I know these sort of reviews on websites are always filled with glowing reviews, but this was genuinely the Mose delicious steak I have ever eaten, enhanced by the excellent spice rub it came with. I don’t eat much beef because supermarket steak I find a bit disappointing. Hence when I have it I will push the boat out. Will I order again? I already have.

I have ordered from these guys online and payment has been made, but I didn't get a confirmation email after, I tried calling for the last few days, most of the time is unanswered, when it was finally answered I was told the online team would give me a call straight away. No call and then I send you guys an email no reply. If you are not going to run your business properly just don't do it then. I would expect to get a refund back!!!
I called again the next day, the person that answered said nothing he can do, no refund, no call back after he promise the day before and hang up on me, also said see what you can do about it.

Ignored Gift Voucher
I have had the worst experience with their mail order department. I had a £100 gift voucher and used it to try and place an order. As the order was over £100 I had to submit my credit card for the difference. They took full payment on my credit card, have not responded to emails and now you can't even call them. Absolutely non-existant customer service. I don't care how good a product is (and it is!) if the company is incapable, or worse, ignores issue. I am so frustrated by this and the complete lack of response or interest from them. Posting here is my last resort as no other tried method of communication has been succesful at any level.

Following another email to T&G containing an ultimatum that they resolve the issue or I would contact my card provider, T&G finally responded with a refund for the missing item and an apology.
Problem solved - for now.
I am happy enough with their product that I have given them another chance with a second order to see if they can live up to their promise to do better.

I recently ordered multiple items from Turner and George, specified and paid for the delivery slot, all very smooth and easy.
Email and text confirmations, plus great communications sent out with delivery details and updates.
Day of delivery, and right on schedule, box of meat arrived, with the courier following the delivery instructions perfectly. So far so good.
Opened the box, to find still frozen ice packs, perfectly chilled and packaged meat. EXCEPT, only 2 items of the 3 i ordered were there. The packing note showed three had been packed, but all packaging was untampered with, and there didn't look to be room in the box for the additional cut.
Mistakes happen, I emailed a query asking how they intended to fix the problem. The answer is apparently to ignore the email. And the follow up email. Nor do they answer their phone.
This is very frustrating as the meat (1 so far) was excellent quality and perfect for my requirements. I've tried other butchers, online and high street and have not yet found better.
So please T&G, answer your compaints and put things right.

As good as their word!
Further to my recent review I am now in a position to say that, following being contacted by telephone by "Danny" of their marketing department I have now received the rest of my order and if the lamb is as good as the beef was I am sure I will shop with them again. All I would add is that everything could have happened just as it had if only they had put a note or some communication in to say the rest of my order would follow none of this would have happened. Maybe a lesson learned for them as I am sure, given the quality of their product, they do not deserve any bad reviews on their customer care. I will order from them again and trust all will go well. Above and beyond
I've ordered a few times. It's a bit expensive, so for special occasions, but they really go above and beyond every time. Their customer support is amazing. They're really knowledgeable and do their best to accommodate special requests. Will definitely order again.
I only buy meat from T&G now
Their customer service is brilliant 😃 I've used them a few times now, once they had ran out of seasoning, left a note apologising and included an alternative, then today I had mentioned not to worry about the seasoning as I had loads left so I got extra bacon instead! 🤗 Or maybe I got extra bacon as I was a returning customer. Either way, I'm happy 🤩 oh and yes, also their meats are SOOO much better than the supermarkets, always come out juicy and tender, and I've never had a problem with the delivery - always within the window and meats always cold 👌🏽 I only buy meat from Turner & George now.
I have had Dairy meat before and…
I have had Dairy meat before and thoroughly enjoyed it but I was very disappointed with the four steaks that I purchased from Turner and George. I am an ex chef and I like my steaks cooked Rare/Medium Rare. The steaks were prepared at room temperature, seasoned, cooked at a high heat and rested before eating. I found the steaks to be much tougher than expected, the amount of bone made the edible portion quite small and consequently made the purchase very expensive at £15 per steak.
I will definitely have dairy meat again, but not from Turner and George.
I am disappointed: meat arrived warm
I am disappointed. I placed an order of enough meat for the entire weekend. I received the delivery today, as expected, but sadly the meat was at room temperature and had certainly been above a safe range for some time, as all the ice packs had melted and were not cold anymore.
Incidentally, the delivery also had a missing item, which happened before.
No one answers the phone, which is not reassuring as, ideally, I'd like to have the order shipped again for delivery tomorrow.

Just received my order from Turner and…
Just received my order from Turner and George and am (currently) very disappointed with the service.
I expressly(in bold and with exclamation marks) made it clear to not send me a trimmed, lean cut as a decent layer of fat is what makes the cut. This is how the cut is shown in the photo on-line and in the blurb to support the product.
What I received was the leanest cut of rump cap I have ever been delivered with a paper thin layer of fat and indeed trimmed in some places
I am not clear how we go from an advertised cut including photo to support the product as well as a stipulated requirement to keep the fat to the opposite on delivery.
I look forward to a response from customer support and will keep you posted

Fabulous Steaks
We Get steaks delivered every week ( up in Scotland ) as an ex chef and owner of a steakhouse I do know a bit about steaks etc and these guys steaks are second to none - quite expensive but you get what you pay for

Excellent meat. We’re had so many “OMG that’s amazing” meals with their meat. We have appreciated online ordering and delivery so much during the pandemic lockdown. And the one time the courier service messed up, Turner and George we quick to resend my order and deal directly with the courier service. I am looking forward to being able to head to their shop again to ogle at the meat in the windows!
Meat ordered online arrived warmer than safe range
I really hate leaving reviews like this but I felt as if I didn’t have any choice in this case...
I ordered some fresh beef online from T&G and upon delivery I found only a single completely melted cool pack in the package with no insulation and the meat itself was 15C which is much warmer than the safe temperature range for fresh meat.
I immediately contacted T&G via email and received no response, so I tried calling, nobody was available to take the call. More than 2 days later, still nothing and still the phone isn’t being answered.
My Easter dinner plans have been ruined and I’m appalled at their willingness to send out meat in such a careless and unsafe way.
Update: T&G reached out to me after they became aware of this review. I was provided with a refund promptly without fuss.

Dear Sirs,
I would like to thank you and your team for the fantastic surprise package {a birthday gift from my daughter} that arrived at my home in Wales last week.
My ‘goodie box’ contained all the ingredients, accompaniments and wine, in the shape of a very nice Claret to ensure my birthday meal of a steak dinner, was indeed special.
The rib-eye beef was the best my husband and I have tasted.The mash was so smooth and buttery, and no you can never have too much butter and the spicing in the spinach took it to another level – divine.
Please could you also thank the person who wrote the hand written ‘happy birthday’ message with smiley face. My daughter says you wouldn’t normally include a message but if you could you would – a lovely much appreciated touch that is making me smile as I type this.
I don’t normally give feedback {too lazy} but everything I have experienced and tasted from your company deserves to be commented on – from delivery, quality, taste and an eye for the overall details I.e. a whole jar of mustard not just a small sample.

We always get our meat from Turner and George. The price is a bit higher but the quality is exceptional and the meat comes from animals that were treated properly.
You can really tell the difference in quality between supermarket meat and theirs on things like mince and chicken, whilst their steaks are sublime.
I would also highly recommend the lamb sirloins. Not a cut you normally find but they are unbelievably good.
