I really cannot say enough good things about Tutor Doctor of North Jersey and Rockland, they are that good! We have used Tutor Doctor to help both of our sons on the ACT & SAT, respectively. While their initial test/practice scores were not bad, given today’s competitive landscape, they both wanted to score higher.

We initially began to work with Tutor Doctor 3 years ago to help my older son increase his ACT scores. Through their hard work and proven methods, he was able to increase his score by 30%, allowing him to get accepted at all his chosen schools. We were so impressed by Tutor Doctors’ program, methods and choice of tutors, we did not hesitate to work with them again to help our younger son achieve as high a score as possible on his SAT. When we got back the results, we are over the moon, as he scored in the top 6% of the SAT on his first time taking it! Needless to say, we are ecstatic with our relationship with Tutor Doctor, and are so thoroughly and completely satisfied with their services.

The best part about their approach is how personalized it feels. Upon contacting Tutor Doctor, Jessica Bush (whom we adore) will schedule a meeting with the student and the parents. This is to gain a better understanding of the student in order to (a) help determine which test is best; (b) to successfully address any concerns the student or parents may have; and (c) to determine which tutor is a best fit from both a personality and goal perspective. Through this meeting, we figured out that Mark B. (whom we also adore) was the best fit for both of our sons. Mark (as well as all the tutors, I’m sure) was wonderful. His approach was fantastic - reassuring but direct. He got the best out of them without letting them goof off, all in a supportive manner. Obviously, it worked!

Also, Jessica is simply wonderful to work with. She will work with each family to come up with a plan that makes the whole process (financial, tutor selection, session scheduling, etc.) feel seamless. If you want to see a noticeable increase in the performance of your student, you’d be crazy to not let Tutor Doctor help you achieve your goals!

We contacted Tutor Doctor, hoping that they could find a suitable tutor to support our 7 year old daughter.
We were told that 48 hours of tutoring at a cost of £2,880 would need to be paid upfront before our daughter could even be introduced to a tutor.
Their exact words were
"We don’t offer that option of doing a shorter period, unfortunately. It will need to be a minimum of 48 hours up front. We do accept credit card payments, so that’s an option if it makes it more manageable."
We would strongly recommend not using Tutor Doctor.

I found tutor doctor when I was searching online for IGCSE tutor for my year 11 child. I was so desperate at that time to find a good tutor. And tutor doctor was a life saver. First, they had to interview my child to understand what learning method is best for her and to find a matching teacher. Luckily, the teacher was the best. She helped my child to progress very well in a short time. I regret the time I have wasted before looking for someone to help my child in science. My daughter got back her confidence and progressed really well. There are 2 things I wish tutor doctor can do: First, to post Ads on social media so more parents would know about them, Second, to be more flexible with the number of classes needed by different individuals.

I have been happy with the services of both the administration and the tutor. It is expensive but it has been worth it so far. The tutor is very knowledgable.

Our daughter is a fiery little one with very little patience but with great perseverance our tutor, Jo in Richmond, has been able to teacher her so much this year. Above and beyond what she’s been able to retain in the past. We are over the moon with her and her patience for helping with our tiny teenager (she’s 6). Based on that alone we will definitely be signing up for another year come September. Many thanks and much appreciated.

I am very happy with the service provided by tutor doctor. The maths tutor that was matched to my son has been brilliant so far and my son actually looks forward to his weekly lesson. The pace of learning is matched to my sons needs. I would highly recommend tutor doctor to any of my friends.

I was very happy with the support and guidance that my son got from his tutor Raeis. He was very understanding of my child’s needs. We went to Tutor Doctor to get our 11yo through an entrance exam and also give our 8yo some extra lockdown homeschooling input - we have been very very impressed! Older child properly stretched and abilities found that we never knew he had (and yes he passed the exam!) and younger child more motivated than I’ve ever seen him. All done online and very obvious tailored to each child’s individual learning style (both very different). Would highly recommend Tutordoctor; very easy to organise and because it’s an agency you don’t have to worry if there are any clashes - you pay for your hours and can switch it up if necessary.

I am the parent of autistic girls, 11 & 14, who encountered extreme difficulty fitting into mainstream education, to the point that their academic and mental development was deteriorating in spite of their EHCP’s, they were falling behind and had lost engagement. We concluded to home educate, but acknowledged the importance of needing to build their relationship and trust with an external third party in order to prepare them long-term. We approached Piyush Gupta at Tutor Doctor who listened to our needs and worked with us to provide what is now proving to be an essential part my childrens academic and emotional development, and self confidence.
Within 18 months our girls have moved from being 2-3 years behind to working at age appropriate material in math and English, with a much better grasp, understanding and are retaining information. We have seen a significant improvement in their self belief and confidence, with enthusiasm and engagement to learn new and difficult information.
Our Tutor, Kimberley, has worked hard to build a trusting and patient relationship with our girls, she is committed, engaging, perceptive and creatively responsive to both the girls needs and abilities. Kimberley is fundamental in their learning and development, and how she teaches them will stay with them for a lifetime.

Our tutor was very personalized to what my son needed to keep him on task for school in these weird pandemic times. They found someone that was in our comfort level for safety and that my 6 yo responds to very well. It has been worth every cent to use this service.

I've used TD for both math tutoring and ACT prep. I feel that my son's math tutor was a perfect match to his personality. Someone that could push him but also encourage him. And the ACT prep was fantastic...told my son exactly what he needed to work on. Invaluable help!

Simon at Tutor Doctor in North London is an excellent tutor, really engages with each of my children and crucially they love the sessions with him. They have learnt lots of new skills and techniques in English creative writing that will be useful for years to come.
