I spoke with Tony on the phone (telephone survey did not work). He was exceptionally patient, thorough, and helpful. He exceed my expectation except for the fact that I have found most of your online agents patient and thorough!!

Customer service is good! I called the number on the website and got a helpful person at the other end (not a complicated phone tree!).
I would like to see more information on the website e.g. for more complicated itineraries.

Quick and easy to get a quote and sign up for travel insurance. When you are spending over $10K for a trip, insurance is almost a must.

The day before our departure, which was on a weekend, I realized my child was not listed on the policy. Since customer service was closed, my only option was to send an email. My initial response indicated that the policy could be adjusted to include my child. However, over the next 10 days while we were already on our trip, I received multiple, conflicting responses—some representatives said the adjustment could be made, while others said it could not.After 10 days of back-and-forth emails, when most of our trip had already passed, Travelex finally informed me that they would not add my child because I had purchased the policy several months earlier. By that point, the decision was essentially meaningless. 

The entire purpose of purchasing travel insurance is to have peace of mind before and during your trip. Instead, I spent the majority of my vacation wondering whether my child had coverage while waiting for a definitive answer. If it takes 10 days to receive a final decision on a simple policy adjustment, it defeats the purpose of having travel insurance in the first place.At no point during the purchase process or in the policy documentation was it made clear that I needed to contact them immediately after purchasing the policy in order to receive the included child benefit. The policy simply states that one child is included, which reasonably led me to believe the coverage was automatic.

This experience was extremely disappointing. The inconsistent information provided by different representatives, along with the lack of transparency regarding the enrollment requirements for the included child coverage, left me with little confidence in Travelex's customer service. Because of this experience, I will not be purchasing travel insurance from Travelex again, nor will I be recommending them to family or friends. I primarily purchased travel insurance for medical coverage, and there are other providers that offer equal or better medical benefits while being much more transparent about their policy requirements and coverage rules. I would encourage others to compare their options carefully before choosing Travelex.

I found a package that had a good balance of offerings for a reasonable price. The agents who answered the phones were friendly and reliable. The website was OK overall, but it was easy to get lost when looking for the detailed documentation about benefits and to realize that there is a TravelMedGo plan, since the tabs distinguishing comprehensive, on-trip, and flight coverage -- nice options -- are below the comprehensive plans.
