I should have read other reviews before buying this. The battery just slips out of the bottom support making the harness useless. I just gave up and used the pole cutter without the harness.

It's well made , the back plate is a bit stiff. You definitely need it as the pole chain saw is heavy . However the waist step is is very short . Can't fasten it with the pole rest directly in front of me . I'm not that big around the waist and the strap simply is not long enough for a comfortable fell .

This item failed on only the third time I used it. One of the straps pulled away from the main body of the harness rendering it useless. I have asked for a replacement but have not heard anything yet.

Unfortunately it really does not do what it should. The designers do not appear to have discussed the requirements of the user with the users back to the drawing, I'm afraid.

I thought this would help to use the long pole hedge trimmer as it’s very heavy. The assembly instructions for the harness are minimal and the design is poor. The support allows the trimmer to slip off especially with the big battery and the chest strap makes the edges of the shoulder straps dig in.

This harness is well made but does not hold battery secure it’s basically a slippy shelf to hold the battery, I was hoping it would be a snug sheath to hold the unit but it’s far from ideal This needs more design work as in its form at moment the battery is able to slip out very easily so in my opinion is not worth spending money on , this then makes the pole hedge trimmer I brought if for to carry the weight also extremely hard to use.

Although the harness arrived with a missing buckle, the Ryobi team reacted exceptionally and compensated me for the missing part. The harness, now complete, performs well and, in my case, is essential to support my pole pruner and hedge trimmer.
