I was very disappointed not to receive a refund when I cancelled my hotel booking on the second day of Middle East war due to the fact that airspace had been closed, my flights from Australia to Spain were cancelled, and the Australian government website said 'do not travel to Dubai. It was impossible for me to travel to the country in which my hotel was booked.
The airlines refunded my money, but Trip.com did not.
Other booking platforms do give refunds in these circumstances as its a Force Majeure.
It was an unusual, unforeseen circumstance totally out of my control.
I would like to have the money refunded.

User friendly app and has discounts
Fist time booking a flight here and so far the process was easy and fast. Price is also a bit cheaper

Flight booking failed on Trip.com website and did not provide confirmation. Rebooked. Then received two booking confirmations within 4 minutes of each other. Despite multiple chat, telephone and email communications they refused to refund the flight they booked in error without a 15%/£64 MyTrip fee. They also do not read or listen to your concerns. You get standard response that only offer to refund with the MyTrip fee. This is profiteering to the disadvantage of consumers and poor business practise. Stressful and time wasting service. It is not worth the benefit of the marginally lower flight cost vs alternatives. Use more trustworthy agents. DO NOT USE this company.
