Abysmal, comedy of errors
Abysmal, comedy or errors, would be zero stars (or negative) if that was an option.
Problems started with installation which had the following issues:
1. Installed 10mm too low so not flush with floor (blamed builder)
2. Didn't seal properly along the bottom so in came cold air and ants
3. Missing a piece of plastic seal in the door so let in quite a lot of cold air
4. Door sagged over time so either could not open or could not close
5. Centre panel air seal failed and condensation appeared inside
Their customer service when attempting to address these involved:
A. Arguing that it wasn't their fault
B. Insisting that they couldn't do anything until I provided them with something that they knew I couldn't provide (for example the position of the "datum point" that had been marked by them but covered over by installing the door)
C. Addressing issues in a manner that resulted in them recurring again later
D. Arguing that something in the warranty that was only covered for 5 years, which wasn't the actual problem, was the problem so the 10 year warranty didn't cover it
I held off writing a bad report for 5 years but D. was the final straw.
I recommend avoiding these people like the plague. The combination of:
i. Poor manufacturing
ii. Woeful installation
iii. Nasty (verging on underhand) customer service
Should be enough to persuade anyone to find a more reputable vendor.
Loose Inner Bifold Door Handle…
Had an issue with a loose inner handle on our bifold which were installed by our builder 6 years ago. I spoke to a team member who provided me with a contact email address. I emailed and received a response the same day. The guidance allowed me to fix the issue myself. When we have requested additional parts this too has been dealt with quickly and efficiently.
Shocking customer service avoid this company
My heart is sinking as I read the reviews on here - I have a problem with my doors and my experience reflects many on here of shocking customer service and no interest in resolving my issue. This company should be shut down. I have complained to FENSA and am going to complain to every other organisation I can find until something is done to stop these cowboys from trading.
Poor after sales service
The original installation went ok. However when one door started catching, the repair team came out and just used a grinder to take off some of the bottom edge of the door and in the process cut in to the sill! The door handle is very poor and the second one is on its way out. I now have two broken air vent covers (plastic strips) that they want to charge me £60 to send out!

Extremely poor aftersales and worthless warranty
We have two sets of doors from UK Bifold. The doors look great, and were maintained according to the recommendations provided by UK Bifold in their documentation, purchased with a 10 year warranty.
However when the door mechanisms failed (under warranty) UK Bifold refused to honour the warranty, suggesting that because we had not paid them to have the doors serviced by them each year (not mentioned as a requirement in the warranty) that they "were under no obligation to honour any warranty" and we should "claim under household insurance".
We paid for a locksmith to come and fix the mechanisms and inspect the installation and he was shocked by how poorly the mechanisms had been installed. Grub screws not fixed in place and obviously poor quality product and installation.
After sales care is non-existent for this company and after our experience, I would caution anyone in buying products from UK BiFold.

The installation team were rude. They caused damage to my house and then denied it, the white frames arrived scratched and refused to replace them.
Once you give them your money they are not interested in you. They don't answer the phone and just fob you off.

I have a set of very expensive Rayners doors, which the handle keeps breaking on, having now spoken to Rayners I have been advised that the handle is not a Rayners handle but a cheap black double glazed window handle.

Extremely Poor Customer Service
The customer service is non existent once you have departed with your money - and this is not a cheap product.
The main issue with my 5x bi fold doors is that the door stop does not work and so if it is a windy day it slams the door. It is not designed to hold the folded door in place. The door also falls slightly over time and scrapes the frame. I also thing they should have included a pull/door knob on the first door as without it the door handle is taking the strain and this too has weakended. When this was raised with the company they tried to blame me......
This company should invest a little more in ensuring their customers are looked after post install.
I would not use them again and do not recommend them.
I had these doors fitted august 2016…
I had these doors fitted august 2016 when I had my extension done. At the time I signed that doors were delivered in good working order however they only gave 1 key. When I brought this to their notice I was told someone would look into it and call back. Now I am told that I should have mentioned it in the delivery satisfaction report. How ridiculous is that? I even offered to get a set copied at a nominal fee but they refused. So will not recommend them.
The after sales care is awful
The after sales care is awful - almost non-existent. Don't fall for the sales patter and promise of yearly service. And, be prepared to be ignored when you to try and contact them with a problem. In fact, avoid at all costs.

I did loads of research before buying …
I did loads of research before buying our doors and chose UK Bifold because their solution offered a good value offering and I really loved the integrated magnetic blinds. It's been nearly 4 years since we had the doors and since then, while there have been some niggles, their customer service has been phenomenal. This product was the most expensive part of our build so I am relieved that the customer service has been so superb - friendly, efficient and solution focussed with no hidden or extra costs! Let me also add that it is a much better solution to buy a UK based product rather than spend on importing competitor products from other countries!
Aftercare taken care of 👌🏼
We had one 4m bi-fold doors made to measure and fitted by the company to a new kitchen extension.
Unfortunately we had a few small issues, (nothing major) that needed sorting within the first month after fitting. At that point I was concerned that I had chosen the right company!
But an engineer was arranged to rectify the issues and he did an excellent job, he explained everything, gave advice on how to look after the doors etc and rectified the issues.
A real credit to the company, I was questioning if my decision was the correct one for such a high ticket price purchase. But with one visit from someone who 'knows his stuff' this reassured me that we had made the right decision. We also took their fitted price which gives us 10 years aftercare service so we have peace of mind for a long time.
Excellent product
Two bifold doors and a window fitted. The product and the way that they have been installed is exceptional. The fitters were polite, efficient and tidy. I have had work done in the past where more time was spent cleaning up afterwards that the jobs have taken. The fitting staff kept the area tidy whilst working and cleared away their own rubbish. From start to finish communication with the company has been simple and effective.

I found UK BiFold really easy and professional to work with- especially Stacey from sales. I was under no pressure to choose the product that I wanted and given plenty of no obligation quotes. From initial contact right up to the day of delivery, sourcing and purchasing my doors has been a breeze. I would definitely recommend UK BiFold, I already have to multiple friends and colleagues who are now in the planning stage of getting a similar kitchen diner extension to mine. Also, as I was a supply only customer, I felt that I was treated no different to someone who was paying for the full manufacture and install package. Thanks to all the team at UK Bifold I wish you every success for the future.

Fabulous Service! Fabulous doors!
From the initial contact with Stacey in sales it was all perfect! Everything went exactly as promised and they were incredibly accommodating moving appointments due to delays with builders. Everybody I spoke to, dealt with or met was completely professional.
The fitters were great and the end result is just perfect. I have absolutely no hesitation recommending them - have done so already to many people and hope to be using them again myself very soon!
Very poor customer service
I Purchased some bifold doors from uk bifold 3-4 years ago. They were the Rayners system, which came with a ten year guarantee against defects and corrosion.
However 9 months ago the external hinge pins started to corrode and it has taken me 9 months of backwards and forwards, being told there was nothing wrong with the pins by uk bifold. I eventually had to go to the manufacturer Rayners who's technical team confirmed they were faulty and that that would make sure that U.K. Bifold came to replace them.
They can a week ago to replace them however two of the new hinge pins and one of the hinges were damaged durin the process the engineer made a note of this on his job sheet but still there is no sign of them being replaced.
It's a shame as the initial door instal and product were excellent.
I also have my own building company, and have always recommended uk bifold to my customers. However it seems the company have taken a turn for the worse looking at recent reviews and my own experiences lately on my own personal doors and a recent customers doors. I shall not be recommending uk bifold any more.
