Shambles of a company
As with a lot of other dissatisfied customers I got on line valuation and booked home collection and also a callback. Never got the callback and next day sure enough came the email stating car had been over valued by £2000 and cancelling the booking I had made. I will never use or recommend these cowboys to any one only warn them.
Awful company
Rescheduled my appointment. Price given was over a £5136 difference, then I received an email after my appointment with a revised price of £4000. Wasted my time driving an hour there and an hour back. Don't waste your time.
I was just about to take my car to them…
I was just about to take my car to them until I read the reviews thanks to all for saving me a journey, has anyone thought of reporting them to Trading Standards
Same as the rest of the reviews
Same as the rest of the reviews. Got a high quote of 1700 online and booked appointment only to receive an updated quote of 650 and appointment cancellation.
If this is technical issue with the online evaluation form, then it should be immediately fixed (as it seems to be the case for a long time) or it should be considered as phising/scamming.
Cheaters and very dishonest
Cheaters and very dishonest
don't come close
Never showed up for their appointment
Never showed up for their appointment
emailed saying their valuation was wrong due to a fault on their system
knocked £2000 off their estimate before seeing it !!!!!
scammers in their finest
Absolute Con!!!!!
Fake! Fake! Fake! Have an evaluation and then emails postponing appointed and reduced offer by £2k!!! Blamed the online evaluation however if you rerun the same search comes back will original offer!!
Stay well away!!
Dont trust them - they are not Trusted
I wish I’d read the reviews before going to “not to be” TrustedCarBuyers. Like others here they gave a great price when I enquired and then sent me to a professional car de-valuer and then offered an incredibly low price. Absolute waste of a full morning and a long journey into the de-valuer. Don’t Trust them - their name is a lie !
Hook you with higher value waste of time
Gave a valuation higher than others booked an appointment took day off work called to get an accurate time to be told the valuation was wrong and was £5k lower disgusting wasted day and this is how they hook you valued again after being told and although a few hundred pounds lower still almost the same so i valued my wifes car again over £1500 over other sites very very angry dont use and i will tell everyone i know
Disappointed
Filled form, would come Monday 9am-1pm. Waited but no one came or rang up. Disappointed.
Email sent:The online reveiws are…
Email sent:The online reveiws are correct and I was expecting this to happen! this is the best way to p!55 people off by offering a high online price then reduce it.
I see that you blame your IT systems which has been going on for some considerble time according to the reviews. It seems you need an IT firm to sort out your ongoing issues.
I would have been p!55ed off when I would on Saturday have driven from Nottingham to Newark to have been insulted by you reducing the offer even further which would have made me even more p!55ed off.
I have worked in the motor trade in the past and I am aware of the disgusting tactics they use to rip unsuspecting customers off. I would rather this excellent BMW Z4 sat in my garage and rotted than stolen off me by liars like your lot.
Trusted car buyers what a joke. ps I will be writing a review to go with your other numerous bad reviews.
THEY CANT EVEN QUOTE CORRECTLY!
Got a valuation of £3,078 at 02:28 (insomnia sufferer!), confirmed an appointment at that their York branch... then at 10:08, I get another email with a reduced offer of £2,400
“Good morning Aaron We have postponed / cancelled your appointment with us at Trusted Car Buyers 08 - 07 - 2019, 11:00:00 am. The reason was the online valuation has regrettably produced an erroneous figure for the vehicle which would not be achievable. Your revised valuation is; £2400 If you would like to discuss further please call 01617110656.”
Absolute Cowboys, should have read here first🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
Absolutely SHOCKING and just a complete…
Absolutely SHOCKING and just a complete con really. Nobody likes selling cars but this was a complete joke. Valuation given of 8361. Phoned to discuss that it had a private registration plate. Then asked to confirm any faults( already done on line ) 2 slightly marked alloys and a slight ding from a shopping trolley.
Sorry Sir, computer has made a mistake valuation now 4500!!! Unbelievable service and way of working. I have never been one to use feedback sites but I would avoid this company at all cost. You will only be disappointed.
