Very happy with the whole experience

Shaun is very pleasant but very thorough. I decided to try Trusted Car Buyers as the online valuation was much better than "you know who". I knew I was going to have to take a hit on the value against using the Autotrader but it meant that I got just one visit from a serious buyer who wasn't just going to kick it's tyers and leave. I thought I might have to fight to keep the online valuation and I wasn't going to let it go for any less but my concerns where unfounded. I was also anxious about allowing the car to be taken then waiting three days for payment but everything went through with no problems.
I wouldn't hesitate to use their services again and would highly recommend them.

You won't get the online valuation no matter how good your car is

It's obvious that they'll give you a price online that they have no intention of giving you on inspection. My car was immaculate but the buyer still manged to knock £350 off the online valuation I received 3 days earlier. Said it was "the wrong time of year" to get best price. Just did another valuation with same car on their site and it suggested £200 more than the original quote!!

Really couldn't be bothered with the selling private hassle - time wasters, can I pay by cheque etc, so got a few online quotes and spoke to a few buyers. Eventually chose Shaun Copp from TCB as he sounded the most genuine (all of them try, very few succeed) and also he had decent reviews. Shaun was very courteous, gave the car a thorough examination and was up front and honest about any scratch's and minor defects and why he offered the price he did. We eventually came to a offer we were both happy with, and although not quite as much as I originally wanted, it wasn't a million miles off the online quote, and if you use companies like this then that's always the case. Money in the bank when he said it would be and follow up email to ask if I had received it.

Total utter waste of time !

Total utter waste of time !! My car was valued at £5,450 my car was immaculate the only fault it had was the drivers seat was slightly worn made me stand outside then telephoned me with a offer of £4500 ermmm no I don't think so !! He proceeded to tell me two of my tyres were bald and that it didn't have sat nav or parking sensors or a sunroof by this time I knew he was having a laugh I explained I had put the correct details make model ect and the car was exactly what it should have been.
Hence I didn't sell on the way home I called in Kwik Fit guess what the tyres were fine my advice sell on Gumtree had over 40 calls sold to first person to see next day for a lot more money

Offered the best price initially only to claim it was a "wrong" offer at the appointment!

Avoid using these operators. The car was in immaculate condition as their "local agent" in the depth of South Wimbledon confirmed. Then suddenly "Stuart" their head buyer had to be contacted and told me that the initial offer had been too generous and that because the car was an automatic it would be difficult to sell - despite them having every single detail about the car - including its transmission type - for days already. This is just a scam to get you to the appointment and then downgrade the offer by 21%. I will never use them.

Great Service!

I researched a number of organisations with regards to selling my car at a decent price with as little hassle as possible and found what I needed in TrustedCarBuyers.com.

Shaun Copp, the Vehicle Purchaser I dealt with, was absolutely great. He was personable, informative, prompt in returning calls and genuine. I would have no problem dealing with them again or recommending them.

Brilliant service! Highly recommended!!

I can not recommend trusted car buyers enough. They were professional & offered me a great price for my car. Shaun arrived at my house within half an hour of making contact, he was honest & the money was in my account within 3 working days. I had previously visited we buy any car who reduced the price for my car dramatically due to a couple of marks that were barely visible. All in all I cannot speak highly enough of trusted car buyers !!

Total scam artists and time wasters

Total scam artists and time wasters. Had an initial appointment where the guy didn't even show up! Rescheduled for a week later, for them to knock the price down considerably. Bearing in mind the initial price offered was a joke, this was a real slap in the face. Don't waste your time like I did.

Time Wasters - Final Offer 30% of Quote Value - Didn't show up to 2 Appointments - Go Elsewhere

Received a quote from the website of £1335 for a car worth around £1500-1800 on autotrader. Fair enough, that is how these sites work. I filled in the quote form without my V5 so made the assumption of one owner in fact there were three. I presumed this would knock some value off when it was inspected.

Booked first appointment in Bromborough in the Wirral and received a text conformation of the appointment. Took the afternoon off work to sort it out.

I was called at 2.15 to say that the buyer couldn’t make it but would rearrange to come to my work 2 days later at 12.30.

