My first experience with their company…

My first experience with their company thru remote personnel post COV 7/22 has been horrific at best. With a acquisition of our national bank by M&T, they have private questions to access info. that is off the map of any institution in my 67 year life.

So now I get to receive a form that needs notarized, and the account setup from the acquisition is reason they even have my 401k funds. Terrible contact with remote agent asking private info after provided SS#/address/etc! Ridiculous customer service, I don't intend to use them at all cost.

A second agent (maybe not remote had same experience, requested manager & was not optional without a specific question answered I'd never had before!

Cannot access my account

Normally I would give T Rowe Price a very good review. However, I have not been able to access my account from Ireland where I am currently living since they instituted new security measures.
The phone assistants do not understand the rules or how to help me. Multiple calls have not helped.
The authenticating apps they want me to use locked up my phone and they seem incapable of dialling ireland to leave a text message.
Truly terrible customer service. I hope someone there sees this and does something to HELP.

Terrible company

Terrible company, literally have refused to refund my funds after repeated attempts to get the funds out of a trading account. They supposedly have no investment data, very suspicious & frankly deceitful.

Avoid like the plague. Sean Munn

Dissatisfied Customer

I had to go through 3 people just to get my banking info changed to send a payment to me each month. After 30 minutes and 3 people I got a person who didn’t know what he was doing and couldn’t send me a confirmation that it was done.

Most companies have a place you can do this action online but T Rowe Price makes it pretty difficult. Will be moving my account.

It takes forever to get to a customer…

It takes forever to get to a customer service rep. Website is very confusing and not entirely useful. We recently had to change bank accounts for direct deposit for both IRA distributions and a pension. They are handled by separate divisions of the company , necessitating two separate calls (and endless wait time) and two different processes to make the change. When a pension deposit still went to the wrong account after multiple conversations with reps, the last one asked if I had “sent in the form.”. First time anyone ever mentioned it! I really lost it at that point. And the form was not available on the web site - you had to call and ask for it! I think I was dealing with a kid in his first week or so on the job, judging from the loooong holds, but at least he got that right.

Customer Service Takes a Nosedive

I am a long time T. Rowe investor. I have been with them over 10 years and in the past have recommended their services to others. Very recently customer service at T. Rowe has taken a nosedive. My web page has errors and parts of it are not working. You get a message that says please call when you try and contact them via email and when you call you get a message that says get a number and wait in line, eventually we will call you, but they never do. At this point and time T Rowe does not have the security, technology, or personnel to maintain the level of investments they now have. Adding additional resources to your account there would be a mistake. As would be opening a new account. You can't blame all of the world's problems on Covid. Many businesses are thriving. Tax season comes at the same time each year. Maybe you should have been preparing for it months ago? Your customer services are unsatisfactory and I won't be rolling over my $401K there like I had planned to.

Avoid them at all costs

This review is in response to T.Rowe Price’s (TRP) concerted efforts to prevent me from getting access to my parents trust after their passing. As an executor and trustee I had full and legal rights to these funds. My estate attorney was “quite frankly ASTOUNDED” by their refusal to share information with me in spite of my status of trustee. The tactics used to inhibit access were as follows: TRP representatives NEVER provide customers with their last name or phone numbers so you can contact them. They only provide the main switchboard number. This totally prevents you from contacting the same person directly for follow-up. They NEVER provide case numbers or confirmations numbers, and refused to let me speak with their supervisors. They repeatedly provided incorrect information when providing directions on how to fill out forms. They made several mistakes on the various account registration causing tax nightmares.
If you find yourself in this situation I recommend you contact the Assistant Attorney General, Maryland Office of the Attorney General, Securities Division.
