Warning-Do Not Use This Moving Company

My moving experience on June 28, 2025, was profoundly disappointing. The three-hour quote for moving a small number of items was initially excessive, yet the actual service was plagued by incompetence. Despite explicit discussions with customer service regarding TV removal from wall mounts, the crew declined to perform this service, citing lack of knowledge. This necessitated my injured husband's involvement to complete tasks we had paid for. Additionally, significant time was lost due to the crew's inability to efficiently disassemble furniture. My husband had to guide the movers on bed disassembly, essentially wasting valuable time. Further issues arose when they (Kenneth C.) demanded an additional waiver for TV boxes, prompting my husband to transport the TVs himself. Throughout the move, one mover (Kenneth C.) was frequently absent and seen vaping, while the others struggled. The overall lack of professionalism and efficiency was unacceptable. Most concerning, a mattress was damaged during the move, and the subsequent damage report was misleadingly documented as "prior to move damage," despite an acknowledgement of responsibility from the mover Kenneth C. During the process, I was presented with an electronic document to sign. I signed this document under duress, believing it to be a reimbursement claim, only to discover later it was a prior damage waiver in addition to agreeing I was satisfied with all services rendered. This experience was far from professional and extremely unethical.

Following a written complaint and a request to speak with the owner, I was contacted by Operations Manager Dale K. on July 2, 2025. During our discussion, I requested a reimbursement of $540 for 2.25 hours, compensating for the time spent waiting for my husband's arrival at the move site and assisting the movers along with repairs to the damaged mattress. Dale assured me he would discuss this with his team and process the refund.

To date, I have not received a follow-up from Dale, despite sending additional emails and making several phone calls. My last attempt to reach the office at (513) 769-6683, the number provided in the email correspondence between myself, Dale K. (Operations Mgr.), Jordan K. (Franchise Mgr.), and George D. (Owner), was on July 10, 2025, was disconnected.

Bad business

If I could give them a 0 I would! I scheduled an appointment Thursday morning for Saturday from (12-3pm) junk removal pick up time. I called at 2:15pm to check on the status to make sure I didn’t get forgotten about the receptionist originally informed me “yep your still on the schedule for today” and mentioned she will have them call me, I never received that phone call . I called again at 4pm the receptionist again informed me she will have them call me, I never received that phone call. I called again at 4:45pm being that they close at 5pm and my phone call did not go through! I sat at home alllll day waiting on them when I had errands to take care of. Here it is 8pm I haven’t heard from ANYONE. This place is very unprofessional and has lack of communication.I would NOT recommend this company! I was going to deal moving business with them as well but the way this ended I’m good I’ll take my services elsewhere!

They Broke and Lost Items

This review is for the Burlington franchise. I would give them zero stars if I could. First of all, in an attempt to disassemble a desk that my dad gifted to my son, Blake Paiement broke it beyond repair. When I inquired about having it fixed, Jerry Kerner told me that fixing it would only happen if I paid a $250 deductible fee. The desk was sentimental - it isn't worth $250 to fix. In addition to this, Curtis and Blake lost two items - a corner cabinet and a vacuum cleaner - insisting that they were not on the truck and that we didn't do a good enough job with our walk through at the house that we moved from. Yes, they blamed us. We found these items hours later next to an elevator on the first floor. DO NOT GO WITH THIS MOVING COMPANY - If they break or lose something, they will not own up to it or make themselves accountable for it.

Dependability gains trust, and they are not that.

3 years ago they moved me into my apartment and were exceptional. I came back to move with them again, recieved the same time quote as before which made sense since they were moving all the same items. Needless to say, they took more than double the time they did 3 years ago. To be fair, they did need to unassembled and reassemble my wayfair bed. I figured that would take an added hour. Instead, it took 3.5 hours.
One of the movers did not move without the other, so I caught him standing around doing nothing several times. Since the bill was racking up more than double what I anticipated, I went into the truck and moved all my boxes and remaining furniture myself.
They broke a shelf in my new home, caused damage to my bed and didn't tell me, nor did they assemble it correctly.
Moving is already stressful, and they added to that stress.
I was told I'd receive a call to fix the shelf within 72 hours. I hadn't heard back in a week, so I wrote my survey. I got 1 email in response that corporate was looking into my complaint. Another week goes by and no response, no phone call, nothing. I then reached out to another form of communication, as I felt ghosted and like there was no urgency with my case.
Finally they called after I reached out 4 times. They offered to knock off 10%. Read that again.
This is a team that took more than twice the amount of time as before, all while moving the same pieces as before.
I am in customer service, and the reasonable action to have taken for a return customer would have been to call me with haste and intention, apologize, and offer to honor the quoted price. Had they done that, I would have been pleased.
Instead I wait, wait, wait, and am offered a 10% refund. I am at tears with a heavy bill I am struggling to pay, having to fix my shelf they broke since they didn't contact me regarding that within a reasonable amount of time, and am now in search of a new bed frame, not sure how I will afford that either.
This has been so disappointing. To go from such exceptional service to delinquency, I cannot stress enough that you do not know which end you will fall on with this company, and for that I am giving 1 star, as dependability and consistency with any company is what gains customer trust and respect.

