After weeks of researching POS systems…
After weeks of researching POS systems I trusted the reviews here and went with Upserve. Wish I would have went with another POS. First of all their 24/7 customer support is a lie. Not one time have I ever logged in on my computer to find an agent online and available. The only way to reach customer service is through the actual POS system which doesn't help me solve problems on the back end. Their handheld device is pretty much useless to my staff. Their online ordering integration needs work. Reports are super basic and useless. Really expensive P.O.S. and I'm not talking about point of sale. Maybe they all suck but I definitely would not recommend this one.
Problem solved!
I was having difficulty logging into Upserve in my tablet for a few days. I couldn't understand why I could login on my laptop but not my iPad. Live chat solved my problem quickly and efficiently.
Top notch customer service!
I really appreciate and value the customer service experience I get. As a fairly new business owner, I often have questions that feel complicated to me, but the folks at Upserve always take the time to walk me through any challenges I am facing. I consistently find them to be friendly, professional, helpful and experienced. The more I learn, the more I like, and as someone who value's customer service a lot, I give them the highest of marks!

Had an issue with a check out report and got assistance within two minutes which in 15 years in the industry I’ve never had a POS system contact me back so quickly and solve the problem I had so fast.

On our opening night using Upserve, we had a question. We called Upserve in the middle of our rush. It took 30 seconds before we were talking to someone. Our support quickly logged into our system and walked us through our issue on how to fix it. So friendly too!!!

My company recently moved to Upserve after the company that we were using went out of business. The process was seamless from the beginning and the support has been unlike anything I have experienced in this industry. The staff has been willing and able to not only answer my questions but also show me how to maintenance and change my account on my own.

Amazing customer service!
Hardware Issue
Had an issue with hardware on a POS terminal. I was able to speak with a representative, send a video over e-mail and get a solution, a new POS sent out right away! Lia was so helpful and friendly it was a very easy process. Great communication.
Outstanding Technical Support
I had to call Upserve Technical today. We had a few unresolved issues left from the outage on Saturday. My customer service rep was amazing. He quickly resolved all of issues. He was so easy to work with.
Upserve is a very good POS system
Upserve is a very good POS system, we do have a restaurant that is different than usual restaurants, but Upserve was able to get everything working and running for us. They are easy to talk to and always find solutions no matter what the problem is.
I am not giving a 5 start only because we do not have one of the most wanted reports that is the user audit. The second point that it lacks is some security level on creating new items/comps and other tenders. If it was not for that I would give Upserve 5 stars without thinking twice.

Upserve is just another money suck on the industry
Our experience with Upserve has been terrible and I would not recommend signing any contracts with them. From the start there were issues, they were demanding that we buy a $1,000 router and then pay licensing fees for it.... it is not necessary and a total waste of money, we have an open concept 600sq ft restaurant! Then the hardware that we did purchase through Upserve was mostly 2nd hand and straight out of the box not working, after almost 2 months we had all of the devices functioning, with no credits or apology from Upserve. At one point they were actually trying to get me to pay full price for replacement devices. During Covid they continued to bill us at full price even though we were closed from March 15th to July 4th 2020! For a company that claims to be for the restaurant industry they sure screwed me over, at $280 a month, basically $1,000 in fees for a service wasn't used. I spoke with neighboring restaurants who use Toast, Square, and Brigade and all raved about how they were given discounts and breaks during covid. There are plenty of other POS companies our there that depend on us being open so I suggest supporting them.

Upserve HQ reporting is intuitive and easy to use. When I had a cash deposit discrepancy between reports the customer service rep. via the online chat feature was very helpful in asking the right questions regarding my issues and helped to work it out with me until they found the solution.
