My account was closed without my permission and thousands of dollars in early withdrawal fees were applied. This ruined me financially.

My account was closed without my permission and thousands of dollars in fees were applied. I recieved a check in the mail with the proceedings. The tax burden will be more than I can bare. I can't tell you how devastating this is for me. Now I have to wait until someone calls "to resolve the issue" and it could be days from now.

T.Rowe Price is installing a new dashboard

T.Rowe Price is installing a new dashboard when a client logs in. At the moment there is the option to use the "older" legacy dashboard but I am told they have made the decision to phase it out in the near future. There is no advantage that I see to installing a new dashboard - just makes it difficult for us to try to figure out how to navigate it. The "old" one works just fine but management has been insensitive to my request to allow the legacy dashboard as an option.

life events coordinator very unresponsive

trying to settle my deceased Mother's estate. Their life events coordinator only called once and left a message. Trying to return her message her by phone or email has resulted in silence. No responses. This after four weeks of attempting to get answers so that I can submit what they say they need. Calling their help line: they are very polite but no action results. Still no responses. I have investments of my own in other firms, who are much more responsive. I do not recommend T Rowe Price.

Negative stars

I wish it was possible to give a company negative stars. If you have a choice, please choose any other company. Unfortunately, my employer sponsored 401K is with them.

I was needing to take a hardship withdrawal to buyout my ex from my home. I was very careful to specify that I needed an additional amount withdrawn to cover my tax implications (I am not yet 59 1/2 so penalties as well as taxes). T Rowe did not take the specified amount out and because the net amount to me was correct, I did not catch it. They then claimed that by cashing the check for the correct amount to me, that was an agreement that everything was correct.

I asked T Rowe if they could remit the payment to the IRS retroactive to the 2024 tax year and send me an amended 1099-R. Customer service rep after rep kept dropping the ball and I had to chase them down for answers. Another yelper called them "obstructionist and dysfunctional" and I couldn't agree more. Throughout the whole process, they were evasive, vague and flat out gave wrong information all while trying to blame me for their screw up. They ultimately refused to remit MY MONEY to the IRS and send an amended 1099. claiming it was because it crossed a tax year. I have never heard of anything so stupid.

Please, if you have a choice, RUN. Use any other company.

Unbelievable-T.R. Price does not care about their customer.

Unbelievable. Poo Poo on me for advertiseing for some 20 years for T. R. Price by recommending to seminar participants, friends and family. My MISTAKE! Well its my fault for not doing my due deligence. I contacted T.R. Price once 20 years ago to open up a IRA and today to make a $1.00 (ONE DOLLAR) request which was denied "with attitude and a laugh and a so what". 2024 T.R. Price made my account 10% which is not nearly enough to force feed me T.R. Price non customer care courtesy to remain a client after requesting a form available online for anyone to download. T. R. Price would not mail to me without my social security number this available online form that anyone via the public can download. I mentioned that i am a senior citizen and do not have a printer for i do not have a need for a printer which may sound petty or strange to some but i ask you if i have not printede anything in 30 years why do i need to aquire a printer and then reinvest when the printer OS needs to be updated inorder to work. Nope no need and no this

t.

r. Price form is not that important to invest in a printer for a one time use. No i am not going to take my time to download to thumb drive and go to copy shop to print for i ffeel for the amount of $ i have invested in T.R. Price it would be more than reasonable to service my $1.00 request. Note: I did give all requested info from T. R. Price (?customer service ((NON)) other than ss # so T. Rowe price denied my request but in the same breath stated to download from the internet and when i do get a printer print it and send it via us mail. I even asked to the NON customer service that for $1.00 and apeasing a faithful (PAST) customer T.R.Price would jeopordize losing a customer. Well i was laughing in bewilderment as much as the T.R. Price NON customer service representative laughing when they remarked and i am paraphrasing, nope don't care. Now i have read other reviews and this attitude seems to be ongoing and the norm. The SP 2024 returns doubled what T.R. Price made me which makes since if the same people in charge of the investments are the same people in charge of customer care-sub par.

THE WORST COMPANY

THE WORST COMPANY. T. Rowe Price manages the Maryland 529 program and I have wasted over 6+ months dealing with them, they are mismanaging my funds and are extremely horrible to deal with. Customer service is abhorrent. These people should be in prison. Do NOT ever go with T. Rowe Price, you will be sorry!

Useless Service - Can't fix their own mistakes

What a nightmare. They completely messed up a small and simple 401(k) withdrawal, even sent the money to the wrong company at one point. I'm up to about eight phone calls and many hours on the phone. This came about because my company moved their 401(k) plan from Schwab, who has always been fantastic and empowers people to solve problems.

Good luck getting your money

Good luck getting your money. Initiated a withdrawals weeks ago. Was told they’d mail me a form. Never got it. Called about it and they said they email them. Then sent the form back only to find out they provided the wrong form. Sent the new form two weeks ago. Still no money. Called and was told the check’s in the mail and takes about 10 days.

I’d give 1 star if I could

I’d give 1 star if I could. Horrible customer service. Long put on holds. Takes 25-30mins to get anything done. They cost me a lot of $ due to microphone issues on their end. Timing the market & agent can’t hear me. Then they hang up on me & wait 24hrs again to call & apologize & didn’t put the order through. Go with Fidelity

TERRIBLE

TERRIBLE! I have been with them for 25 years with IRA funds and today I get a notice that, in addition to their high regular fund fees, I will be charged a $20 account service fee! Also, they will hit me with a charge when I cash out my funds. I am sick of this company and I will close out my remaining 5 funds and move it all to Fidelity! Choke on these fees T Rowe Price you are screwing investors with fees.

Can't get my money today and I need it.

The woman on the phone acted like a damn robot. Was not helpful at all, and why the hell do it matter if the card I want my money to be sent to is a pay card or not. Then these folks already charge you 25 bucks to take your 401k completely out for being terminated, they add an additional 30 dollars for your money to be direct deposited, or even sent by express mail. I really hate how the 401k process is, I need all my money and way sooner than 5 to 7 business days, yall making it hard as hell to get the money.
