The initial order was fine
The initial order was fine, items delivered promptly.
1 of the blinds was the incorrect size, this was partly down to the instructions online on how to measure a recess and also down to my measuring skills!!
I purchased the insurance at an additional cost of £4.50 per blind which covers you if you make a measuring mistake. This is where the problems began.
Just so others are aware if you purchase the insurance the customer is responsible for the return of the incorrect blind. The company will not manufacture your new blind until they receive back the old one. I returned the old blind within a couple of days at a cost of approx £12. You then have to pay again for the delivery of the replacement blind at a cost of £10.95. When you add on the cost of the original insurance the replacement blind actually cost me £27.00 so not such a good deal after all. The replacement blind took ages to come, I had to chase 2/3 times with phonecalls and also a few emails being promised it would arrive on the Friday, then the Monday. After chasing again eventually it arrived on the Thursday which was almost 2 weeks after I had sent the old blind back!! . What was initially a good experience turned into a poor one. That being said the product quality seems to be good and the no drill blinds of which I purchased were very easy to install.

Website is designed poorly, I choose my measurements correctly but it was converted into a different measurement and there is no invoice with cm,mm or inches mentioned so it’s impossible to follow up, absolute waste of time.

Our website does not currently offer the option to enter measurements in inches on the roman blind, and all order measurements are displayed in millimetres or centimetres on the invoice as this is the standard format used for production.
We understand this is disappointing, however we cannot accept liability for customer errors as the blinds are made to measure, we can also see you were charged for the sizes in mm.
We can see a discount has been offered to reorder in the correct size which has been delined.

Poor Experience – No Instructions, No Fixings and Unhelpful Customer Service
I would avoid Unbeatable Blinds. The blind arrived with no instructions, which made the installation more difficult than it needed to be. Also, the wooden blinds that are not listed under the “no drilling” section do not come with raw plugs or screws, so you have to go to B&Q and spend another £10 on fixings before you can even put the blind up. Customer service was poor too, with one-sentence replies that were not helpful. I have used Blinds2go before and their blinds came with both instructions and fixings, so in my experience you are better off going there instead.

Regarding the fixings, our wooden blinds do not include screws or raw plugs as different wall types require different fixings to ensure a safe and secure installation. This information is outlined within our product details, although we appreciate this may not have been as clear as it could have been.