Second time buyer didn't show up. Had to call the company. The buyer then contacted me. Clearly didn't want to have to come through the Mersey tunnel. He pointed out that there were 3 owners which is fair enough and then Offered me £700 then asked if there was any damage. Explained there was a scrape in the door but otherwise in good condition. He then offered £400, I said no thanks.

I don't mind a low offer, but I hate the fact that they wasted an afternoon of my anual leave and then lunch break. I don't know why we couldn't of had this 30 second conversation over the phone without wasting my time and energy by not turning up to 2 appointments. Appallingly rude behavior.

Excellent service

Did a bit of research before selling my car, and chose TrustedCarBuyers.com. Shaun came round to evaluate the car, and I sold for a good price. Everything went smoothly and hassle-free. Would definitely use again and recommend to anybody.

What a scam. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

What a scam! Do not be duped into using this company. I have read other reviews which state that this company will make you an offer online and then call you up to say that the offer was an "error" and they can only offer a lower amount. In my case it was 25% less than the original offer. Given that this "error" keeps occurring this leads me to believe that the original offer is just a way of reeling unsuspecting customers in. The person I spoke to on the phone, Darren, was very rude, tried to blame the price difference in the change in market (it was two hours since the original valuation!) and then tried to accuse me of lying on the application form (which I didn't). When I said I would be reporting to trading standards he hung up on me. You'll also note that this company has had a complaint to the ASA upheld against them. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Using their website was easy and …

Using their website was easy and straightforward. Received an email with a fair quote to purchase my car. Made an appointment and received a call from TCB explaining that I received a false quote and the real price was £2.5k less on a car worth over £17k. They apologised and said it had never happened before and they would fix the fault straight away etc.

The next day I received another request to make an appointment, which I did only to receive another phone call virtually the same as previously received. They said it had never happened before etc.

Later in the week I received another invitation to make an appointment at the original valuation. Thinking they had resolved their problems another appointment was made, and then the phone call from someone else who explained it was a mistake, had never happened before etc but would still like to buy my car

Really upset that a company can behave in such a manner, guess they will fool some people

As it happens We Buy any Car did honour their bid and purchased the car for just below this companies original offer

Treat with caution, if at all

Quite amazingly I received an even better offer to buy my car yesterday, only to be told they may have made a mistake.

This company never fails to amaze me, how they are still trading I will never know. Most wierd

Trusted car buyers Manchester- Excellent Service

Due to a family bereavement I needed to sell a car and didn't want the hassle of going down the private sale route.
I got quotes from all the main internet car buying sites including we buy any car and also contacted the garage where the car was purchased 9 months ago. I received a range of pricing but felt that the approach from Shaun at trusted car buyers was helpful but not intrusive and their location was close to me.
Shaun was very accommodating and I felt he was genuine when checking the car and we reached an agreed price that was higher than we buy any car and the dealer who sold the vehicle initially had offered.
The sale process was very straightforward and I received the money exactly when Shaun advised.
All in all the process was very straightforward and Shaun was excellent.

Lowest starting offer

They are offering £1000 less than webuyanycar for the same date online evaluation. I entered the same mileage, Reg number etc and they undercut me a further £1000 off retail price for my Qashqai which webuyanycar already undercuts by £1000 less than a private sale price. I recommend sellers to stick to traditional valuation services/purchasers

I wish I never visited Trusted Buyers

I wish, I could give it a zero star. Had a estimate price on my VW CC from their website based on Reg no., miles, service history, mot, etc. I was even honest enough to say wheels were kerbed based which they reduced the price and I agreed too as it was fair on lower side still. On the day off appointment, welcomed by a nice friendly gentle man who gave a fair review on the car and then he called Trusted cars to give his observations. Had to wait for 1.5hours for their call to be told they are knocking off 20% on the estimate price for ref no being a Northern Ireland(I moved to England recently for job and registered the car with DVLA England for change of address).. which is ridiculous. Did they not know reg no was from Northern Ireland when they gave me an estimate? First thing they ask for in the website is registration number based on which they give an estimate which is already 25% less than real market price for same year car with similar miles and now they want to knock off another 20%, greedy bast----.
