When you pay £120 a night

When you pay £120 a night, you expect a toilet door that closes (sharing with family member) you also don’t expect the hair wash to be so watered down you cannot get a lather and then a shower that drips instead of flowing to try and rinse off the horrible stuff! Not good at all M4 Cardiff!

We stayed in TravelLodge Bath Waterside…

We stayed in TravelLodge Bath Waterside for our daughter’s graduation. The room smelled of urine and was overlooked by cars that park up to window. A car had broken down, so we had people standing by our window looking in for nearly two hours. Had to shut curtains in the end as people staring straight in and it a boiling hot day so curtains being shut made it unbearable. Complained when home as rushing around and did not have time to find someone on reception. Travel lodge don’t care. Offered a breakfast if I stay with them again! Don’t stay there! Awful hotel!

OVER BOOKING ONLINE ACCOMMODATIONS-…

OVER BOOKING ONLINE ACCOMMODATIONS- (4/5 adults per room) BUILDING INSURANCE?? Having booked and paid in full for accommodation at travel lodge in Norwich city centre Was disappointed to be told that our room was sold to someone else who had checked in earlier than us and no other accommodation was available due to it being graduation week mid July 2025. Was even more surprised to learn from the night receptionists that they had also turned away at least 40 other guests on the 15/07/2025… Unbelievable

Clean room ,the rest was horrible

Clean room ,the rest was horrible. There's no air conditioning but there was a pidley little fan. There were people hanging around the hotel so I walk up the steps and had to use the disabled ramp. At 3am some kids were banging on windows, shouting and then ran away laughing. They repeated this an hour later. Couldn't close my window to drown out their noise. Staff not friendly. Worst nights sleep EVER. On a plus, the room was tidy

Room 409 do not book ( Cheshire Oaks)

Room 409 at Cheshire Oaks Travellodge smells of sewage the hotel was full so could not change rooms, we where given some air fresher which helped a bit.
The room was lovely and clean but very shabby not worth the extra money.
We have been in touch with customers services and so far three messages all saying the same thing they need more information ( what more can we give them , we sent photos and a summary of what happened) requested a call but that's not going to happen.
So in short do your self a favour and don't book a Travellodge .

Stay away from Travel Lodge

Stayed at Travel Lodge, Thame for 2 nights which was booked at saver rate some months ago. Our first time of using Travel Lodge, and our last.
Having since read several poor reviews I was concerned about what we would find, but couldn’t cancel our reservation under the saver T&C’s. We were quickly checked in and given a room key (room 25). The reception area and corridors seemed clean and fairly recently decorated, as did our room. Previous reviews mentioned damp and mold smells, but we didn’t find this was the case. The room seemed clean but the bathroom looked tired and some grubbiness around drain in the bath/shower. We also found the duvet cover and sheet had some small blood staining and looked like it had already been slept in. I spoke to the young lady on reception who arranged for the bedding to be changed.
On approach to the hotel during early afternoon, a large rat walked along the footpath in front of us and disappeared into shrubbery by the front door. Yikes!
Whilst in our room, a stranger used a swipe key and walked in. He had been allocated our room within hour of us checking in. Unfortunately later that evening we then found we couldn’t get into our room as his key had overriden ours. By this time the reception desk was unmanned, so we had great difficulty rousing someone to come and reprogram our key so we could get in.
As an aside, the room was extremely hot, with no air-con. There was a fan, which moved the warm air around but sleeping was difficult. Also, not even a hair dryer.
All in all, a dismal experience and we will not be using Travel Lodge again.

Blackpool South Shore.

Blackpool South Shore.

Stayed here a few months ago, couldn't fault it.

However Stayed here this weekend 12th July 2025, definitely gone down in my estimation.

Room, very roomy, clean.
Breakfast. Omg, full of screaming children, tables very dirty. Floor full of discarded food.

Parents apparently could not control their children.
Disgusting show of affection from a Asian father to his younger daughter ( my assumption they were related).

Will not be staying there again

Things growing in bath not cleaned properly in many months

Stayed in the Travelodge Newmarket Street, Cambridge on 9 July 2025. Paid over £170 for a family room. What a mistake!!! Arrived late after long drive, family all tired. All I can say when I entered the bathroom was that it resembled a lab where they grow things in dishes to see how they multiply, spread and what harm they cause - and that was just the bath!! I had to spend over an hour and a half cleaning the place (scrubbing it) no way it had been properly cleaned in many months!!!! The dirt was thick like years of build up. The limescale too was like a stalagmite!!! Don’t start me on the plug holes and overflows, I might be physically sick!!! Complained - here’s £45 for not having the room cleaned properly for arrival!!! ‘For arrival’ it hadn’t been cleaned properly for months and months, so all the poor people who had stated before me had had the same disgusting bathroom. So they want me to pay over £130 to stay in a hovel and catch something of interest to the science community, disgraceful!!

