Very expensive. Moreover, the teacher can only work according to a manual, doesn’t want to adjust to child’s needs. All children are different and it’s quite unprofessional to teach them all the same... See more

Kieran was really great in bringing out the capability in our autistic son. He was incredibly patient and understanding and worked hard to enable our son to express his ability verbally where sitting a written an exam had been a struggle given his communication issues. I would highly recommend Tutor Doctor if your child has learning issues.

terrible service
Used this company for over a year. Initially was very good then the company was taken over and became dreadful. Phone calls and emails were not answered. The Last tutor was inexperienced with poor teaching skills and all efforts to feed back were ignored. They still owe me money for lessons where the tutor failed to turn up. Please avoid at all costs there are other companies that provide a far superior service. This company happy to take your money for no service. I am reporting to ofsted

A very expensive service for not much
A very expensive service for not much. After an impressive first meeting with a salesperson we bought 36 hours at an excruciatingly expensive price. All we got is a tutor, a good one, but nothing else. No monitoring of our child's progress, no assessment, no strategy, just whatever the tutor has planned. Very disappointing. If you can, use another company.

I have had tutors for my son before but…
I have had tutors for my son before but have never experienced anything like this. I required an experienced alevel chemistry teacher to teach my son and for the steep price of £50 an hour I thought I would get this. Instead I received someone who had just left uni and had no idea of teaching instead he wrote down everything on his mind about a topic not asking questions not testing my son on anything. He even accidentally told my son university things and my son told him that he didn’t need to know that. He didn’t have a clue how to teach. Worse than this is the fact you pay £50 to set it up. £50 just to chat with the tutor to see if they are the right fit!! And then £50 every time you don’t give 48 hours notice. I understand this however the tutor himself cancelled a few times very short notice!! And yet nothing happened about that. And the time I did cancel was when he tried to get my son to do 3 sessions in one week when I was away and my son said he had work that day and probably couldn’t get rid of work the tutor but him down as a maybe and then on the day ( when my son found out ) he told the tutor he couldn’t get rid of his shift at work so the tutor charged me £50 even tho he told the tutor he probably couldn’t do that day! He was clearly trying to get as much money out of my son has possible as in the initial meeting I told the tutor I only wanted to pay for 1 hour a week which is all I can afford at the moment. So this £150 in one week really set me back! I thought the tutor would listen to that not try and make as many sessions as he could when I was away. PARENTS DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY THEY DO NOT EMPLOY TEACHERS JUST UNI STUDENTS!!
ITS A SCAM!!

Esther who has worked with our daughter (aged 20), who is exteremly dyslexic, for the last 2 years is an outstanding tutor. She is so much more than a tutor helping with literacy she has given her confidence, life skills and has exceeded our expectations in every way.

Mackayla is an exceptional tutor who brings knowledge and fun to our young daughter’s weekly sessions. In both math and French, our child is well ahead of her grade but most importantly, Mackayla has fostered a love of math and keeps our child engaged.
