No Service Again!

Like everyone else this will be our third
day without any transponder tv. We had problems last year. Tried other providers but our tv wasn't compatible with them. So we did renew our subscription with Transponder but were asked to do this via Eurotelly a different company which was odd. I have emailed support at Transponder and Eurotelly but no response. I would prefer to give no stars but you cannot place a review on here without a rating. Terrible service. 10th February update: Multiple emails to Transponder & Eurotelly: no response. Given Eurotelly take my monthly payment I am seeking a provision of service from Eurotelly whilst Transponder their sister company is off line. Just a thought if anyone wants to try it as well. Good luck though!

Their domain has expired I highly…

Their domain has expired I highly recommend you can any direct debits with the bank and reclaim any recent payments from your bank. the "whois" domain website shows their web domain subscription expired 24 hours ago. If they had had a backup they would have easily managed to transfer all files/code to another domain and inform through twitter etc. Goodluck!

Ive loved Transponder for several years…

Ive loved Transponder for several years now but, since yesterday I havent been able to access it. No way to contact them apart from via (non functioning) website. I got a bit suspicious when asked to pay for renewal vis some private account in Australia.... has it gone bankrupt & simply disappeared with our money??

Overall great but the last two days I haven’t been able to use it due to a gateway error, tried emailing them using the support@transponder .tv email address, was told to get a ticket and now nothing.

Rubbish

Rubbish. I paid for Gold membership in mid December so I could record lots of programmes. I found out quickly that this product has been "down" for a long time. It's still not working and no refund has been given between a standard membership and gold although I've asked for this. Something has gone seriously wrong with Transponder as even the payment method is weird now. Very sad about this as have been using this for years. Please get your act together!!!!

I am very disappointed

I am very disappointed. So unreliable. I tried to record so programmes over the last 4 days and nothing! According to their fbk page the server in the Ukraine is having problems. Not surprising considering the current issues over there. Come on Transponder TV time to move your server.

Former good service now dubious & unrelaible

This use to be a great service, until Russia invaded Ukraine... then it went down hill more and more...
- unreliable channels
- unreliable recordings
- missing recordings
- software errors
- unreliable mobile app
...and the most interesting, which indicates another coincidence concerning the illegal russian war on Ukraine, is that suddenly they have lost all creditcard payment functionality, which is the nail of death for an online subscription service.
I suddenly received a very dubious bill via PayPal, which I ignored.

Now, better paying a lot less for a stable VPN solution and having direct access to UK TV companies :-)

Now a terrible service - DO NOT Subscribe

Before the change of owners, TransponderTV was brilliant! I could watch live channels, record and playback programs and download programs. Now though the service is garbage. After they cancelled my subscription, I resubscribed at the Gold level, but cannot watch recordings on my other devices (I was able to before) and cannot download programs. Whenever I've communicated with the "We're Online" help, I always got the same answer: our engineers are working on the downloading issue (which I can no longer believe). About the only thing I can still do is watch live programs. I'm cancelling my subscription.

It just stopped working

It just stopped working. The site tells me my free trial has expired I never had a free trial I have been a gold member for over three years. Now I have no UK TV I cant resubscribe as it wont accept any of my details. What is going on Is it true what the others say about it going bust

I had an account for three years

I had an account for three years, it was great while it lasted. They cancelled my subscription and now they're asking me to sign up via a sketchy sister site (eurotelly) to continue my subscription. That's not even a real website, it's hosted on Google Sites! :( It was wonderful while it lasted but now it looks like it's gone forever.

"We are here to help out anytime"

"We are here to help out anytime" is what they claim on their website, yet they don't inform about changes or outages and they don't answer emails/ support tickets or the chat. It's just a terrible experience start to finish. I can't even cancel my subscription, because nothing is working. It's a total scam at this point!
Stay away from this "service" and don't waste any money on it.

Payment issues

I have used the site for years and was very happy with it - it all used to work very well. However, a couple of weeks ago, it suddenly stopped working due to 'payment processing issues' at their end. Today, the same thing happened - they said that my account had expired (no idea why - my payments had always been made automatically - for years!), no explanation for this was given, except that they couldn't process my payment because their system was 'broken'. When I contacted them, they said I had to upgrade and pay through their 'sister site' (Eurotelly). It all sounds very strange and suspicious. I am looking for an alternative. I don't trust them now. I also notice they have removed their Facebook page and have put up a new one. I suspect this is to remove complaints, but I don't know.

Alternative to Transponder?

Absolutely shocking "service"

Absolutely shocking "service"
Recordings never work, constant problems and very rude, inept customer support. Currently trying to cancel my subscription but it won't let me, it says to get in contact with the support team but they fobbed me off with an "I don't have authority to do that" message.
Shame because it used to work well before all the problems and conflicting excuses started.
