I purchased a top notch policy from this group. The day before my departure my mother suffered a catastrophic injury which resulted in her death. There was no way I could travel. This company denied my claim siting a loophole. I will never use them again nor would I recommend them to any traveler.

a repeat buyer discount would be appreciated or a better annual program that is more like what is offered per trip with the standard policy.

Easy to buy insurance. A little expensive if you compare same kind of insurance from different companies.

Last year, we had a medical claim which was handled and paid by Travel Guard in less than two weeks.

I filed a claim under my Travel Guard insurance back in March and despite an indication that Travel Guard would aim to resolve within 10-15 days, it wasn't until three weeks later that we received a request for additional information, which we then provided. Following upload of those documents, of claim portal stated that "Upon initial review of your claim, your adjuster will contact you to share an initial assessment, clarify any documents required if warranted, and share his/her direct contact information. That never occurred. Instead a month plus after filing our additional documentation, on May 11th, we were informed that Travel Guard had printed a check for $200, which is far less that the amount of our claim and less than we paid for the policy. Upon a request for contact, our claims adjuster finally reached out only to provide a justification for the denial of our claim that is on its face completely incorrect. She then indicated that she would follow up with us instead of making us put in an appeal, but she never followed up with us. Upon calling Travel Guard claims, I get informed that she will contact me, but she never does. It honestly feels like we were scammed.

Easy to connect with an agent with a question about my policy before purchase. Friendly and efficient.

Your rep is knowledgeable and enthusiastic. I have placed three policies this year. I was asking about volume discount. She explained it well.

I am very disappointed with Travel Guard Insurance. I purchased travel insurance expecting protection if unforeseen circumstances affected my trip. However, when I had to cancel due to a work-related issue, my claim was denied because their policy does not cover my specific employment situation.

While the company may point to the policy terms, I found the coverage limitations disappointing and not as clear as I expected when I purchased the insurance. After paying for coverage, it was frustrating to discover that the reason I needed to cancel was excluded.

The claims process took time, and the outcome left me feeling that the policy did not provide the protection I thought I was buying. I encourage travelers to carefully review all exclusions before purchasing a policy to ensure their situation is actually covered.

Don’t give your hard earned money to this worthless insurance company.

The only time we had a loss we received a reimbursement immediately with no hassle.

I had called 2 times. The first time the representative was just OK, but the second time when I called the representative was extremely helpful. I can felt that the person on the other end of the phone really wants to help me.

A very bad experience—you're better off not buying the insurance, because you'll end up losing even more money than you've already committed.

Easy to sign up for a policy. Easy website to use. Great service when speaking to a representative

I had to cancel my flight due to work reasons and submitted ALL required documents to Travel Guard. It was never enough. They keep asking for more paperwork, moving the goalposts every time.

I’ve been dealing with this since May. I’m relocating in July to start my new job in August and I still haven’t seen my refund. I honestly don’t know what else they want from me.

This is absurd. They do everything possible NOT to pay you. Do not use this insurance! They are extremely restrictive, inflexible, and the customer service is a nightmare.

Save your money and avoid Travel Guard at all costs.

Tuve que cancelar mi vuelo por motivos de trabajo y envié a Travel Guard TODOS los documentos necesarios. Nunca fue suficiente. Siguen pidiendo más papeles, cambiando los requisitos cada vez.

Estoy con esto desde mayo. Me mudo en julio para mi relocación y empezar mi trabajo en agosto, y todavía no he recibido mi reembolso. De verdad no sé qué más quieren.

Esto es un absurdo. Hacen todo lo posible para NO pagarte. ¡No usen este seguro! Son extremadamente restrictivos, inflexibles, y el servicio al cliente es una pesadilla.

Ahorren su dinero y eviten Travel Guard a toda costa.

This Company will not pay you back even when it fits within the guidelines of thier policy. I got deployed and had to cancel my tip, i provided them with US army orders and a Colonel's signature on a Memo and they still denied my refun stating it wasnt in their policy. They had the audacity to send their policy to me that clearly states military deployments causing cancelation will be refunded. This company will be in a lawsuit upon return from my Deployment. Do not use this company!!!!

Overpriced
Paid for a hotel reservation with their insurance and realized that the website had changed my trip dates when I refreshed the page. So I had to cancel that reservation and book another. Literally did this within minutes and they would not refund me for the first reservation.
