Opaque policy

Despite the staff of the gym are friendly, their policy is unfortunately not transparent and not good for their own marketing (said by the staff). After I joined the gym, they increased my fee from 43 euros to 51 euros per month. I finally couldn't afford it and decided to cancel it three months after the rise. I *thought* and canceled it since I have already returned the gym tag and they waved me goodbye nicely. Two months later, I realized they are still deducting money from me, and I realized that the contract is only ending after 5 months, which is 4 months longer than my original contract. I have been paying even without having access to the gym! I confirmed with them, and they said if I disagree with the increase, I had to cancel it within a month, and there is nothing they can do. This a-month-deadline is not mentioned at all in the email that notified me about the price increase, and it came from nowhere. My contract is also postponed without being informed.
I have written to them about this, and if they give me the same answer, I will file a report to ACM.

Great gym!

Great gym! I really like the calm atmosphere there, and the people are friendly. It has everything I need to do a good session, and I love the one-floor setup. I recommend this gym!

Trainmore only cares about getting as many members as possible

Trainmore only cares about getting as many new members as possible. Once you are a member you are not of any interest to them any more. I am a Red Label member which according to their promotion means it is 'members-only'. So for example black label members can not train there. However, they do offer timeslots to class pass visitors. The gym is already very crowded, despite Red Label having a 'member stop', which is completely opaque, and new members are still accepted every week. When confronting them about the class pass offering, they come with conflicting statements acknowledging the red label is members-only but that they do indeed allow "class pass visitors".
This whole company and this gym in particular is just 1 big disrespect to their paying customers. I am definitely leaving this gym as soon as I can and never returning

BEWARE before you sign yourself away

I moved but because another trainmore gym was a certain amount of kilometres away from me, i could not terminate the contract. the trainmore in my previous home was wonderful, but this trainmore was nothing like it. Always busy, materials and machines always broken or really flimsy. this made going there even more hard to do, not even speaking about the inexistent parking space. I missed a lot of machines that i did have in Utrecht. ended up ahving to pay 300 euros for a gym that i didnt even enjoy going to. Customer services doesnt care. The girl Madelief that helped me was nice though. But beware before you sign your soul away to this company

Worst gym experience ever.

Worst gym experience ever.
Customer service is non-existent — the live chat is just a bot, there’s no phone number, and it takes over a month to get a response through their contact form. With endless renovations causing chaos, I decided to cancel my membership early.

They approved my cancellation but now demand I repay discounts, suddenly claiming I owe €246. They even threatened to send this to incasso without giving me 14 days to pay, which is required by law.

They argue that Article 5.4 of their terms allows them to reclaim promotions. However, this article only mentions “free months” in the context of early termination, not additional discounts. This seems like an intentional move to mislead customers. As per established principles of contract law, ambiguities should be interpreted against the party that drafted the contract.

I’ve pointed this out multiple times, even after consulting a lawyer, but TrainMore refuses to listen. I am prepared to take legal action to stop this harassment. Their practices are unfair and deceptive — avoid this gym at all costs.

The company is engaged in deception

The company is engaged in deception. I tried to cancel my membership 5 times within the established deadlines - they did not respond to me, they only sent me "if we do not respond to you within 5 days, write again." But they still didn't respond. But they're still trying to debit the money. I highly recommend not using this gym. Any other one will be better.

Disrespectful and unprofessional fraudster

I stayed in Amsterdam just for a month and paid 121 euro for FLEX membership (71 euro monthly rate + 50 euro membership fee). The club was not bad, I`d give 3 stars for the club and the equipment.

The problems were only on the Customer support side, which turned to be below any healthy expectations.

1) There was an error in my email address during the registration and that`s why my APP to sign up for group classes didn`t work. This couldn`t be fixed by the manager in the club, though I spent around 25 min with him. The manager sent a request to their Support, which has never replied him. I also wrote a message myself and it took 6 days to get a response. 6 DAYS! Hard to imaging what kind of lazy people are working there.

2) As far as I was there just for 1 month, 1 cancelled the FLEX membership via the Support team 1 week in advance, as per instructions from the club manager, but in response I received an email that they will CHARGE ME ADDITIONAL MONEY and I HAVE TO SEND THE THE PROOF of my RELOCATION. Then I had to spend more time reaching out the support regarding this fraudulent messages. It took 10 DAYS to get a reply, that actually they decided to CHARGE me additional 3 days just because they want so, without any explanation. Moreover, part about sending the proof of relocation is a standard email and that shouldn`t concern me.

So, I can surely say this company is a disrespectful and unprofessional fraudster and their service is below any normal expectations. Would never recommend travellers to join this club.

The people working there are nice and…

The people working there are nice and the machines are ok but, sometimes there are no paper to clean the machines or the machine for drinks sometimes is not filled or not working.

The gym is overpriced and this year it increased too much. I think for this type of price the gym should be of high end service and the best of the best. But unfortunately it’s not.

Really poor customer service

The customer service takes 5-10 days to respond to inquiries, so it's almost impossible to solve anything with them.

I've also asked them repeatedly physically in the gym and via their contact form, from when I can renew my contract exactly. Nobody has an answer to this, all they said three times is "come back somewhere near the end of your contract". How can you not even know when customers can renew their contract? Unbelievable. I was asking because I wanted to make use of their promotion before it would end.

There's also no way to access an account or app in which you can see the end date of your contract or make any changes. Changes have to be made through their "change contract form" and you literally cannot even select an option about what to change so they will just guess that you will renew your contract.

The machine for free protein shakes is also broken 30% of the time which is rather annoying when you're planning to have a shake before your workout. And also around 22:00 at night they close the machine, even though the gym is open till 23:00.

I appreciate the great equipment of the gym but a gym is not just about equipment.

Brilliant gym and great customer…

Brilliant gym and great customer service.

I was visiting Amsterdam from Scotland and didn’t want to miss a session.

The staff were so welcoming and sorted me out with a free day pass which was amazing! The equipment was fantastic, a lot of variety couldn’t ask for more.

Would definitely recommend this gym!

I Believe the adress of this TM was WETERINGSCHANS 134.

Train more op de singel is een mooie…

Train More op de Singel is a great gym, but unfortunately, I can't say the same about the staff at the front desk. I've had the unfortunate experience twice of being treated very curtly and with an attitude of "you're being a bother." This was my very first time at a gym, and arrogance seems to be the prevailing tone here.

poor customer help

It is a bussiness first. When I started it was nice, normal amount of people, free machines and not so many people starring. Over the last year they tried to attract more and more people, so much it was getting impossible to plan any workout, because almost all machines were occupied almost all the time i went. The smell somtimes was accordingly. It was too much so I tried to leave nicely. But..They did not cancel my sub after i submitted the cancellation form twice, asked for a confirmation of cancellation at the gym and talked about it with their online support, i brought in the tag and stopped going... and they Still billed me for another month after all that and still did not cancel my sub. It all ended in having to again seek custumer support(which is not available by phone and people on location can not help either) and ask for my money back, which took them another week

Way overpriced, not taken care of, false information, not educated staff

Way overpriced. Cost the same as other red labels, but doesn't offer any classes and there are no personal trainers. I was promised a one-hour free with a personal trainer and a month free in order to sign up. They never provided any. They offered me to travel to another location (2+ hours by train, 50 euros for train?!) to receive personal trainer after complaining. I cancelled my membership 2 weeks ago due to move (luckily!!) and was just charged for the next month and never heard back. People don't remove their weights from the machines and it's dirty. Terrible, terrible gym.
