The uber driver was lovely but while booking her, Uber also charged me a cancellation fee. Then I got many many idiot emails from Uber. My bank reversed the fraudulent charge. Not the first time this happened. Never using Uber again
Quoted Price Highly Unrealistic
Used Uber in Dublin, where fares are shown in an estimated price range.
They never come inside the range and are always more expensive. I’m surprised the local Advertising Standards Agency equivalent haven’t investigated. Drivers are great, but Uber itself is absolutely at it. Shame they have a monopoly or I’d avoid.
Sometimes os a scam!scam
Sometimes os a scam!! Specially in train stations where is a specific taxi line; so the driver sneak in to the station park stays there for 5-6 minutes and he cansels as now shown;the trip while you waiting in the taxi line!

I'll never use it again they charge me for cancelation I didn't require
Disgusting fraudulent service
Disgusting fraudulent service. Issue with app and card payment meant was offered cash payment option. After paying cash for ride my card was then charged 2 weeks later for failed card payments that were payed by cash. Told by customer service Uber cashless service then in same message that cash payment was an option available in my area but they would not refund my card for rides payed in cash and then taken from my card as the cash payments were a private transaction with the driver, even though I used the pay by cash option on the Uber app available to me

These people try to get all your information to sell 3rd party's when all your doing is asking for a price no I don't want to open a uber account with my card connected to so you can help yourself as and when. Worst taxi company ever. Their vetting system is rubbish anyone can be a uber pedophile murder kidnappers. All sorts of weirdos
Overcharged by £100
Overcharged by £100 , I got a text from uber and it was confirmed by the bank they took 2 charges for the same trip but Uber is refusing to refund after I made 10 phonecalls and they gave me an email that was invalid. It is a rip off. How are they allowed to overcharge and not refund us.
Terrible company with terrible service
Terrible company with terrible service. Monopolizing Canada. Should be ashamed of their way of conduct. If you can, choose another company.
Illegal subscription without authorization from me!
These unfiar people decided in the dead of night after a order of food that whilst I was asleep, to charge me an ongoing rate of €8,99 for a subscription I did NOT order.
What's worse, somehow they managed to grab a hold on my ex's paypal that was apparently linked still to my phone. And charged her account!
This is not legal on so many fronts, and there's no call center to call either!
Seriously contemplating contacting a lawyer regarding this illegal subscription unless UBER contacts me within 40 hours.
Cancelling trips AND DONATING TO TRUMP
Cancelling trips, hiking prices when it's busy, amateur drivers, AND DONATING TO TRUMP
Uber support allows driver scams
I was subject to a scam by a driver who didn’t end my ride. The support won’t do anything nor will they explain why they won’t do anything. I receive generic messages saying they won’t adjust the fair.

What a joke
This is not a service that I will wanted to use anymore! Been with uber for more than 5 years as a rider and as a driver…. They are horrible….i was thinking that only the drivers have problems with the customer service but which I’m seen here is both… is a completely joke and is my last time when I’m using them
Absolute abominable service
Absolute abominable service. Never ever will I use uber again. App deleted. I wanted to travel from Earlswood to Leatherhead, I was told £30 and 11 minutes. 25 minutes later having already took my money, they are still allocating a driver.
I then rang a local taxi company, spoke to a human, asked for a taxi from mine to my Nans, it was £25 so £5 cheaper and they text me immediately to confirm booking, text when he was in his way and a link with a map and colour/make model of vehicle. Was a much better experience overall. Uber is dead to me.
Worst customer service ever
I’m completely shocked and frustrated by what happened during a professional trip to Las Vegas. On November 16, 2024, at 7:50 AM, my colleague and I ordered an Uber from our Airbnb to our exhibition destination—a short 10-minute ride. We loaded all of our bags, containing over $2,000 worth of important belongings for the day, into the car’s trunk. These items were essential for the exhibition we were attending.
When we arrived at our destination, we got out of the car and went to retrieve our bags from the trunk. However, to our absolute disbelief, the driver drove away without giving us a chance to take our belongings. The driver, who was Hispanic and didn’t seem to understand English, sped off, leaving us in complete shock. My colleague ran after the car, but it was too late.
I immediately tried to contact Uber customer service to report the incident and get in touch with the driver, but there was no immediate way to reach him. The entire ordeal turned into a nightmare. I didn’t have access to an American phone number to call Uber directly, so I had to borrow one. When I finally managed to speak to someone at Uber customer service, the experience was horribly frustrating. The employees on the line couldn’t seem to understand or communicate in English. I had to repeat my phone number and email address over and over again—for more than an hour—because they couldn’t spell it correctly, even though I was spelling it out for them slowly and clearly.
At one point, I honestly started to believe that Uber hires people who don’t understand English just to frustrate customers enough to give up on filing complaints. I ended up wasting my entire business day on the phone with customer service, trying to get them to understand my situation and contact the driver. After multiple calls, they finally managed to reach the driver. However, they told me he didn’t speak English, so they needed a translator to communicate with him, which would take more time.
I stressed to them that this was an urgent situation. We were leaving Las Vegas in two days and had no idea if we’d ever get our belongings back. I even asked for the driver’s direct phone number so I could handle it myself, but Uber refused to provide it. My only option was to sit and wait, with absolutely no updates or assurance about whether we’d get our bags back.
The whole day passed with no response from Uber or the driver. It wasn’t until 10 PM—over 14 hours later—that the driver handed our bags to a friend of mine who has an American phone number and speaks Spanish. Thankfully, we got everything back, including a GoPro, high-quality portable batteries, and other valuables. At that point, I was just relieved to have our belongings and decided to move on, even though the experience was horrendous.
But then, today, I received a message from Uber customer service that left me completely speechless. In the message, they informed me that they had added a $20 fee to my ride to *compensate the driver* for the time it took him to return our luggage—and even encouraged me to leave him a tip to thank him! I couldn’t believe it. After all the stress, wasted time, and frustration, they had the audacity to charge me extra for a situation that was entirely the driver’s fault.
I’ve already explained this incident to Uber countless times: the driver left without giving us a chance to retrieve our belongings. His actions caused us to lose an entire day and put us through unnecessary stress and worry. I even told them that I considered reporting the incident to the police, as it was essentially theft. Yet, despite all of this, Uber thought it was appropriate to reward the driver and charge me extra.
I’m beyond exhausted from having to repeat this story over and over again to Uber’s customer service, only for them to completely disregard the facts. This was, by far, the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. I used to be a satisfied Uber customer, but this incident has completely changed my opinion.
Thanks for taking the time to read this, and honestly, bye Uber.
My son left his watch and other items…
My son left his watch and other items in the taxi. Driver confirmed he had them and demanded £50 to return. We are now unable to contact the driver, have complained to Uber and the customer service is absolutely useless. Just called them again as this has been going on for a month now and after 10 minutes, they have put the phone down on me. Absolutely disgraceful service
The driver crashed into my wall and…
The driver crashed into my wall and drove off, reported to the police and I am now taking court action, customer service is no use at all they deny everything however I have full CCTV footage. Make sure you take it all the way if they are in the wrong, and do not let them wear you down the BS, thanks Ian