Don’t use this company!

Two men and a truck were the worst and slowest I've ever used. I called their office on Saturday to let them know I'd be 10min late (3:40pm) to get to my old place and asked them to tell the movers to wait at my place, accepting Id be charged for the standby time. When I got to my old place they were not there and they didn't show up until 4:00pm, however the one mover charged me from 3:30. They had three items, a mechanical queen bed, a couch and a headboard. Their own website quoted this at 2hrs in total with the travel in between places, however they took 3 hours 45 minutes in total. They complained that I should have got four people to have the bed moved, even though their website said two people were appropriate and the previous moving company I used only took two men, without complaining, to move the bed. When they loaded the last item I told them I'd meet them at my new residence and drove ahead. It took me 24min to get to my new place and they arrived 57min after I left. The one worker asked to use my washroom, which was fine but when I turned around he had the door left wide open as he used the washroom and that door was adjacent to the door of my apartment suite, which they had wide open to move in. Besides all that the men were slower than any other movers I've used. Expect an hour and a half to two hours more than quoted, unprofessional movers with a bad attitude and a large bill.

Simple to scary, no leadership or ownership, but at least we took breaks 😑

I’m writing to share my experience with this moving company in hopes of helping others avoid the same situation. My move from La Crosse, Wisconsin to Woodbury, Minnesota should have been a relatively straightforward studio apartment move — no beds, no appliances, no large furniture. Just boxes, books, a small couch, and a coffee table. What I ended up with was one of the most frustrating and disappointing service experiences I’ve encountered — marked by poor communication, hidden charges, concerning employee behavior, and zero accountability from management.

The movers were scheduled to arrive between 8:00 and 10:00 AM. We received no communication until 10:30 AM, and they didn’t show up until 10:50. Work didn’t begin until about 11:10. Yet at the end of the job, they claimed they arrived at 10:30 and billed us accordingly. Despite the clear discrepancy, no time adjustments were made. To make matters worse, the movers took an extended stop at QuickTrip during the move — over 20 minutes — which they also charged as part of their service time. That stop, along with bathroom breaks and idle time, were fully billed as if they were actively moving items.

Before the move, I received a written estimate of 2 to 4 hours of service. What wasn’t clearly explained was that this “service time” included the entire 2.5-hour drive from La Crosse to the Twin Cities — leaving only 45 minutes for loading and 45 minutes for unloading. That is completely unrealistic. I was quoted approximately $2,000, which aligned with their original $1,800–$2,300 estimate, and I signed off on that in good faith. But at the end of the move, I was stunned to receive a final bill of $3,150 — well above the quoted range and over $1,000 more than what I was told to expect.

When I asked how the charges had escalated so much, I was told, “This happens all the time.” The movers blamed the company’s estimators, saying they never ask the right questions and regularly misquote the scale of the job. They even gave examples of jobs where people claimed to have four rooms of items but actually had a full house, requiring multiple trucks and additional days of labor. From their perspective, this disconnect is standard — and it’s customers who pay the price for that broken process.

Beyond the billing issues, the conduct of one of the movers was extremely concerning. He was visibly angry throughout the move, often disengaged, throwing boxes, slamming equipment, and taking frequent phone calls. At one point he asked to use our restroom and took a 15-minute break. He wasn’t consistently moving items, and his energy was tense and off-putting. At one point, I asked, “Are you okay?” and his answer was:

“I hate my job. I have to do this all the time to people. They never have a good experience. We get no support. We’re the ones stuck disappointing customers all day. I want to find something else.”

That behavior made me feel uncomfortable in my own home. His frustration was clearly real, but it should never spill over into a customer’s experience. The second mover was much more composed and professional — doing his best to move things forward — but it was obvious he was also caught in the tension of a job that had gone off track.

When I asked to speak with a manager, the movers called two people. One finally called back — but refused to speak with me directly and only communicated through the movers. I was told someone would follow up on Monday. That was days ago, and no one has contacted me since.

I’m sharing this not out of bitterness, but to give a clear and honest account of what happened. The lack of transparency around pricing, the miscommunication between departments, and the emotional volatility from one of the movers created an experience I wouldn’t wish on anyone. Moving is already stressful — what you don’t need is an inflated final bill, unsafe energy in your home, and a company that ghosts you once you’ve paid.

If the company is willing to reach out and resolve this, I’m open to that. But more than anything, I want others to know what to expect. Based on what I witnessed and what the movers themselves shared, this is not a one-time issue. It’s a systemic problem. And that’s exactly why it needs to be shared.

CONSUMER WARNING: Overcharges, hidden fees, damaged property

CONSUMER WARNING: Avoid Two Men and a Truck
CONSUMER WARNING:

I was a returning client who hired Two Men and a Truck to handle both the packing and the moving (onto a POD) of my house ahead of a cross-country move. The goal was the pay a professional and well-known crew to take the stress out of moving.

This is not what happened. The company tripled the price of the packing job. The packers were in my house for 14 hours and the job was never completed. But I was required to pay three times the cost of the estimated, a price that included hidden fees.

