My experience with Trigglets Estate Agents was very poor. Communication was frequently slow and, in my view, fell below the level of professionalism I would expect from a letting agent, making even routine matters unnecessarily difficult.

The most serious issue arose at the end of my tenancy. I was presented with proposed deductions from my bond that, in my opinion, were excessive and did not reflect fair wear and tear. I found these charges difficult to justify based on the condition of the property and felt they were disproportionate. Fortunately, I was able to appeal the charges and the amount they claimed was reduced.

Overall, the process did not feel transparent or handled in a fair and balanced way. Based on this experience, I strongly advise tenants to take detailed photos of every room, carpet, and wall at both check-in and check-out. Also ensure any prospective tenant thoroughly checks for accuracy, and signs, the check-in and check-out documents - this wasn’t offered to me, and I felt the charges proposed in my case, were punitive.

This review reflects my personal, distressing experience, so I would urge others to keep thorough records, scrutinise any proposed deductions carefully, and challenge anything they believe is unreasonable.

David told me the seller would accept my offer, which I made right away. Helen then emailed me to say “congratulations”—the offer was accepted. The next day, they sold the same house to someone else.

This isn’t just bad service—it’s shady. It looks like they’re making under the table deals for extra cash.

If you’re thinking of working with them, don’t. They don’t respect buyers, and they don’t play fair. I wouldn’t trust them with any property deal.

Avoid Trigglets at All Costs!

We’ve been using Trigglets for multiple properties over the years, but it's clear now that they’re nothing more than a money-making scam. They took a lot of our monthly payments for property maintenance, but when it came down to actually maintaining the properties, they were nowhere to be found. It became painfully obvious that they were pocketing the money without providing the service they promised.

One of our properties developed mould, and when we reached out, it became evident that they had never actually carried out the promised inspections, despite claiming to do so every six months. This has now left us as landlords exposed, and with tenants moving out due to the poor living conditions, we are left to pick up the pieces.

To make matters worse, I’m currently in the process of taking them to the Property Ombudsman, only to find out that they aren’t even registered with them. Another massive red flag. This company is absolutely unprofessional and unreliable. If you value your property and your peace of mind, stay far, far away from Trigglets.

Don’t let yourself get ripped off like we did.

Was a tenant for 18 months with these guys. Definitely the worst I've ever encountered.
The communal areas weren't maintained once, and they took 3 weeks to fix a smashed window in the main door, which was granting everyone off the street access to the property.
If you want a bean of your deposit money back then don't go with Trigglets, they made up complete lies to try and prevent me from getting a penny.

I was lucky enough to have Madison to deal with my sale ... I can't recommend her enough. She is a lovely friendly person who goes above and beyond with help and support. Always willing to listen and offer advise and answer any questions on the phone or in person. Her communication is excellent. I cant fault Trigglets estate agents. They have been brilliant from start to finish. A special thankyou to Madison ... your support was first class ... good luck in the future ... just carry on being the lovely person you are ... Im sure you'll go far x

I have just sold my house with Trigglets and I can't rate them enough.
Half way through my sale I had a really traumatic thing happen in my personal life. Helen was there to help me through. She was patient, understanding but most of all compassionate. I can't thank her enough.
These estate agents are not like the others. They are a family run business and treat you like a human being and not a cash cow. Their fees are transparent, competitive with no hidden surprises.
I will definitely use them again. Thank you Trigglets.

We lived in one of their properties for over 4 years, and thankfully we have managed to buy our own home. Trigglets has been by far the worse letting agency I have ever dealt with in my life. Their staff are very rude, they don’t ring you back when they say, leaving you to constantly chase them for a response. We had mould in our home and it took Trigglets almost a year to get it sorted, even thought we have a 1 year old. The owner - Steve is also a very arrogant and extremely rude individual, who seems to think he’s the bees knees. He speaks to people in a very degrading manner. They do anything to take your money, even charging high admin fees for just simply renewing the tenancy agreement. They have then taken our full bond/deposit of nearly £600, to re decorate and get the grass cut. Every landlord has to redecorate a property after having a tenant in there for over 4 years. I would advise against letting a property with or through Trigglets at all costs.

We rented a property that had mould problems, leaking roof. All constantly reported. They sent decorators to spot paint over the mould !
Upon buying our own home and handing keys back they are now trying to take 400 quid out of our bond for re decorating the rooms where there's mould issues !
Absolutely disgraceful especially when the mould wasn't our fault we ventilated the house and bought a dehumidifier.
The decorator they sent patched the paint work shoddy so we should not be billed for this!
Was constantly told we were amazing tenants, when they was doing viewings for new tenants I even emailed to check the house was OK and they emailed back saying yes everything is fine.
They've increased the rent by 125 pcm which it's not worth so now their trying to get us to foot the bill to see to the shoddy repairs we had to live with for 2 years !!!

We started renting through these in March 2023. The service was fab, and any issues are addressed ASAP. Would 100% Recommend these!

Terrible service on selling my house. Double bookings twice and posted the wrong link on the Facebook site. Pay a cheap fee but you get what you pay for.

My experience with triggletts estates has been nothing short of amazing.

Great service from start to completion, more than competitive price for selling my house which was on the market within days of contacting them. Also bought the new house through them. They did a great job of chasing solicitors and all other parties involved, particularly Helen who kept me up date throughout the process. I can throughly recommend this firm.

Great company; very straightforward to deal with. Have bought properties through them and also placed rental property with them and the service is excellent. I would definitely recommend them to other sellers, buyers or landlords.
