Phoned in about a water escape on 2nd…

Phoned in about a water escape on 2nd May, its now July 15th and we haven't even had a heater or anything installed yet to dry the place. Fed up chasing this company for updates to see what is happening with our claim. Now have 3 small children in a damp kitchen. One with a heart condition and one with asthma. It's disgusting being left for so long and when we phone we are passed from pilar to post. I also asked what would be happening with our washing machine as we don't have anywhere to put it when driers eventually arrive and was told very patrioisingly "not doing washing for 2 days isn't really an inconvenience!" Considering the surveyor stated the driers would need to be in at least 2-3weeks 24/7 and my machine won't be able to be plugged in, as the escape is where my washing machine usually sits and theres no other space in the house for it, I consider that a huge inconvenience as a family of 5 with 3 small children!!

**Edited to answer reply- yes scope of works was received eventually and excess has been paid in full by us, yet still nothing started on the actual damp- no drying started still as of 23rd July. Have already sent 3 separate emails to the address posted in your reply and not had a reply back so not much point sending another now- this seems to be the best way to get attention from this company!

A perfect offer

I was previously with Saga. This year, after 4 years, they demanded a 50% increase after no claims and no changes to my circumstances. Very timely I had just received an offer from UIA with my Unison Newsletter which was approximately the same as I had been paying previously to Saga with the same individual insurance provisions. I contacted the company and they kindly confirmed their offer and it was a ‘no brainier’ offer fo me to accept.

Great customer service

Great customer service and easy to renew or really helpful in keeping me covered between two properties as I was moving. Competative pricing due to being a mutual company.

New Policy

I forgot to re-new my policy last year and so had to go through the process of starting a new policy for this year. The advisor was very helpful and I now have a new policy in place. Very helpful great service!

Got through to receptionist in 15 mins

Got through to receptionist in 15 mins, passed over yo travel insurance to speak to someone over 30 mins waiting for someone to answer. Not too good 45 mins all told as I'm writing this. insurance paid got no policy number no documents can't get them on the phone always too busy, can't leave a message. UIA web site makes you feel as if your buying a product from them, be warned your not. Rock insurance is the company that handles travel insurance. But be careful no documents have been sent so far. They got my money. I would like acknowledgement. Thank you

Most cheerful and helpful lady at the…

Most cheerful and helpful lady at the stevenage branch, so awful I can't remember her name. We had a bit of a giggle she came across down to earth and personable. And there I was thinking customer service was dead in these days.

Alison or Debbie perhaps was her name, oh goodness I've a brain like a sieve right now. Anyway, If she remembers me I'm the lady who had been bought a new kitten by her daughter. If I'm right the rep had mentioned her husband lets her do the lottery as she always wins a little something.

Well she's definately one a fan here.
