I was utterly dismayed to discover that…

I was utterly dismayed to discover that the registration process was incredibly complicated and time-consuming, and then, to make matters worse, I was charged €274 instead of the agreed-upon €23.90. I'm shocked and have already contacted customer service. Unfortunately, I haven't heard back yet. It's appalling to be ripped off like this for trusting such a website. The exorbitant charges were never mentioned anywhere. This is a blatant scam! I hope they get back to me so this can be resolved and I can get my overpaid money refunded.

BEWARE OF THESE SCAM ARTISTS.

BEWARE - this is a shady website. While you click through to fill out the forms, the cost of 20GBP is in bold on every page (which, if you do a quick google, is the amount it should cost, so seems right). It doesn't state actual fees anywhere until you get your credit card notice. I knew immediately that I had been scammed, when the amount they withdrew on my credit card was 525% more than what I was expecting... and contacted them via their webform (because there is no number to call) to cancel and refund the fee. They got back to me and said "sorry - you were already approved so no refunds or cancellations". This is infuriating. So shady. I was charged 125GBP when it should have been 20. STAY AWAY. I think these other 5* reviews are fake. Nobody in their right mind would pay 525% over the usual fee for this service

They charge 150 us dollar for a eta visa to UK of 20 GBP! Unfortunatly i got tricked! Maybe in small letters they mention their fees. Just get your eta on offical website of UK, use your offical website of the country where you are from.

Faulty financial system

Yesterday I was trying to fill out the ETA application through Your website, while I entered my credit card details, the payment did not go through and I cancelled it right away and during this time i did not make any further amendments to the application. However, Your website has charged me despite me not providing detailed confirmation. I do not appreciate being charged with such a large service fee without requiring my consent, furthermore simply providing me with e-mail confirmations of the final status of the application.

I feel cheated

I feel cheated. I searched specifically for the official website on which to apply for an ETA. Unfortunately, I ended up on this site. I had to pay over €100 for an official administrative procedure (ETA). It should have cost a maximum of €23. I only realised the exorbitant fee once the amount had been charged to my credit card. I couldn’t believe it and felt cheated. I also can’t understand how such sites are allowed, even though this is an official administrative process. As a consumer, I was not made aware that I was on a third-party provider's site. Instead, it gave the impression that I was on the official government site.

Following this negative experience, I no longer feel inclined to stay in London. I would strongly advise you not to apply for an ETA through UK ETA Online. In my opinion, it's a scam (at least under German law).

What an absolute scam

What an absolute scam. In a moment of hectic travel at the airport, I applied on the site instead of the official government site. When I wasn’t instantaneously approved at the airport like my husband was, I realized I was not applying through the official site and had to re-do it. When I reached out for support they said that they would not refund me. Go through the official UK government, not whatever this cash grab is.

Problems, but eventually Andy saved the day!

I had a very difficult time submitting the passport and photos. I don't see why they won't accept a scan of a passport; it's as clear as technology can make it. I took many different photos of the passports and submitted them; they were not accepted even though there was no glare, all four corners were showing and the photos met all requirements. Finally a guy named Andy contacgted me and eventually he submitted the photos to complete my application. He was very accommodating and helpful - thank goodness!
