Beyond poor communication, incorrect information provided in writing - perhaps this is their way of getting people to buy deals by telling untruths!! I would have suggested clarify terms and conditions and get it in writing, but alas I have that and it still hasn’t worked!
I thought it was just the consultant I was dealing with but even when emailing the generic reservations email they don't get back to you. They aren't clear with their messaging and don't give you what the deal says. I had to take a screenshot to show them what was meant to be included and they finally agreed to include it. Then when I got to the hotel they weren't even included it was VERY frustrating. I asked them what happened and now they are ignoring my emails, very professional. I will tell all my friends & family never to use them!!!
After having created a quote online, I was dissapointed with the customer service when I called TravelOnline as I offered them a competing quote on the phone. The individual on the phone did not head me out about the price differences only claiming that their packages are the best and they negotiate directly with suppliers. They were also not able to pronounce the destination correctly which is a similar experience I get across Flight Centre too. We ended up booking with a competing South Pacific destination specialist wholesaler whom offered a competitive price but mainly outstanding service.
We understand that the current climate is hard for everyone, but these guys are showing their true colours. We booked to go to Vanuatu as we have done many times. We normally book our own flights and accommodation but I received an email from this company and thought I would give it a try. So obviously our trip was cancelled. No problem, to be expected at the moment and I’ve had a few holidays canceled over the years. I had rang this company about the cancellation in December last year which they confirmed. I have over $1900 in credit with them so I thought I would use them to book new flights. They sent me a quote to fly from Sydney to Brisbane with the same people , at a cost of over an extra $1000 I have tried over and over and over and over to get my credit sorted . I have talked to virgin directly and they informed me that they can provide the credit directly if travel online agree to hand over the control of tickets. When I told the travel online consultant about this their response was; when you ring virgin you deal with a retail representative and when we (travel online) ring we deal with a wholesale team that don’t give us the cheapest flights! On top of that on the phone they where really rude and condescending in manner. If I had of just booked directly like I normally do I would not be writing this right now. You are far better protected going direct. I really have to as What value do you add travel online? If I can order directly and get a cheaper deal ?

Do not Trust. They gave us a credit for $3124 then wouldn’t let us use it. Rip off merchants and would never recommend. Also have let most Veteran websites know as well. Tried to blame an ex employee. What a joke. Don’t trust them. Brendan Phillips

Booked a room with them 1 year ago, due to convid travel was cancel and credit voucher was gave to me to be spend n any hotel with travel online. I re book with them to go in Fiji, and they refuse as the voucher as to be spent in the same hotel, so I did. However after few day Travel online re contact me saying they need to charge extra due new rates or I can take a cheap room instead
I booked on line only to receive a phone call 2 days later to say hotel was not available. I then rang the hotel and booked direct.

Booked holiday for my family of 4 to Bali which has been cancelled due to COVID 19. Refund declined but travel voucher offered with conditions that make it unusable - particularly can only use travel voucher once and then balance forfeited. This is unfair given that there are no flights available to the value of my international flights. I also advised that the airlines policy was that the travel voucher could be used multiple tones until balance was zero but travel online said that their policy is one use only and balance forfeited.
The company is unconscionable. Do not use.
I booked a trip via travel online which I had to cancel due to travel ban in Australia. The hotel confirmed free cancellation and advised travel online had not paid them. Travel online cashed in and refused to provide a cash refund, providing voucher only. They went as far as first to lie about hotels/flights not having provided a refund but when I shared the email they changed their tune. Its very unlikely the company will survive so I can only assume it is to pay CEO and leader bonus as they would be getting job keeper to pay their staff. Do not use as they will screw you over to their benefit
I had a holiday booked to Hayman Island for myself and my 2 children. This was a once in a lifetime trip, as we were celebrating my 50 th Birthday and my sons 18th Birthday. It was a $14,000 holiday. Due to the Corona Virus we obviously couldn’t go. Travel online will not refund. I have one year to rebook, or I’ll lose the money. I am disappointed. The communication was so poor. Why shouldn’t I get a refund??? Other travel agents are offering refunds. This company will never get my business again. Never use Travel online.
I booked with Travelonline to Vanuatu for May 4th 2020, The Corona Virus hit and all travel was cancelled. This rip off company will not refund. The credit they offered was supposed to be for 12 months. When I checked the paperwork, flights were only good until January 2021 and accomodation was to the end of April 2021.
These thieving #$@$@$$@$ will not answer there phones, will not respond to emails anymore.
DO NOT book anything with this living thieving company

Jetstar refunded my flights in full because of the Corona Virus and they cancelled my flights but Travelonline will not refund me only offering a credit online which is not suitable for my circumstances. I was traveling with my infant Grandson who I foster through DCP and 2 other people on the booking who was coming to help and the chances of us all booking together are very slim. I have been informed by DCP that I will not be able to travel overseas for some time with my infant grandson. I spent 3 hours trying to get through to Jetstar and they agreed to give me a full refund and not a credit voucher. However Travelonline have now said they will not pass the refund on to me instead offering credit on file ??? What gives them the right to keep my refund.. Very disappointed and I will never book with them again..
Excellent service and I was a bit concerned as we had never changed GBP to Euros online before but no need to worry. Transferred the GBP and next morning the exchange was done and posted received the following day by Royal Mail Special Delivery. Excellent contact information at each stage both from COG and Royal Mail, will definitely use again and highly recommend their services to anybody.
They gave us 6 cent to the pound more than the local Tesco currency branch and we did a large sum of GBP to Euros so it made quite a difference.
Worst travel website. Charged me $15 extra for booking my train ticket from Melbourne to Sydney. The official NSW website shows the price of ticket as $65 but travelonline.com showed the pirce for the same ticket as $79. Will never use this website again. Such a rip-off
Have booked packages with TravelOnline to Bali, Penang & just recently
to Phuket/Singapore. I find the deals they offer are excellent value for money & always have extras like free tours & airport return pickups etc.

We're fussy bookers because we like to eke out the most out of our trips & although I'm not trying to encourage everyone to drive these people crazy, I do tend to change my mind a few times after getting quotes sent to me & they happily comply with requested info. & new quotes until I'm happy. I couldn't fault them & would highly recommend them (especially after some not so great experiences with other online sites).
I booked with Holly travel consultant couldn't have been more helpful prompt service, emailed the hotel as I requested a particular room and it was all done without any hassle and when I got to the hotel we got the room we requested. I have since booked another holiday with Holly would highly recommend Travel online Excellent.

I booked a Sunset Deluxe Pool access Room at The Graceland Resort in Phuket, with TravelOnline. It all seemed to go through until i received a call the following morning to inform me verbally, that only the Deluxe pool access room in the Graceland wing (Which is considerably older) not the Sunset wing was available. I was told that i was required to book it on line and that she was unable to make the booking, I immediately booked the room that once again I was told verbally was available, it all went through yet again, until I received an email an hour later, thats right ONE HOUR LATER!! stating that they had attempted to call me... Funny, as I didn't have a missed call... The email informed me that they were sorry this room was sold out, alternatively they have a POOL VIEW room available, If I book this room tomorrow morning they could have me in a broom closet!
My mother was booked into a deluxe room... I have since cancelled her room with the hotel and its cost me over $400.
If you don't have the software to show potential holidayers that your rooms are not available, you have no right claiming that you are experts at anything!!!!