Turned up to travel lodge Gainsborough…

Turned up to travel lodge Gainsborough next to the kfc ,we checked in and we went up for a shower then went to kfc for food only to get a phone call from the hotel accusing us of having cannabis in our room and spoken to in a very rude way.
I offered the manager to come and I would have emptied all my belongings from my case but she abruptly declined and left us in the street with no other accommodation and said it will take 7to10days for a refund.
I even offered for them to bring the police to search my property but it was obvious that we never fit in with there Clientele so they made up a false accusation.
In all the lodges I have stayed in and never had a problem.
I would seriously not think of using another travel lodge as long as I live.
How embarrassing 🤬

LDN Stratford NO AIR CONDITIONING

Was put on the 9th floor in blazing heat, with no Air conditioning in, not just my roo, but any of the rooms. It was like a sweatbox. They had provided a fan which just swirled hot air around the room. I had zero minutes sleep and spent most of the night in the bar downstairs where it was cooler. Avoid in the summer at all costs

Travellodge, Brighton Seafront

We stayed at Travellodge, Brighton, Seafront last Tuesday and Wednesday night (17th and 18th June 2025).
It was ideal for our annual reunion of 4 friends who met in 1963 at Chapter Secondary School in Strood, Kent.
We have all moved away from Strood, and converged here from Sherborne Dorset, Highcliffe Dorset, Tadley Hampshire and Faversham Kent.
After all these years we just need a good natter,
somewhere comfortable to sleep that was clean and convenient with a good breakfast. The staff at Travellodge were helpful, friendly and we were very grateful to them.

Misleading Booking System- Especially Unfair on Elderly Users

Really disappointed with Travelodge’s online booking system. My elderly parents recently tried to book a room and were caught out by what I can only describe as a deceptive flaw on the website.

If you don’t put in your dates straight away, the site jumps to the cheapest price available, usually for a completely different date. It makes you think you’re getting a good deal, but it’s not for the dates you need. By the time my parents realised the mistake, it was already booked.

When I contacted the Travelodge in Birmingham directly, the staff there told me it’s a common issue, so Travelodge clearly knows about this, but hasn’t fixed it. That’s not acceptable.

Even worse, to try and correct the booking, we were told to call a premium rate number, meaning my parents had to pay more money just to fix something that wasn’t their fault. How is that fair?

Travelodge needs to seriously look at how this system works, especially when it’s elderly or less tech-savvy customers being caught out. Please fix it, and stop charging people to sort out your mistakes.

£10 Charge to add an extra night

I originally booked a night at colwyn bay. Before we left we decided to add another night (we did not cancel or amend our original night).
Thus giving travel lodge an extra £67. For this privilege travelodge charged me an extra £10
They came back with the usual terms and conditions story.
Just because it's there doesn't mean it's right.

Making out a customer is lying! They have proof shoddy at best avoid

Sadly one star for the travel lodge LONDON RAYNES PARK
let me begin so firstly I’d like to thank the staff Jack and Dan at the reception very helpful and moved my room as I have a poorly knee I couldn’t walk to far! The rooms were clean enough plenty of tea and coffee and parking on site it wasn’t the worst travelodge I’ve stayed in,
But when it came to my evening meal which wasn’t much to choose from after a long day travelling or getting in from work.
It was ruined by getting a multi can of Pepsi which cost £3.59 now if I were to receive a glass of Pepsi I wouldn’t be writing this now as I’d have been none the wiser or cared SO MONEY isn’t the issue here it’s the fact this can clearly stated it’s not to be sold separately and this company are clearly making a lot of money from customers. I have taken picture of the can and evidence of the receipt as proof timeline and date also show I couldn’t have changed this! The manager when I tried to raise the issue and offered evidence has brushed my complaint off and basically called me a liar as apparently the team have sent some picture of normal priced cans off course they would! Didn’t ask for my evidence though? Strange
This has angered me more I would have accepted a sorry this won’t happen again and we will make sure the hotel know this! not the reply I was sent which quite frankly was rude! I have nothing to gain for lying it’s £3.59 but when your company is making £86 profit at least on every multi pack this mounts up doesn’t it! Very underhand and not honest wouldn’t advise staying in this establishment. Which is sad for the staff as they are lovely and polite!

Very nice stay, staff at this site are very polite and helpful, the rooms are clean and with a Harvester on site it ticks all the boxes, one member that stands out is Alla, not only manages the reception but also helps out cleaning rooms

Travel Lodge Wrexham

Travel Lodge Wrexham. Stopped to use the services but they were just closing. My daughter in law across from Australia was desperate for a wee. we suggested that she try the travel lodge because of the urgency only to be told by the receptionist that they don't allow members of the public to use their toilet facilities. What is this country coming to.
