Very easy system to use with a lot of information at your fingertips. At this time we are doing roughly 30% to go business and the integration with delivery platforms is excellent.
Above and Beyond
The customer service rep went above and beyond to make sure all departments were on the same page. He was also pleasant, understanding, and great at small talk. Also no background noise, like a tv or something (he had a great setup)!

Excellent customer service experience
My issue was handled promptly and efficiently regarding a charge on the wrong bank account. I was able to get the error resolved within only a few minutes. It was a pleasant customer service experience.

I adore Upserve
I adore Upserve! This company has been just remarkable with their customer service. I installed Upserve December 2019 in launch of our Hotel's new restaurant. Then COVID hit 3 months later. Upserve has helped with all our business pivots. Beside the software and operating system being super easy to use (yes, there is a learning curve, but they hold your hand throughout the whole process) the customer support is second to none. Honestly, one of the best investments we could have made... even in light of the economic shutdown.

I would have given 5 Stars but, I am taking one away because of the long wait time it takes to speak to a support person.
When I did get a call back I was more than happy with the help that I received. He was very polite and patient. He took his time to explain and walk me through everything that I needed to do. I had more than one issue that I needed help with and he was more than happy to help with all of them. He did not hang up until we tested everything and we were sure everything was up and running.
A Happy Two Years!
We have been using Upserve for two seasons now (we are only open may-october) and they always answer the phone with helpful staff who are quick to solve your question or problem and offer additional advice to prevent it in the future if possible.
WORST COMPANY EVER..
WORST COMPANY EVER.... Do not sign up with these guys, it’s the most complicated software ever not to mention is so outdated.
Customer services is horrible.
They offer me finance for my equipments: out of the sudden they charge my account with the whole full amount at onces + first months and the system was not even install neither in my hands. That was the first thing.
Second: I was told they offer in person assistance and training... And I really like that since running and training your staff to use a POS is very time consuming, and since I was transitioning from a different company I was willing to pay more but get a good training to help smooth the whole transition for my staff and myself. Well another lie, when they schedule the training it was remote via phone call, when I asked about the live training session, they said that meant by “in-person” only the installation. So I had to do this phone call trainings where they don't teach you anything pretty much explain to you how she will try to create your menu then you are on your own. We were scheduled to re-open doors on a Thursday and since training is very poor I was having an issue setting up my menu, I call and the “Menu Specialist” was not available, so I wrote an email asking for help, this was on a Wednesday, they reply saying that the sooner a menu specialist could help me was on Friday..! Really? Running a restaurant business you can’t stop the business motion just like that to wait for some Upserve representative to help, we have people that depend on us, staff, customers, our community... So, we couldn’t open that week, thanks to them, because our system was a mess.
Third: Installation is the worst... The whole process is just so slow, in my case it took almost 3 weeks and the finishes were very disappointed. Not counting that I had to spend over 1K in installation that was not disclosed at the very beginning, since they portrait themselves like a “One payment everything include” it’s just another lie people.
Fourth: They are NEVER transparent, from the very beginning they offer everything and say YES to everything you ask for, once you sign their contract PUM everything change... Lack of service, installation is very crapy, customer services is a mess, training is horrible, you feel like you’re begging for help and assistances after you sign that contract.
I was so disappointed that I decide to cancel everything with them, un-mount and ship all their equipment back... Keep in mind I did not even process ONE payment with their system since the initial setup was never completed... So when I call and mentioned that Upserve did not met my expectations and I wanted to cancel and return everything and get my money back, or at least part of it because maybe some return fee or something, they said that if I wanted to cancel I had to pay them 27K in ETF. which is equal to 3 yrs of service. But if I stick with them and pay the monthly service of $499 a month x 36 months that’s 17K, so the ETF doesn't even make sense.
When you have a company that you’re not able to back your product up, give assistance to it users, help them get on board and feel secure on your software, but instead you just focus on get them to sign a contract and then don't care anymore because you just secured 27K, just show that this company values are at its lowest.. You should not force people to stick to your product when they are not happy..
I will never recommend this company to anybody.. As restaurant owners we need to bust our a** off a lot to be successful, and companies like this out there trying to get you in the hook and ripped your money off.

Upserve's customer service is horrific. If you are lucky enough to chat with someone the chat usually abruptly ends before anything is resolved and wait times for a phone call are at least 30-45 minutes. No business can function and have someone trying to get through to your sub-par help.
You cannot see gratuities as people pay making it hard to balance books, keep track, cut staff, etc.

We bought the system for more than 2 months and we only use it for only 1 time because it’s not how we wanted it. The sale person didn’t do what he promised. Would not recommend to anyone for sure. It will be great if we can return the system
