It was a great experience overall.
If you’re looking to switch off, no noise, pure silence (the odd sheep ‘baa’ing) and just wind. I would definitely recommend.
Left to your own thoughts, with an open view is just what you need from time to time.
I now understand why people want to live away from people.

The only thing i’d say others need to prepare for is the composting toilet. It isn’t as bad as one would think, HOWEVER, the smell is just so bad, I wish there was a way it wouldn’t smell. But it’s absolutely awful. I spent my entire time during my stay sat outside - good weather thank god - and only spent time inside when cooking and sleeping. The bathroom smell is just so horrendous and I know there is nothing which can be done about this. It’s just one of those things (we had plenty of air freshener on hand).
I’d suggest taking extra bits of everything even though a lot is provided just in case! For the most part just enjoy the view and time in open space doing absolutely nothing apart from breathing in fresh air and enjoying great views!

Loved our stay with unyoked. The cabin was beautiful and well equipped. Bed was super comfy and the space was set out perfectly. The stay really makes you appreciate nature and be present.

Great experience. Clean, comfy cabins, super bedding, 1st class location & privacy, well equipped & stocked kitchen & bathroom - high quality. Don’t be put off by the composting toilet, it was a pleasant surprise!

This company is very well set up. You choose a cabin and you download an app with all the necessary info so you feel ready before you get there.

The cabins are exceptionally well set up. The use of space is amazing. Everything you need is there and don't be scared by the composting toilet, it's absolutely fine! Of you go when it's hot, keep the blinds down during the day and take a handheld fan because the cabins do get very hot at night when the weather is hot.

Book a cabin, you won't regret it. We're already planning on going back.

Such a great idea for a quick getaway. Felt like we were in the middle of nowhere. Loved that we could bring our dog too.

Had a brilliant stay at Maynard. Very restorative. The cabin felt truly tucked away in the woods but had everything we needed and it worked easy to get there by train and taxi. Love the suggested walks

The cabin was really well kitted out (think glamping over camping), and the site itself was really cool. It's close enough to two other cabins that you could easily go with friends, but far enough away that you could also just keep to yourself. Really relaxing, very peaceful and calm, and I would love to be back (with friends!) in the cooler months for a big communal campfire dinner.

Staying in Pepe was the ultimate mindfulness experience. We got the fire going for the outdoor bath at 5pm so it was ready by 8pm and then we enjoyed the night under the stars. Nothing compares to this! We woke in the morning to a kangaroo outside the window. This place is the epitome of the word ‘zen’.

We had a lovely afternoon with our grandchildren. There was lots to do and the staff were all lovely. Thanks for a fab experience.

Had a wonderful time a Pennywell Farm with my young Goddaughter, the staff were fantastic, friendly and informative, the animals provided some great entertainment, a great day out for everyone, I would highly recommend

A great day out for Little’s ones

We loved the location, cabin and amenities in Tarra Valley, we would highly recommend, especially if you’re a couple seeking the opportunity to disconnect from life/your phones and reconnect with one another.

My experience was positive throughout my stay, from the cabin information provided in advance to the comfortable bed and beautiful location overlooking a wild flower meadow. I wish I could have stayed longer.

Had a brilliant day and the happiness was their from the start, with a warm welcome to pennywell in car park. Visited with my 5 month old daughter and she love it especially because the animals where at her level to look at whilst she was in her pushchair. Funniest moment was when the donkeys were trying to find the food in the pushchair. A lovely unforgettable day had by all, thank you to pennywell

Simple and easy

We stayed in Henry on Exmoor straddling Somerset and Devon. It was beautifully remote with everything we needed with beautiful views of land and sky and an excellent “dark sky” to view the stars. Local walks and hikes were excellent.

My stay at Nikita was everything I’d hoped for. Peaceful, relaxing, quiet. The tiny home was meticulously clean, with the most comfortable bed and pillows. It had pretty much everything I needed for simple meals in the kitchen, and I loved making jaffles over the fire. The only disappointment was that I was informed there would be no firewood available for purchase at this location, so had to lug in my own (at least they did provide a location very nearby to purchase some on the way in).

Their tips for warming up the ‘home’ and staying warm were great for a winter getaway. Those hot water bottles are amazing.

Funnily enough, I was disappointed that I had reception! This location was supposed to have no service at all, but I had full service with Telstra. I just put my phone in airplane mode - I’d told everyone I was non-contactable anyway.

Would recommend

Beautiful, isolated setting - felt like I had my own private woodland for a few days! Cabin was very comfortable with everything I needed. Would wholeheartedly recommend a stay in Flint. Just be vigilant for ticks if you go walking through the woods.
