Booked an appointment

Booked an appointment, got the confirmation. Drove to them through traffic. I was met by a man who was already seeing other customers in my timing slot. 30 minutes later he looks at my car as if he's just buying time. 20 minutes later he tell me he's waiting for a call for someone to confirm the booking for him cuz apparently "did it too fast". I call their helpline and was told I would get a call back in 2 minutes.

I am now sitting with webuyanycar and the sale is already almost done.

Don't bother with trusted car buyer

Excellent 5* service..

Excellent 5* service...
The guy (Stewart) that delt with the sale of my car, was kind, very professional and obviously new all aspects of his job.
I got 100% professional service, a very fair price for my car, a smooth sale and a quick transaction into my bank once the sale had been completed.
I would definitely use this company again and I have already recommended the company to family & friends.
THANKS again Stewart.

Absolut joke

Absolut joke. They cut 1000 from the quote for 1 (one) chip in the bumper which not even the Toyota dealer didn`t fixed. and 1 alloy scuff probably when they change the tyres(just a bit of damage)
i said. ok...let`s see what is the price now...1000 drop. Talked to the guy on the phone, and just because we were talking he made me an even worst offer with 200 less than final price we agree... :)))
maybe he didn`t like me...i totally understand. This is called professionalism :)
This was my first time when tryed an online buyer. NEVER AGAIN.
there might be good ones but trustedcarbuyer sucks big time.

Absolut joke!

Try to steal your car

Had a valuation from the website of £6600, so made an appointment to sell. Received a call day before appointment saying the valuation i had received was not accurate and the car was only worth £5800. He then proceeded to talk me into still selling, with a very silver tongue, and that webuyanycar and others would offer less. Needless to say, I sold my car to webuyanycar for £600 more.

They will pick the lowest figure out of glasses gudie or out the thin air (i choose the latter) to get you there. Then if your car isn't in 'concours condition' and I mean SHOW WINNING standards, they keep you hanging 30mins to check over 5 page report -30% of the orginal valuation!
If you enjoy being messed about, lied to and the feeling of utter dissatisfaction running though your body as they nikpic EVERY tiny nic, mark and other general wear and tear THEN GET YOURSELF BOOKED IN!!

If you do value your 'will to live', your time and dignity to EVANS HALSAW'S I'm sure they're reputation has some validity!

Stay away from them!!!

I got an online offer for my nearly £4000 and made the appointment. I got there and the price dropped the offer by half saying their computer sometimes generates incorrect offers and my car have soo low mileage and should be 5 years old. The interested bit is these people have their knowledge from the internet (not any forum - this is BMW forum) and their excused are soo funny and childish. This is just dishonest and highly unprofessional. Judging by other reviews everyone should steer well clear of these dishonest amateurs.

WEIGHT OFF MY MIND

I got a good price for my car with a hassle free sale more than what i was expecting. The gentleman that dealt with my sale was very nice and understanding as the car belonged to my wife who passed away a couple of weeks ago and i didn't want the hassle of selling my car private and people kicking tyres etc. I'm not ready for that kind of hassle as the other company's i went to stressed me out with there knock down tactics picking faults with my wife's car and it felt like i had to defend my wife's honor. (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED)

Very pleasant sale

Fantastic company. I received a great price online so I was happy. When I got there I was sat down in the office with a nice cup of tea which I needed as it was freezing cold. They were fair with me as the price reduced slightly due to my tyres were badly worn on the inside and the price was reduced by £100 the price of 2 new tyres which was still miles ahead of what any other company offered. Very warming company that also gave me advice on my new car which saved me buying a heap of junk. Will use again DEFINITELY.

Very Bad from Start to Finish

The quote I received seemed a little low, but I was happy to proceed. Arrived on time at the specified meeting point, only to find that the person I was meeting was not there, but at another garage 20 miles away. The meeting place agreed was a lovely garage, but the man working there was very fed up of Rich using his garage for a trading hub, as he was often late or didn't turn up, and often had to ring him for the customers. I did not want to drive that additional distance to be given an insulting offer for my car, so asked them to guarantee the quote. I appreciate the car was not seen, but instead of saying potentially yes, the offer was lowered by £600-£800!!!! Now I paid for a CAP and Parkers quote, and they were already offering £2000 below the trade in value! They tried to tell me that Exchange and Mart were selling them for that price, which is just LIES! To add insult to injury, they are still emailing and texting me to "SECURE MY QUOTE" by booking an appointment! My advice - totally avoid unless you are desperate for cash!!!

