Excellent customer service

Excellent customer service - lights went out after 18 months. Called VTaC and without any problems they sent me not just one but 2 replacement bulbs within 48 hours. Cannot recommend V-TAC more. Quality good, price good and more importantly customer service excellent!

Good customer support and good products

My product got some issue after within the warranty period , and they promptly responded by email and sent me replacement and is still going well for few years now. Good stylish product and good customer support.

LED Down Lighters

Purchased 2 Packs of 10 V-TAC LED fire rated integrated LED down lights SKU 218913 - 5 Chrome. Lights came with 5 year manufactories warranty. 2 lights failed within 12 months of purchase with original seller replacing lights. A further two failed after 12 months which original seller said I needed to contact manufacture. Spoke with V-TAC’s Customer Service team who replaced faulty lights on supply of receipt for original purchase. Overall very happy with service V-TAC Customer Service team provided.

Excellent service both times of contact

Purchased a light baton and it had some missing mounting clips. Contacted V Tac and they promptly sent some replacement parts. Excellent service.
Another light baton failed and once again V Tac sent a complete replacement at no cost, once again excellent service from professional company.

Downlighter sku 8177

Moved into a property which had been rewired and had Vtac downlighters fitted (around 30).
Around 6 months later one started to flash.
It's a sealed unit and am unable to change the bulb.
I contacted V tac and they said I had to replace the whole downlighter. It lasted no where near the recommended length stated on the products information.
The company has since sent me a free replacement which I've now fitted and it works fine.

Company honoured warranty when UK seller did not

Bought some bulbs with 5 year warranties. After a couple of years 2 had failed. Contacted seller who refused to help and told me, contrary to UK law I am sure, that the manufacturer was responsible.
I contacted V-Tac who confirmed it was the UK seller's job to deal with it but said they would send me 2 replacements. Good communications and replacements (actually 3) did arrive. So happy with company and reasonably happy with the bulbs though their seller JACS Lighting Ltd (via Amazon UK) were not good.

Light bulbs keep disconnecting

These light bulbs keep becoming disconnected from the account/wifi and this is included lights that get used often light a bedroom light. Usually this only happens with globs in rooms that rarely get turned on. This has happened to at least 3 of the globes I have of VTAC in different rooms with different usage in each room. But I will say the effort of connecting lights thought the app is generally painless, just prefer to be a one off affair.

Thank you for the review and apologies for the issues you faced. Here are some possible scenarios:
1. The lights may go into "pairing" mode if the switch is turned off/on in succession, which could have been done by accident. However this situation can easily be recognized because the lights will start flashing.

2. When the lights are turned off for a while, and if the wifi signal/router goes through any changes, including a restart, it can cause the lights to disconnect.

3. If the wifi signal is not strong where the light is operating, it sometimes may not show up in the app until the device can find the signal.

Some weeks ago the company got back on…

Some weeks ago the company got back on Trustpilot and promised more GU10s which failed quickly. I contacted the address they gave with the necessary info and got no reply AGAIN let alone the 20 bulbs promised! So am not buying this awful company's solar system and getting Growatt Inverter and batteries.
"Regarding the GU10s we again apologize for the inconvenience, please send us your address at the email below and we'll send you 20 plus some extra free of cost. In the future please contact our customer care team at customercare at vtacexports.com or call +442072991212 for anything you need."

Terrible Products

Our wholesaler started stocking the 5 watt integrated LED downlights, we’ve fitted about 50-60 on different jobs and have had to replace about 30 of them within 3 months. They just flash.

This has cost me hundreds of pounds in labour having to go back and replace them all.

Stick to a reputable brand from now on as it’s costs you the same if not less in the long run.

Terrible product which the wholesalers have now taken off the shelf which shows the faults are happening with more people than me

Terrible. 1 star is 1 too many.

Reliable and good value

I have always found V-TAC smart colour changing bulbs to be reliable and great value for money. I have many and I’ve only had two fail and only after hours and hours of use. Brighter than LIFX and much, much cheaper. Had several LIFX fail and that’s £50 wasted each time. Easy to set up with the SmartLife app... if you follow the instructions... !!! I can only speak for internal e14/e27 bulbs

Terrible waste of time and money

No issue in downloading the app, but cant login anywhere to create an account so you can actually connect to the lights.
Tried everything, but just cant get it to connect and my lights were just blinking all the time.
As such will be returning them - waste of time and money

Vtac 5w Downlighters

Bought 6 x Vtac 5w, warm white downlighters from CPC and 2 had failed within 6 months. CPC replaced them. Now 1 of the replacements has failed within 1 year of the original purchase. Each time the failed unit just flickers on and off. Poor quality

LED panel making sound

I bought16 psc. of V-TAC - MINI LED panel Downlight white 12 Watt 3000K square and round. Installed them 8 psc to one room, 4 in other, 4 in other, and when it in light they make noise. You can hear bzzzzz... sound. It's annoying. And I have to return as not good quality product.

The quality is not looking good so far

The quality is not looking good so far, ten bulbs have been installed about twenty minutes and we have two failures in the first five minutes. Absolutely rubbish quality control...Avoid this company (and their products).
Will update the review once I find out what their customer service is like...!

Have a VTAC colour changing floodlight

Have a VTAC colour changing floodlight. Simply cannot get it to connect. It's supposed to be bluetooth controlled but it won't show up as a device even when I manually try to connect. It's just a white manual LED panel. No fancy bluetooth control or colour changing facility. I have to reiterate what others have said that this is a scam. BTW all the positive reviews match the pidgeon English in the instructions. Clearly they are written by the employees!

VTAC wireless lights nightmare.

We have about 30 V Tac ceiling lights. They are proving to be an absolute nightmare. Frequently dropping off the system and often impossible to reconnect. Some work fine while others within half a metre distance will not connect or stay connected. From our experience they are not fit for purpose.

fake reviews

In the interest of transparency i will leave my original review, i don't take back the "fake reviews" comment, that isn't a wise move for business in the West VTac, we see through it. I must however now state that i received good customer service since all of this and things definitely seem to be improving on that front. If i take the time to write a bad review the least i can do is amend it when it things improve. Availability of customer service contact details still isn't great but they're improving. Stars changed from 1 to 4 for the effort put into my issue. (Trustpilot need to open their eyes to fake reviews.. look at the way those 5 star reviews are written, come on.. I am a genuine purchaser from Amazon.. NON-EXISTENT customer service.. cheap shoddy products.. even Amazon can't give me the contact details for the manufacturer for the fake 5yr warranty..)
