The best birthday present ever

The best birthday present ever! We absolutely love it. The battery life is amazing. 50 minutes of speedy go karting along the Granite Way in Devon before it ran out. It makes people smile everywhere we use it. Excellent build quality, nice and safe UK plug which gives me confidence leaving it plugged in at home. Best purchase ever!

Do not buy from this company!

Do not buy from this company!! I purchased 2 boards for my kids Christmas. Both boards arrived damaged. I sent them back in January and still waiting for replacements!! Absolutely awful customer services.

Read other reviews before purchasing....

Having seen other reviews on customer service and urgency to resolve an issue I wish I hadn't chosen this business.
They wanted the hoverboard photographed to within an inch of ites life before I could send it back.
I had to provide videos of my boy on it to prove he wasn't misusing it. I had to provide a photo to prove the area he was playing on it wasn't a slope (depsite the items being advertised as being usable on sloped/off road/lumps and bumps).
This isn't normal - the item either doesn't work or it does, Don't shift blame onto the customer.
They boast about having the UK's only qualified hoverboard repair team yet don't realise that its just a hoverboard, not a spaceship being sent to mars.

Awful emails telling me what they want me to hear but not responding to my questions regarding having it processed with some urgency or with some kind or speed.

It took over a week for them to confirm the delivery of the hoverboard I sent back was actually recieved (4 days after I emailed to ask if it had arrived despite te tracking info telling me it had been the a 4 days previous to that) so they had it 8 days before doing anything to it - THEN they said it may still be 14 days until the issue is resolved (issue was the battery lasted 30 mins and charger only took 30 mins to charge (both should be a lot longer) - my brain tells me either charger or battery or both are faulty - replace both, job done). However I kept being told that the issue needs to be explored and this could take time.

Genuinley wish I had bought a new battery/charger myself and swapped it out. Plenty of videos about it and how to do it.

Terrible customer service.

Terrible customer service.
Started well, they offered to change the segboard as the colour on the website said it was red but it was infact a dusky pink, they offered to swap for a black one. Since then...
- They have not been very prompt at replying
- The telephone line states they are open from 9.30, I called at 9.50 the other day and phone lines were still closed, this was even worse during the Christmas period up until 6th January when i managed to finally speak with someone on the telephone.
- They gave me a date for delivery and this has changed twice now, first I was told 7 working day's, it has now been 14 working days today, I have been told this morning due to the weather they never sent it out.

This has been ongoing since 23rd December 2024. I still do not have the Segboard for my son although after finally getting a returns label from them and sending it back on 9th Jan (nearly 3 weeks ago).

I now feel like i have no choice but to accept the board as my son has waited long enough for his Christmas present. Once I have the segboard, I will NEVER use this company again and I will do my upmost in telling everyone I know not to purchase from them. It has been shocking.

Trying to return a broken off-road…

Trying to return a broken off-road hoverboard that was a Christmas present looks like a few people have had the same issue . Customer service is slow and only replies to part of the problem that wasn’t apparently to do with them and ignored the part that was .

Appalling!! 2 x Faulty Segway and Karts and no exchange offered!! Christmas ruined for my children!!

I would actually give zero stars if possible! So upset and disappointed. I purchase 2 x Off Road Segway and karts for my sons at Christmas. Both arrived faulty in more than one way!! Can you even imagine the disappointment and sadness of my 2 boys on Christmas day when we took them out for the first go??? Only to be dealing with 2 devastated crying children in the space of about 5 minutes! Since then I have sent multiple emails, photographs, lengthy explicit descriptions and have had the most ridiculous responses. Firstly there was no huge apology and 'how can we make this right' attitude which surely should have been to replace them all immediately??!! If this has happened and they had been exchanged immediate effect then the sadness of the presents not actually working on the big day would have been slightly less painful, I mean it is not going to change the day and the subsequent misery for us all this year but at least they would have had them to play on in the school holidays!!! But no, instead more and more back and forth and back and forth with ridiculous questions and still no resolution over a week on! They even said in one email they were sending out new parts.....i don't want bits and bobs sent to me, they should be completely brand new items, we spent so much money!! Also I may add these spare parts have not materialised either?!! I cannot quite take it in, the boys will be back to school having had the most disappointing Christmas and still no Segways and karts they can use!!! I am disgusted! I am at the stage of now not even wanting an exchange for new ones as I cant trust them??? At this stage a full return and refund sadly seems to be the only solution now, but I can't even get them to agree to this! I will have to contact my credit card company if I do not hear again on Monday. Oh, and yes the telephone number doesn't work except to say its all online!!! How can people behave in this manner and sleep at night
??!! Ruined Christmas and still not rectified!!!

Initially unsure on how to purchase…

Initially unsure on how to purchase product and what it fully included. So called and got great advice from the company. Ordered and got prompt delivery of main items and had been advised that final item would be dispatched during a specific week, which it was and kept updated by email.
Hoverboard and all equipment is excellent quality.

If I could leave zero stars i could !!
Ordered item in NOVEMBER for by grandsons birthday in December. Website did state that it would arrive on 2/12/24. Date passed and I did not receive it - contacted UK Segboards to be told there was a delay and I would receive it the following week. Still nothing ! No contact from them either - I had to chase again still to be told there was a delay. Grandsons birthday came so I had to buy him an alternative present - thought I would give segboard to him for christmas . Date is now 22/12/24 and I have still not received anything. UK segboards are saying it is with the courier so now out of their hands and courier is an automated service so cannot speak to anybody there. DON'T BE FOOLED by their website saying next day delivery!! I paid for this item in NOVEMBER, when UK SEGBOARD knew that they did not have this item - So disappointed in their customer service (or lack of it) I do not know if I will receive this now before christmas - Thank you very much UK SEGBOARD!!
DO NOT BUY FROM THEM IF YOU WANT SOMETHING QUICKLY!! If you want to wait nearly 2 months then please do !!!!!

If I could give zero stars I would.

Ordered in November, no confirmation email sent. Tried to contact them, no response. No answer through chat or phone.

Eventually got a response via email. Asked to cancel and they did everything they could to prevent me from cancelling. Then contact just stopped.

Thankfully my bank did a chargeback and I got my money back.

Currys do a good line of hoverboards and we got one from there instead.

Avoid this company like the plague.

No after sales service, advise not to buy from…

I purchased a segboard and karting attachment and on first use a part (leaf type spring) bent irreparably on one side and despite repeated attempts and emails, still not resolved. Further, the department who was supposed to contact me have not, despite several phone calls later. Avoid and go elsewhere where there is a service if something goes wrong. Very disappointed indeed.

Company takes money and does not supply goods, when contacted you get ignored. They have now been referred to trading standards. What sort of person can do this at Christmas time, you should be ashamed of yourselves for potentially ruining families Christmas's

Please please please do not buy from this company, I’m in the middle of requesting a refund as the hoverboard we bought didn’t even work longer than 5 mins, soon as they receive the item back they ignore you, do not purchase anything from them, they will con you out of your money, I will update on my experience further! I wish I listened to the previous bad reviews. Learnt my lesson.
