The location is unreal with epic views over the Dyfi valley and Cadar Idris. Easy to get to Machyllenth and Dyfi forest. Superbly well done off-grid living, which helps you disconnect but still plenty... See more

We loved our stay at Doulamaen, the pottery, the paintings, the views, the sauna, the dunk in the stream, even the water tasted much better here! Plus, huge appreciation for the Welsh blanketed four poster bed! If you have an eye for detail, and appreciation for landscape, you will love this place!

The cottage is dog friendly but each time tried to book whilst including my dog I was thrown out. I have reserved the property without including our dog and will add her on when completing payments. Very frustrating
Brilliant and helpful support from the UTT team. They sorted the problem the next day. Thank you Katie xx.
We're really looking forward to a quiet and firework free break

Our 1st stay with Under the Thatch and was a good experience from the point of booking to the day we had to sadly leave the cosy cottage we had booked with them in Mid-Wales. We will certainly be back to explore more of their properties.

Suffolk House was more than we expected. Thoughtful renovations of a high quality. Both house and extensive gardens are beautifully maintained. We booked a four night stay.

Dolau Canol is a beautiful old Welsh farmhouse and beautifully decorated with amazing old quilts hanging on the walls. We had everything we needed and more. We loved playing badminton in the large garden and going for walks along the river a short walk from the farmhouse, our dog loved the river and playing in the garden. It was so peaceful no noise of traffic and so much wildlife to watch in the garden, the swallows feeding the young ones and watching them fledge from the safety of the barn was amazing. So many stars to see at night due to no light pollution. You have to visit Jen Jones quilt shop it’s at the end of the lane full to the brim with antique Welsh quilts and blankets for sale and then a must visit is the Quilt Museum in Lampeter. Jen Jones was lovely and we wished we could have stayed longer.
We can’t wait to return.

Under The Thatch is offering unique holiday cottages in great locations with very good standards of comfort and facilities. We stayed at Beudy Trehilyn in north Pembrokeshire, in a barn cleverly and thoughtfully restored with a real focus on conserving the traditional building styles. But with no compromise to comfort and facilities. Communication was good.

Unfortunately, the weather was not kind to us during our four-day stay. All the more reason for us to enjoy the accommodation with all its incredibly advantageous qualities. Absolutely brilliant and incredibly beautiful. Thank you very much.

The property (Tŷ Gin) is very comfortable with a well-equipped big kitchen/dining area and large sitting room for all the family to congregate. There is a nice eating area outside by a small lawn. The house is beautifully situated, with views across the countryside, and with easy access to the coastline from St David’s round to Tenby. All in all, a very enjoyable stay.

Amazing home ! we were so lucky to stay in cro na tra for 2 nights . Family of 4. We all absolutely loved it. Only trouble was it was too short! We had a paddle board lesson on the beach out the front of the house with Michael on Friday . He was so good with the kids and was well worth every penny. We visited Dooley Beach which was just stunning. We would love to stay again except longer for sure next time !!

this was thee most beautiful cottage the booking and information given were very efficient and accurate and the cottage went beyond our expectations in every way
Wonderful cottage in a beautiful location. We had all the cooking equipment we need, although it was quite basic (no frills!) and the only improvement would have been more reliable hot water, or maybe better explanation to make it work! Would book again.

Under the Thatch was fantastic to deal with and Katie was extremely helpful. The cottage we booked through them was clean, comfortable and situated in beautiful countryside. We will return to Bwthyn Tresinwen and will book again through Under The Hatch.

The cottage is a beautiful, quiet place lying in a valley with a little creek directly in front of the house. The interior is chosen with a great attention to detail so that we felt at home at an instant. There is everything needed available to feel cozy and comfortable (dishwasher, floor heating, big DVD- and book collection, comfortable beds, oven and fireplace).
We had a wonderful time and will be glad to come again.
