VASA will report to your credit

My bank changed and, therefore, my monthly membership fee wasn't going through. I received text messages about a failed payment and to go online to pay it. My account was frozen (I couldn't login online or the app) and I found out, through a very late letter, that my past-due balance was in collections and would be reported to my credit. I was not provided information about collections OR credit reporting. I was also not provided with an avenue for which to pay my account so it was up-to-date. I called in multiple times and was on hold for upwards of 1 hr. In talking to others that have used VASA, I've heard the same things. VASA is ruthless on their monthly memberships, if they aren't paid, they will report your account to credit without telling you. They'll also freeze your account and make it near impossible to get current. What a joke for a balance of less than $200.

Disappointing Experience at Vasa Fitness

I joined Vasa Fitness at 16921 E Quincy Ave, Aurora, CO more than 2 years ago, and my experience has been quite disappointing.
The restroom has a persistent bad smell, the locker and shower areas remain in dire need of attention. The showers are semi-broken. Additionally, I've noticed hair branches left in the showers, which is both unappealing and unhygienic.
Overall, I cannot recommend Vasa Fitness due to these ongoing cleanliness and maintenance issues, if hygiene and functional facilities are important to you

Yes. Your music does suck!

Let me start by saying that I've been a member for going on ten years now and have always been pretty happy overall. In fact I've always thought that for what it costs it's a really good value. (Here it comes) But at multiple locations and on multiple occasions I've left the gym so pissed off I can't see straight.

Here's the thing. What I'm paying for is a place where I can and do my workout with a little peace and quiet and listen to some of my OWN music while I workout. This is why I (and everyone else in the place) bring headphones or ear buds. So I can listen to my own music. I don't mind if people play aerobic workout music or something like that but this crap sounds like it comes from a f**king torture chamber.

Today I went to the West Valley location and it was so loud on the overhead I couldn't hear my ear buds on full volume. After ten minutes of that crap I was in a bad mood. After twenty I wanted to kill someone. It's that irritating to me. When I asked them to turn it down they wouldn't and I left the place in a psychotic rage.
Management really needs to examine this issue as I'm quite sure I'm not the only one who feels this way. If they gave a rat's ass their customers they would. I've complained about it before and gotten no results.

Con Artists and also hope you're not a woman or young lady!

Took us to debt collection because they charged during pandemic when they would not allow access that is FRAUD! Also my daughter got bullied there by some steroid king and when I complained to management (who was some kid himself) they did not care and thought it was funny! I would give zero stars if I could

Great Group Fitness Instructors

VASA has wonderful fitness instructors for its Group Fitness options. So many classes to choose from. I do Studio Red twice a week, Cycle on Sunday and Senior classes the other days.
Shout out to Victor for his special understanding of the older adults. Some of us are more fit than others and he encourages each of us to do what we can. He gives alternative movements to those who need them.
The gym and locker rooms are always clean.

Worst experience I’ve ever had

Worst experience I’ve ever had with a gym. Predatory contracts with “fine print” fees you’re unaware of until you get slammed with them and try to cancel - which generates more predatory fees. Facilities are dirty, employees unhelpful and the 2 times I went over the last 2 months I was not able to get on the equipment I wanted to use as it was always occupied. Charged a “no show” fee for a class I never booked in the first place. Don’t ever sign up with them. Go to VillaSport or Lifetime if you want an overall better experience. Heck even at Planet Fitness you get what you pay for. They don’t deserve to be in business. All they did was re-brand from Gold’s Gym and open “new” facilities in abandoned Kmarts in questionable parts of town.

Scam

When I moved in March my agent told me he’d cancel my service. I have moved to a new state and am still being charged. This GYM is an absolute scam. READ your agreement and go to a decent gym.

Crashed app.

My app crashed where I couldn't pull up a scan code to enter the gym. Called mobile app support team and talked to a support team member,(female) who followed up with me with several texts to resolve my issue. Didn't get ghosted.

THE WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE HANDS DOWN

Last week, I joined VASA.

I initially set up a Studio account with my tax exemption.

Two days later, I added an additional person to my account. I provided my tax exempt card and was advised that it was taken care of.

The next day, I received an ACH draft for the additional person fee that included taxes.

No one at the local gym couldn't assist me.

I emailed back and forth with customer service for days; which was useless.

She kept asking me to submit my tax exemption, again.

If the regular membership is non-taxed; why wouldn't the additional person fee be tax exempt?

I've reached out to the customer service phone number several times.

The first two calls; the phone automatically hung up on me. The third time. I had an option for a call back. It's now been seven hours. No one has called me. I was on hold for over 30 minutes. I decided to opt to text with Customer Service. When I selected the option. The phone hung up on me.

Ive allocated over two hours attempting to get assistance. And, I still haven't been assisted.

This has been he!!.

Overseas customer service is better than this.

Both of the gym and amenities are nice. However, the Hot tub on the North side always has gross hairs, something resembling skin, etc. Floating around. It's sickening. They need to clean that more often. That can't be sanitary.

This company is awful

This company is awful. They say you don't pay a lock in fee until a certain date but when I tried to cancel they tacked this fee on. It is impossible to speak with a person, and their gym's are very overcrowded. Awful experience with a terribly run company.

Judgmental due to your race

Judgmental due to your race. I am black and Native American mixed. I brought my kids to the gym. My kid's age is 16b, 13b, 12 girl. My daughter looks younger, she hasn't hit her stage yet of growth. The company did not ask for and birth certificates or anything once I signed up. Until a person that is white that made compliant about my children being colored and my daughter looks young made up an age. My lawyer will be contacting the company with the unprofessionalism.

My kids were not acting out, my 16-year-old was with me including my 13-year-old and 12-year-old. My kids are old enough to go to the gym, now I have to show proof that they are the age they are after another person that is white making an issue about it.

When I started working out there you can see the tension in the air when you see someone that is different there.

My lawyer will be contacting the gym and asking for the cameras as well.

I wish I could give zero stars

I wish I could give zero stars. Customer service is AWFUL! It is such a task to the membership canceled and people are just rude. I have had a membership at various gyms for the last 13 years this is by far, hands down the worst gym.

VASA misrepresentation

I am from Henderson, Nevada. At the end of June, I went with my family to Orem, Utah on a family vacation for two weeks. I went to the VASA fitness at 1585 N State St, Orem, UT and asked if I could get a two week pass. The employee told me that they did not have such a pass but I could sign up for a free month trial. I would simply need to cancel before the 30 days and pay a $25 cancellation fee. I asked him if there were any other fees attached. He assured me there were no other fees. I signed the contract and went online after returning home to cancel. Once I logged into the VASA website, I discovered that they had charged me a $15 fee for some training (which I was never provided) and another $45 for the next month's gym membership. I called into Paramount Acceptance (the parent company I presume). They took off the $15 fee but said that there was nothing they could about the $45 fee. I explained that I had been assured it would only be $25. Their response was that it was in the contract and legally binding. I paid it so I would not be sent to collections.
