Used to be great but stopped working a…

Used to be great but stopped working a few days ago. I thought it was time to renew the annual subscription but it was impossible to pay. I contacted support that told me I can pay into the personal Pay Pal account of their managing director. The alarm bells started ringing and they obviously have problems. Shame as it worked well before.

I wouldn't recommend Transponder

I wouldn't recommend Transponder, it used to be very good, professional and quick to sort out problems. For weeks now recording any programs, any channel has been impossible. Emails fall on deaf ears. A post on fb containing nearly 300 complaints has been deleted and a message left yesterday on an earlier post has also 'disappeared '
I, and numerous others, will be looking for an alternative.

I love Transponder TV

I love Transponder TV. I keep up with shows like Taskmaster, Pointless, Question Team and lots of other Dave comedies. If you have an issues with a recording, send an email and they will fix it for you.

Are Transponder TV going out of business ?

Nothing has worked properly for three months; constant buffering, HD channels not available, faulty recordings - no sound and regular halts in the recordings, unable to download recordings and now "not compatible with quick time player" They have blamed the war in Ukraine, technical problems, system upgrades and "everything will be fixed in a few days". After three months, they are still using the same excuses and I am still counting their "few days"

Update at 15 October 2022 - Transponder TV has still NOT fixed their problems and still asking for a few more days !!!

My experience up to now is very positive- however This week I haven’t been able to watch anything recorded- told it was a technical fault their engineers were working on, then a message on the screen saying they are doing a major upgrade for security reasons- anyone know if/ when normal service will return?

Transponder TV used to be a good but now…….

Transponder TV used to be a good reliable provider but since 1st September I have had nothing but problems. Shows didn’t record or recorded without sound and now it seems that recorded shows can’t be downloaded. If this goes on. Uch longer I will be forced to switch providers.

Can't get on it today

Can't get on it today, all day. It was off for a while the other day as well. Can't reach the website at all for support. Nothing on the internet or Twitter. Time I stopped paying for this I think.

Problem in resubscribing to Transponder tv.

Whenever I'm oversea I sign up to Transponder tv. However, when I went to Italy in early July 2022 my attempt to renew my subscription was met with the message that Transponder tv was transiting its accounts system and could not take new accounts. They expected to have the situation resolved in seven to 14 days. Six weeks later nothing has changed, and I have been unable to contact Transponder tv to determine when normal service will resume.

FALSE ADVERTISING!

This service claims to offer "HD" channels. When viewing said channels, it does appear as though they are using the HD feeds of the channels (which is a good start), but the channels themselves absolutely did NOT look like they were in HD. I did an internal test of the HLS streams and all of their so called HD channels were actually in a resolution of 854x480!

This company is operating under completely false advertising, their HD channels are such poor quality and are actually in 480p, NOT HD! If you're looking for HD content and channels, do not use Transponder TV.

We have had lots of problems with this…

We have had lots of problems with this company every so often they cut us off saying bill not paid their excuse is always computer error the latest problem was yesterday cut us off saying payment due 13th of the month if you want this service upgrade to an higher price. my payment has always been paid on the 14th of the month so we will be looking for another firm.

Terrible 😡

I have been with this company for a couple of years. Recently they tried accessing my bank account on the wrong date with the wrong amount and the wrong code. I then spent an hour onto my bank because it “looked suspicious.”I was then cut off and shown an increased price to be reinstated. I have emailed the company but have received no response. So much for customer care. 😡

poor service, pitiful support.

a year after cancelling our subscription due to the fact we were sick and tired of the poor service and pitiful support, this company tried to take money from out account.
fortunately, our bank flagged it as suspect.. which i was!
we contacted their 'support' but don't expect an answer. they rarely answer, and if the do, are often either inept or rude, often both!

Love Transponder

Love Transponder! It lets us watch all the British channels at a low cost, and it has allowed my half-English children to stay in touch with their Englishness even though we live in Norway:) we used Filmon previously, but prefer Transponder (cheaper, more reliable). When i joined many years ago on a "bronze" plan, it cost £6.50 per month, including 10 hours recording, and they have not increased my monthly payment despite not offering this price to new customers anymore. i also appreciate that their customer service keeps us updated via Facebook as soon as there are any technical difficulties, and these tend to be rectified quickly too.

Horrendous customer service

Extremely uncaring poor customer service! Just pray that nothing goes wrong with the service because when it does, they do not compensate you. They are disorganized and, I repeat, do not care a damn about your loses. I am totally fed up.

So we are in our 2nd year with…

So we are in our 2nd year with Transponder, last few weeks have been terrible, they say they have sorted the problems, but hey ho we will have buffering, we can watch Expat TV with no buffering at all. I have put posts on FB, i have e mailed them asking for a refund, paid for 12 months, for 2nd year only into 5 months, and not getting reply. Be careful before committing to 12 month sign up, try 1 month first to see if working, loads of buffering when trying to watch a programme, nothing worse than a prog. buffering. All i get TV TRansponder chat, what devise u using, can u take a screen shot, they are absolutely rubbish. So today 19.11.2021 even though im getting a good reading PING ms

When it works

When it works, it's good. But too often it freezes or buffers. Very frustrating. Wish they'd get their act together and give us what we PAY for!

I have broadband and cast the stream…

I have broadband and cast the stream onto my TV. Other streaming services work perfectly however with Transponder the main channels work well but too many other channels cut off, buffer, etc. I am not even on the HD. Filmon HD channels stream perfectly so it's definitely Transponder. Customer support is poor. For basic channels Transponder is OK but not worth paying for.