Smoke and Mirrors
Like many: Given a good offer only to have the appointment cancelled and a revised lower offer put forward. (The ubiquitous computer glitch that only ever seems to ‘accidentally’ offer over the market value) On arriving at the car show room, having reluctantly accepted the lower offer, they wouldn’t/couldn’t even honour that lower offer.
Refused on point of principle as I would rather sell for less to a place that won’t pay commission to this company with their glitchy computer system. Their practices seem less than honest.I sincerely hope they get investigated by an ombudsman or trading standards.
I wonder why second hand car dealers have such a bad name??
Use a different system to find potential buyers.
I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED ANYTHING LIKE…
I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED ANYTHING LIKE THIS THEY EMAILED ME 15 TIMES TO GET AN UPDATED VALUATION IT WENT FROM £880 TO £730 BECAUSE ONLY HAD ONE KEY THEN BACK UP TO £768 WHEN PROVIDED PHOTOS. TODAY I THOUGHT I WOULD MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITH THEM WHICH I DID AND WAS CONFIRMED 30 SECONDS LATER THEY CANCELLED I ASKED WHY HE SAID PRICE HAD CHANGED IN 3 WEEKS LOOKED AT MY MARCH 20/20 MOT AND SAID WE CAN OFFER £300 TO SAY I WAS DISGUSTED IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT DO NOT AT ANY COST USE OR TRUST THESE ABSOLUTE SCUM CANT BELIEVE THEY ARE STILL TRADING HE WAS ALSO RUDE AND ARROGANT ONLY A MATTER OF TIME UNTIL TRADING STANDARDS GET INVOLVED
Over value a car......come on
As other people have stated, got a valuation that was good, so booked an appointment. I got an email saying they over valued the car and cancelled the appointment. There is clearly something fishy about them. I would stay well clear!
As many on here have stated ....STAY AWAY!!!
As many on here have stated .....stay well away from this shower!
They should be investigated by an organisation who stop daylight robbery!
Quoted on line 3 times over several hours and given the same quote to stop the chance of "a computer glitch"!
Ok, thought I'd go with it and booked an appointment.
Low and behold, phone goes as we were travelling over....told they had a computer glitch ( hmmm! anyone heard that before??? ) and its above market value that was given. Said the maximum they would offer would be several thousand less ...on an immaculate prestige car!
Obviously told them where to shuv their quote!
Stay well away from these cowboys ....the good write ups are no doubt false and by employers of this shower!!!
If it's too good to be true ....it usually is.....deffinatley in the case of this crowd!!!
My overall experience has been…an absolute joke!
I made the appointment the day before and upon arriving to the appointment i was informed by George that he was not informed about the appointment and that he had to go to the hospital and we rearranged for 12:30pm, so after wasting my time and petrol i came back again he looked over all the emails as to the quotes given online (1 including the damage on the vehicle) we then carried on with the appraisal and then went to speak to head office to get a price, he came back around 5 minutes later to say he doesn't want to insult me with the price given and i'd be offered £2500 if the car was 'clean' this is over £1000 less than quoted online.. the excuse i was given that there was a computer issues last night. After this appointment i received and email stating that they called me yet have no missed calls and to rearrange my appointment (bit late!) of which i have responded with what i'm writing now, since this i have also done another quote online and got the same quote from last night, so clearly either computers are still broken or they're just full of sh!t.
I'd steer clear of this company, i understand that the businesses bargain on pricing but to go from over £3000 to not quote me as it's 'insulting' is a bloody joke!
Twice they canceled my appointment…
Twice they canceled my appointment because they over value cars and then cancel appointments cause they won't pay out on the value they provide.
ABSOLUTE JOKE
Paul has been great and really helpful
Paul has been great and really helpful. As first time to sell my car, he has patiently given me the clear explanation and assure there is no worry. It turns out everything going quickly with no concern. Highly Recommend.
