get their money back.
Just go to a cheaper alternative or do it at home, and buy yourself something nice in stead of giving these sh**heads your hard earned money.
I hate this place. Punching bags are too light, the price is too high, the poeple dont make me feel at home.
Its an overpriced corporate company thats trying to be a hip club
This is the most shady company in nl, not only gym, they charged me when the gym was closed during quarentine for months, they added other charges like flavored water.. to my subscription without telling me, and they still charged me after i canceled my contract and told me that they didn't receive my email, I don't know how is it possible for a scam company like this to exist in a country like the netherlands
Avoid TrainMore at any costs!!! I had 2 years contract with them. They have the worst customer service ever - deceiving and misleading!
Horrible, and even worse customer service. Cancelled my membership they didn't process it right and then you are f*cked. They keep the membership active for a year and then hand you a bill of a couple of hundred euros. And when you contact their customer service about it they just say in the Terms and Conditions it says you need to fill in the online form while I did that and they haven't processed it right. No room for thinking together and coming with a solution. horrible!
Charge people during corona while not open?? Talking to you like they are the inland revenue service when collecting their money, absurd never again in my life what a bad example for entrepreneurship in this day and age!
Horrible gym, terrible customer service. Predatory behaiviour. Will take ur money and not provide services in return. Dont go here
I am having a terrible time with them. I want an early cancellation and they ignore my claim. Time passes by and I have to keep paying for something I am not using. Do not come to this gym, they are scammers. Even if you present proof of moving out from the Netherlands they will write saying that you owe money and they will threaten you with bailiff actions. I have never experienced this before, it's a nightmare!
