Found very easy to complete information online and saved £132.00 on our previous Insurance company quote.

Excellent service after I spoke with the Senior Partnership officer who reminded me I could seek independent legal advice for an employment issue through my home insurance. I simply called the UIA direct telephone number and within an hour I received outstanding advice which enabled me to negotiate a settlement with my employer - a massive thank you and I would certainly recommend UIA.

No problem with obtaining a quote on line; we requested the documents be sent out by post and these were sent out straight away

Efficient, excellent policy, competitively priced.

Simple and easy to access, no problem entering personal details, very fast quote. Almost £250 cheaper than Barclays who I have used for the past five years.

I swapped to UIA a couple of years ago after my insurer for the previous 22 years started price-gouging. I found UIA's pricing to be very fair compared to much of the competition. For me another plus is their association with the trades union movement, particularly in these rather dark times.

Their renewal process is straightforward and the 'add ons' nature of the policy is easy to follow. I've usually found their call handlers helpful and friendly.

Fortunately I have not needed to make any claims on my policy yet, so can't speak as to how well this would be dealt with.

My only slight reservation was when I needed to contact the legal helpline (I have legal cover on my policy) over a consumer protection issue. I felt the advice given was a little unclear. The matter did however appear to resolve itself, so I didn't need to pursue it.

I would certainly suggest UIA to anyone considering their options as to which insurer to use.

Total FRAUD! had home insurance, and continued with renewals (they doubled the amount in 3 years!)
Sent emails for renewals but never mentioned details of premium in email!!! STAY AWAY!!!!
I have already made several complaints to them to no avail and finally decided to drop them today! good riddance to bad rubbish!!!

Straight forward renewal process with excellent policy cover

Renewal time for my building and content insurance, my premium only went up by£10 so I'm happy with this

I bought the policy online which was fairly straightforward with not too many questions.I had been with UIA for a number of years until last year when I thought the renewal price was too high, particularly as I had not claimed. I'm glad their prices are more competitive and interest free monthly payments is a bonus

I have tried for 3 days to get through to your claims department. Spent hours on the phone,left 4 messages & sent 2 emails for you to contact me re: starting a claim on my 89 years old father in laws household policy.
Why are you not responding???
I have never had such a hard time trying to get through to any company as I have with UIA MUTUAL !

I had a helpful claims advisor, Tiana who is now handling my case.

I have changed my rating from 1to 3.

everything went well although i would of expected an email with my documents included, instead of having to log back into the web site to retrieve my documents

GMB recommendation with 40% off Home insurance.
Worked out Half the price Barclays were about to charge for a renewal.

Not had any dealings with claims so cannot testify to service but at this price, and GMB affiliation, I'm onto a winner.