Fair-ish Price but Really Poor Admin.

Gave me an average price for my car.
However they took 5 weeks to inform DVLA costing me a month RFL and putting me at risk of prosecution for any incident involving my old car in that period.
Be careful.

Adendum.
It appears that I have been a bit naive in not reading the terms of my V5C document which states that it was my responsibilty to notify DVLA. I should not have left the document in its entirety with the TrustedCarBuyers representative in Cardiff despite his "leave that with me and I will sort it out" offer.
If TCB suggest this DO NOT LEAVE THE V5C WITH THEM!
Take the relevant part of the form home with you and inform DVLA youself.
Apparently TCB agents have now been advised not to offer to do this anymore, so if they do, say no and arrange it youself to avoid financial loss and avoid any legal risks after you have handed over the keys.

I’m sorry to hear you had trouble in regards to DVLA receiving notification of your sale to us.

Unfortunately the V5C/3 is your legal responsibility to send to the DVLA as it states on the back of the slip. If our branch offered to post it on your behalf we cannot be held responsible for matters that arise after that point.

However we always use our customer feedback to make our service better and in this case our operations manager has informed all branches not offer to post V5C/3 documents on behalf of our customers.

I hope this puts your mind at rest and I’m pleased to see from your comments that you were happy with the price you received for your Mazda 6

keep clear of these cowboys

i was told online they would give me scrap value of 100 pounds for my car which was used every day until I bought a new car three weeks ago this car is a good runner and has got an MOT, when I went to the appointment this man inspected the car like he was buying it for himself even took the car for a test drive then he told me that they would take it off my hands and only offer me a free disposal and nothing for the car. I have never known a company like this one definitely one company to avoid at all cost .NOT TO BE TRUSTED !

Hi Steven

Sorry you feel your experience was negative but we refer all end of life vehicles to cartakeback.com. If our purchaser offered you free disposal then I don't understand your problem scrap vehicles are only worth around £100.00 therefore the amount we would get would hardly cover the admin cost of the disposal.

Regardless thanks for your feedback.

Complete Con

I got an online offer for my car of just over £9000 and made the appointment. Before I even got there Ryan rang and dropped the offer by £1100 saying their computer sometimes generates incorrect offers. This is just dishonest and these people should be reported to trading standards. Judging by other reviews everyone should steer well clear of these shysters.

Hi Liz

In the interest of transparency can I firstly explain the user car market is similar to the stock exchange. Prices fluctuate and 3rd party data providers get it wrong. Which is the reason we contacted you before you arrived at branch. I'm sorry the news wasn't what you expected but we manually review every single booking against live market data to make sure we can honour the system generated amount in your case we felt we could not so wanted to let you know.

Please see the below text stated through the online valuation process.

We always carry out an on-site evaluation of any vehicle before we offer to purchase it. If we consider that its value is affected by any aspect of its history or condition, including any unusual features or customisation, which was not apparent to us when we gave the online offer, the price that we offer for the vehicle may differ from the online valuation. Due to unstable market conditions if there is a change in the market value of your car resulting in a reduced valuation so that we don't waste your time, we endeavour to let you know what the new valuation is at least 24 hours before your appointment, so that you have the opportunity to cancel. We do not charge any administration fee's, and if you decide to sell your car to us our standard payment method is BACS transfer which takes upto 4 working days after the day of sale to arrive at your bank account. For an additional fee of £35.00 we may provide you with the option of receiving payment via next working day.

very easy

Online offer was £5540 for my Vauxhall. Someone called me and talked me through the process and told me where to go. At the appointment John met me, looked at my documents and checked my car.

I hadn't seen the alloy wheel scuffs or noticed my MOT was due soon. John inputted this into the system and the price was reduced £100 which I thought was fair. The process was simple even if the office was a little hard to find (I had to call John to direct me).

would 100% use them again money on my bank before I got home.