The packers began at 9 a.m. It was clear they were inexperienced. Two Men and a Truck didn't provide them with oversight they needed to do the job. Throughout the day, they said everything was going well. At 9 p.m., roughly half the house was still not packed and numerous items and expensive pieces of furniture were stained by being left unpacked/unprotected and put into a dirty garage.

We're still accounting all of the damages. But needless to say, this was consumer abuse. I would recommend hiring any other service unless you want to add stress and incur thousands of dollars in hidden fees and damages to your belongings.

Modern day hostage situation

Hired their services to move items already packaged and boxed from an 8 by 20 storage unit to a house roughly 10 minutes away. Was quoted 520 USD for the move which was to take 3 hours. The guys arrived promptly at the agreed to time and began loading. The storage units had a loading ramp and heavy duty flat bed carts to utilize so multiple items could be moved at a time. What should have taken these two guys and me, because I pitched in here and there, an hour or two to load the truck took over 3. There were no stairs or elevators and the loading ramp was at the trucks rear box height. They called in a third guy because they were falling behind on schedule for whatever reason. After the truck was loaded is when the hostage situation happened, I had to agree to extra charges because their estimator something something and they were running behind. So the 500 bucks + turned into double that for an 8 by 20 foot storage unit moving less than 5 miles. I only gave an additional star due to how professional the poor college kid was that was leading the crew. I'd never use them again, I could see a hundred extra bucks, but not double the original estimate.

Two men and a truck ripped me off

Two men and a truck ripped me off. They sent out 2 stoners who broke my 85" TV. They also tore off and broke the siding of the front door in order to avoid taking two (2) steps. They didn't ask if they could remove the siding (which they subsequently broke). They asked if I wanted my TV moved and I said "sure, as long as you don't break it.". They broke it.

I called the GM of the Panama City office to get things straigtened out. I was offered $0.60 per POUND of the 85" TV. I remarked that this amounted to about $125 for a +$2k TV. The GM, Carey Smith, told me he'd follow back up with me but of course never did.

Do yourself a favor and just go with the cheapest mover. You're going to get ripped off anyways, might as well minimize your damages.

Oh, and the two movers tried hitting on my daughter as they left, knowing she was engaged.

4 happy guys in Albuquerque packed my 3…

4 happy guys in Albuquerque packed my 3 bedroom house. I forgot to tip so arrainged a big tip over the phone. Then I found stained glass lampshades with no padding or wrapping smashed in a box on arrival. Canceled the tip. Don't bother with a claim at $0.10 a pound. Read the exceptions before you hire. You can't ship antiques, art, anything fragile or "one of a kind" items.
A bunch of people will be happy to pack your house badly and not care.

Destructive and Unprofessional

Someone on my street hired Two Men and a Truck. They parked in front of my garage, completely blocking my egress. They didn't have to. There was plenty of room on the street for them to park without blocking my driveway. They also damaged the trees in front of my house. They graciously allowed me to get out of my garage so I could run an errand, but they blocked the driveway AGAIN so I couldn't get back in. They ignored me then acted like I was the bad guy when I demanded they move their truck.

Wow how bad and stupid can people be Two Men Truck answer that question

Wow, be prepared to be quoted and overcharged once they get your credit card number they will bill you for everything you have. Not only that. They don’t know how to draw operates. They jammed drawers in back to front so they can’t be removed. They crushed and destroyed objects. By placing heavy things on top of anything basic common sense by placing a lid the same size on a container is beyond the comprehension. These people should be on a government pension because they’ll are below the normal intelligence of a frog. On top of that, they left their lunch wrappers behind. Do not use this company.

An enthusiastic 5 stars…

This crew gets an enthusiastic 5 star review:
Sterling, Christian, Lukas, and Darrick are excellent.

During the entire move, they kept me posted on what they were doing, they wrapped things carefully, even helped me estimate whether or not it would fit in the storage place I'd rented. It was tight - very tight - but they "Tetrissed" it in and I couldn't be happier.

They came in about $200 under estimate, another bonus.

I'll be using this company from any future moves.

Poor customer service

I was provided a quote for my move. I explained to the customer service representative very clearly that we were planning to close and move on the same day so there may be delays with receiving the keys for unloading. She assured me that they would be able to store our items overnight for a $300 additional fee NO PROBLEM. I booked the move based on these assurances. Another representative followed up to confirm less than a week before the move. I called to reconfirm that there would be no issues with the overnight hold at which point I was told they could not accommodate the overnight hold. They were now fully booked and I would need to store the items at my own cost for 4 days and pay double the move quote for unloading and reloading. This information was conveniently conveyed after the cancellation deadline. While I’m happy to pay a cancellation fee when it’s warranted, I was completely misled by the customer service representatives and I’m now out $900 and have had to scramble last minute to book with another company.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

I was given a quote for a move, which I paid. When the guys showed up, I was told I had to tip them each $100 or they would charge me more. Could only be done by cash or cash transfer (Zelle). I sent $300 to one of the guys. 5 minutes later, another $500 transfer was made from my account to the same guy without my authorization. All attempts to recover my money have been met with fake attention & LIES. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
