Please avoid this company.

Please avoid this company as I was a victim of the below scam.

If you have used this company, please check your bank/credit card statements for the subscription payment then cancel it.

"pdf smart review" likely refers to scams by the company PDFSmart (pdfsmart.com), which uses deceptive practices to lure users into hidden subscriptions after a cheap trial, leading to recurring charges and difficulty cancelling. The "smart" aspect may allude to AI features or smart document protection, but user reviews indicate the "smartness" is applied to tricking customers. Be wary of websites using "PDF Smart" and similar names, as they may be scams designed to extract recurring payments.
How the Scam Works
One-Time Use vs. Subscription: Customers are offered a low-cost "one-off" service or a free trial for PDF manipulation.
Hidden Subscription: Users often do not realize that this trial automatically enrolls them in a recurring monthly subscription at a significantly higher price (e.g., £49.99).
Difficulty Cancelling and Refunding: Attempting to cancel the subscription or get a refund is reported as difficult or impossible, leading to frustration for consumers.
Deceptive Business Practices: Many reviewers describe these practices as deceptive and misleading, with little to no clear notification that a subscription is being initiated.

This is a deliberate fraud!

This is a deliberate fraud!
Ultra PDF and PDFSmart are one and the same companies, the same scammers who get their services activated for you without your awareness and you discover it at the point when you've been paying and paying 49£ every month.

This is a con - Fraud Fraud Fraud AVOID

This is a con. They will take your card details, then generate an initial £1 direct debit charge against the 7 day 'one of' usage fee and then following that monthly direct debits for £49.90 growing in number over the next 2-3 months if you do not stop it. They are operating in a Fraudulent fashion which my bank is aware of but AVOID AT ALL costs. £1 fee will translate to £49.99 per month and then they will attempt to generate multiple Debits of £49.99(my bank stated they had tried 5 attempts in July to debit £49.99 from my account, the bank had rejected them all)

Zero star review

I paid for a merge pdfs as my client was useless at tech and sent just 1 page. I agreed to £1 for 1 week use of the pdf that was it. Next minute I had the bank contacting me that this scam company was trying to take £49 four times a day. I've got them banned from my bank account thank goodness but judging by other reviews others have NOT been so lucky. Why isn't this scam company shut down? Why does Google allow them to be top of the search?
Google need to pull their socks up and ban this company scamming people and pull their site immediately

Scam from Israel

I used what was was advertised as a free PDF combiner. I assumed they monetized their site with advertising. However, I had to pay £1.99 for a weeks access to the PDF combiner service...this i thought was OK. A week later, they tried to take £49.99 out of my account. Luckily for me, I am absolutely skint and was only using their service im the first place in order to combine together the 47 pages of a complex begging letter which I am sending out to everyone including my parents. Ironically, I was actually going to send the owner of this PDF converter a begging letter, but I think they are probably skint as well.

a year has gone by and I thought I had cancelled this detestable service. in fact it is almost impossible as the systems on their site do not work. I have just tried again. Oddly I got it confused with another company called PDF Guru which did in fact stop my account. I do not know how both were connected. But this one continues to take money and I think I have never used it.I have just tried once again to stop the service. In the end, I have contacted my bank. THIS IS A SCAM and deliberately providing a shoddy service when it comes to stopping.. you fill out the form and press send and nothing goes... a complete deceit.

If I could give zero stars I would. Like other reviews, I paid £1.99 for a week. Used the app and immediately cancelled my subscription. For months now they have been taking 49 from my account and there's no way to contact them.

I signed up to receive an online report for £1.99 . And then I immediately clicked to cancel any recurring subscription. But they took £49.99 a week later as a recurring transaction. I contacted my credit card co who were very helpful and were able to help me identify how I had been scammed. They blocked the merchant and I raised a request for a refund of the fraudulent transactions.

Stay away. Fraudsters

They'll take £1 for a file and not deliver it. Then charge you £50 a month subscription. If you go into your account to cancel it, there will be no invoices or record of payment.

It's fraud. Plain and simple
