Umai Clothing Reviews 

I have purchased multiple pieces of clothing on multiple occasions, and i have yet to be dissapointed in any way.
The prints, quality, embroidery etc., were all exactly as advertised. Nothing has faded, cracked or otherwise deteriorated and even the sizes are true to what i had expected.
I am a subscribed customer and i am genuinely satisfied with the price-performance-ratio of Umai+.
Customer support was very friendly even though the one matter i had reported was out of their hands.

All in all, in correspondence to my experiences, i can only give a 5-star review.

Umai Clothing is one of my favorite clothing companies. The clothes they offer are very high quality. I really recommend buying from them because the artwork is really nice and I really appreciate it. They have a great customer support and overall have really good prices

There seems to be only one man working the customer service side of things and he takes forever to reply. I was able to make affiliate with the brand but they wanted to use my real name as a referral code, after messaging customer service to get this changed I only ever received one reply stating they would. They never did. Eventually my affiliate window closed because of no sales. Whatever.
As for the shirts and hoodies themselves: the ones I've ordered have been great. Good designs, comfortable, and the ink lasts for quite a while.
Lately, however, the new designs have been so fugly and lackluster that it makes me question if they're even trying anymore. Most of the good designs are locked behind Umai+, which is a scam in itself. You have to pay to view shirts, get an extra 10% off, and then cancel because you don't see any more shirts you like or can't buy more because they're so expensive.
Unless Umai hires more people, ups their design quality, AND stops with the shady business practice I don't want to buy anything else from them.

The poster prints are fantastic and they're shipped in proper tubing and wrapping. If you wait for a BOGO sale, the pricing is fine. That said, the apparel isn't the best quality - as people have commented here, they're thin and the print peels fast - and while I want to be on the list for notifications of new designs, they send out a different sales configuration every other day, which makes it real tempting to just unsub and ignore.

DISCLAIMER: MY EXPERIENCE ISN'T UP TO DATE

So I made multiple purchases on UMAI in between of early 2021- late 2022, and overall I was satisfied with the quality of products delivered. Although not 100% top notch, as at times the print differed from preview online (color saturation) or the print may varied in material/quality, generally they met the bar of what was promised. I cannot give 5/5 rating simply for the inconsistency in my experience, but I sympathize with possible problems such as manufacturing etc. Keep in mind my experience is NOT up to date and have not purchased a product of their since late 2022, but from following e-mails and insights, they seemed to be keen on improving customer experience.

The website is very easy to use and manoeuvre around, searching for the right thing is always straightforward. I first bought from umai around 2 years ago and have bought many more clothes since. The 4 stars are for the amazing quality of clothes even through multiple washes, the prints haven’t cracked or faded. The stars are also for the incredibly kind customer service staff, I had a small issue with one of my orders, i can’t remember what, and so I contacted them and asked what happened and they were very kind and respectful, my issue got sorted and that was the end of it. The reason my review isn’t a 5 star is because since I made my first purchase the price of the clothes has increased quite a bit, now I know that with the increase of quality comes and increase of price but my first ever purchases are still going strong. I do still buy from them from time to time. Definitely worth the money

Its a bit too expensive for the print quality.
But what i hate the most is the fomo stuff behind the membership sub. i ended up not looking at the site anymore.

Pretty cool designs, and very flexible in occassion your order isn't right or you want to re-choose your order.

I saw bad reviews but still decided to give it a try, turned out to be worth than I thought...

- Bad print quality
- Bad shirt quality
- Expensive
- Bad commercial practice

Don't make the same mistake as me, run away from this company.

T-shirts bought looked nice from the site, however when received they turned out to be incredibly thin matieral wise. Bit of shame considering its price.

The prints themselfs were bad both seeming to be damaged, nothing compared to the actual sites prints.

The reviews on their offical website are oddly only showing positive reviews compared to the ones on trustpilot. Something possibly fishy here.

I cannot in good conscious give 1 star, the shirts themselves are of fine/decent quality and the designs are quite lovely a lot of the time.
My list of problems with them is long though:
- A membership to see many of the products (I got mine free of charge with a coupon code available on the website)
- I received no less than NINE mails with marketing and "exclusive promotions" on ONE day, many were basically copies of each other
- Horrible sales tactics on their website "only X hours left" "buy X get X free/% off" (for products which at base price are completely crazy, 50% off makes them the normal price they are worth)
It's too bad, I'm sure they could create a good brand without all of these tactics...

Edit: Now one month later I got charged again for their "Umai+", which they've made as difficult as posisble to cancel. This despite mailing them to confirm that this would not happen (no reply of course) and removing my payment method from the account (also much harder than it should be). Would not recommend the site at all at this point.

Umai clothing has amazing shirts! I love how they fit and plan to order more.

I bought two hoodies, both very expensive. The quality of the prints were awful. After just one careful wash, the print was completely damaged, it looks really bad.
After writing a review for euch hoodie with 3/5 stars, I now checked out the page if my reviews are now visible. But they are not. More than one year after writing them, they were not published at all. This says everything for me. Stay away from this page!

Customer Support Team took a while to respond - had to follow up two times to even get a response. When I did get a response, I was told that I was basically out of luck - no resolution at all was offered other than "Sorry, your order is too old". Kinda sucks since I actually did intend to be a repeat customer, but knowing that they don't really care about the customer experience means I'm definitely avoiding this place forever. Would not recommend.

Excellent clothing and customer service. None of my designs have faded and shirts are good fit.

Out of all the orders I've made (10 or so) only one had an incorrect size. Issue resolved in the week. No complaints

Why only 4 stars? The promotional offers seem all over the place, sometimes you play an order only for the next day for a better deal to be on. (I guess that's retail though?)

Really poor quality, cut is horrible and you can see at first glance that the drawing is going to fade away in no time as it is merely printed. The only good point is that the customer service is reactive

I bought 2 phone cases; both are poorly printed, not even symmetrical, and the quality is also not that good. The case itself is also not that good I would say it is okay.

Received 1 of my 2 ordered shirts (The second getting stuck in customs - recognise this is not the fault of the seller).

The print design itself it awesome, I'd been looking forward to finally getting a t-shirt from Umai for ages!

Sadly it is very, VERY let down by the print quality.

I've washed the t-shirt twice; once after it arrived, and again after wearing it for the first time. The print is already starting to crack, even though I made sure to wash it at 30c, and iron it at the lowest heat possible. Highly concerned that after another half dozen washes/irons the print will be all but destroyed.

I want to be able to recommend Umai, really, I absolutely love the print styles they have on offer, but unless the print quality VASTLY improves, or the t-shirts are on sale for < £10, I can't at this point in time.

Only buy from here if you're happy to accept the print will be gone within a year of wearing, or you're buying during a dirt-cheap sale, otherwise like me you'll just end up disappointed.

2-Stars purely because I still love the designs and the first shirt arrived very quickly; if I went off print quality alone it would be an obvious 1-Star.

Update - I received the 2nd t-shirt. The print quality on this t-shirt seems much better.

Based on this experience whatever they use for printing works much better on white than black.

Still 2 stars due to the low quality of the print on the black t-shirt. While I may buy some of their t-shirts again in the future, they will be only white ones, and never, ever, ever for retail price; only half price or less. For their retail price I'd expect a t-shirt and print of such quality that I could still wear it in a few years time with no hint of fading.
