All the staff were very professional

All the staff were very professional, yet friendly. They put me at my ease. I am very happy with the results of the treatment and would happily recommend the VeinCentre.

I am still a bit disappointed with the results

I am still a bit disappointed with the results of treatment, although I know it can take up to a year for the final result to be achieved, so I just have to be patient.
Everything was fine at the Practice and everyone was very efficient and helpful, maybe apart from the Nurse who administered my last blood thinning injection, because this caused a large area of bruising, which had not been the case with the first injection at all.

The consultant and nurse assistant were both absolutely lovely. Answered all my questions and were very reassuring. They really put me at ease.

The consultation was fine

The consultation was fine. However I think £250 too expensive. Ex specially if you decide not to have the treatment. Also I am not convinced it will totally work rd k and get every vein gone?

Exceptional Care and Comfort – EVLA & Sclerotherapy with Dr Ramnarine

I recently had EVLA surgery on both legs and sclerotherapy with Dr Ramnarine at Veincentre, and I could not be happier with my experience.

From the moment I arrived, Dr Ramnarine’s professionalism and expertise put me completely at ease. He explained every step clearly, answered all my questions with patience, and carried out the procedure with exceptional skill. I felt confident that I was in the best hands possible.

A special mention must go to the lovely, friendly nurse who assisted throughout and kind receptionist. Their warmth and attentiveness made such a difference to my comfort. Dr and nurse went above and beyond to create a relaxed atmosphere — allowing me to DJ for two hours with my own choice of music during the procedure. This personal touch turned what could have been a nerve-wracking experience into something genuinely enjoyable.

The whole team made me feel cared for not just as a patient, but as a person. I left feeling well looked after, comfortable, and already noticing a great improvement with pain, swelling and circulation in my legs.

I came 20 minutes before my booked…

I came 20 minutes before my booked time. 10 minutes after my appointment should be started, I decided to ask if everything is ok, because the lady behind the desk didn't try to check time and show me she cares that they are late. The lady asked why I am asking this. I said it's 10:40am, but I booked for 10:30am. She answered something like that - sometimes the client needs more time. Hm, and that's it - no sorry or something else. Then doctor's nurse came and she was very polite and told me sorry for the delay.
Ultrasound was ok. They gave me even special underwear. I didn't like to walk without sock though, I would prefer to not take them off )) or to have slippers, I hate walking on the floor without socks after many other people (but it's just me I suppose). The doctor explained everything clearly so you don't have to worry about that, and you can ask as many questions as possible. p.s. The punctuality should be very important for private services. I've been to several private services for a few years and many of them don't care about punctuality.

Receptionist and nurse welcoming

Receptionist and nurse welcoming, professional and reassuring. Consultant very uncommunicative…. Left treatment room after the procedure on both occasions without so much as a goodbye!
Realise they are very busy but still some degree of reassurance, pleasantness or I would hope to feel like a person rather than another procedure. I even commented to the nurse who did understand my feelings.

Consultation April 2025

Veincentre Consultation Appointment, Berkeley Square, Bristol on 30/04/25; Consultant William Neary
The consultation (ref. above) was fine.
My disappointment was that having had fairly extensive treatment (Unilateral EVLA + Adjuvant Sclerotherapy injections) on 25/01/24 & 06/03/24 ('follow up') on my right leg, varicose veins have 're-occurred' in the same leg but in a different position.
Mr Neary expressed some surprise that varicose veins had 're-surfaced' so soon, in that they don't usually 'manifest' themselves again so swiftly.
He said that a further similar treatment would be possible and that the scan carried out would be 'valid' for up to 6 months.
I am reluctant to make a decision in proceeding with further treatment at this stage (at a cost of c. £2,500) as I am not really in any discomfort - the veins are just unsightly - and there would seem to be a possibility of recurrence as has happened on this occasion.
I've decided to 'see how things go' for the time being and possibly reassess the situation again in the Autumn .

A very easy stress free experience

A very easy stress free experience. The staff were professional and friendly. The procedure was fully explained before during and after, I couldn’t have asked for more.
My legs not only look better they feel better, no more pain and for the first time in years I am able to run again.

I had a positive experience with Mr William Neary.
He explained,very clearly at my appointment what needs to be done.
I also appreciated the written email, very detailed and reassuring.
I have booked my second appointment for next month.

The medical side of the experience was excellent both in the surgery and the help and advice from the nurses.

The medical side of the experience was excellent both in the surgery and the help and advice from the nurses.
This was my third visit and only the first time that the computer at reception was on line. I find the billing very confusing and unusually complicated and at times contradictory.
It would have been good to be reminded to bring the compression stockings along to the follow up session. Perhaps there should be two sets of stockings right from the beginning so that one does not have to wait for them to dry after washing over the three week period.
