My bike flew off the rack on the highlway. It was total loss, damaged beyond repair. I dreaded dealing with insurance but Velosurance made it painless. Filed my claim, emailed a few photos, and had a check in hand in 10 days. No runaround, no hassle. I've been on the fence about bike insurance but never again. Highly recommended.

My bike was stolen right off the Sound Transit bus rack. I was on the bus and there was absolutely nothing I could do. I called Velosurance right away and they walked me through the process. They asked me to provide a police report, which I did, and submitted a copy with my claim. Within a week, I was paid out. One week! I couldn't believe how smooth and stress-free it was during what was honestly a really frustrating situation. If you ride and you're not insured with Velosurance, do yourself a favor and sign up. These folks truly have your back.

After thieves broke into our shed and stole two brand-new e-bikes, Velosurance made a tough situation so much easier. A representative walked me through the claims process, that required filing a police report, and once I submitted the report by email, an investigator called that same afternoon. Just a week later, the check arrived. It was the most seamless, stress-free insurance claim experience I’ve ever had.

Velosurance is a pure scam with fake reviews. The are an acting agent for Markel Group. Markel is notorious for not paying claims. Even when your claim is proven they will send you a disclaimer its inconclusive and not pay. Do not buy Velo!!

This company sells Markel insurance. Renewal notifications come from Markel directly, but if you try to login to Markel's site, they tell you to call a phone number and has poor hours. I forgot that I purchased insurance through Velosurance because I'd only gotten Markel notifications for years. Policy cancellation has to be done through Velosurance not Markel so my policy renewed when I didn't want it.

Initially wrote a positive review when I was assured my cancelled policy refund was being processed and mailed. It is now a month later and I learned that the refund hasn't even been mailed yet. Very poor customer service. Will never do business with them again!

I have had my bikes insured through Velosurance for 4 years. Recently had a damage claim on a mountain bike. Could not be more pleased with the process and the support I received. Would recommend this company for anyone who has a substantial investment in their bikes.

Velosurance / Markel has not processed policy cancellation despite multiple requests. Additionally, they've continued to bill me after confirming that my policy cancellation was processed. Additionally, they're billing me extra for a minimum premium that I believe in good faith was satisfied much earlier.

I cancelled my policy a month ago and have still not received a refund. When asked about the refund I was given a date that it would be mailed out. After waiting over two weeks after that they then said that the check might be lost. I contacted Markel (who actually handles the policy and not Velosurance) because that seemed unlikely and they informed me that because of how the cancellation was processed that no refund was ever generated or check mailed out. Markel is investigating now. Upon letting Velosurance know they said they did everything correct but would check again but I do not have much confidence in them because of the initial incorrect information. Also, in this process their representatives said I would receive a call back which never occurred only to discover an email in its place that said they fulfilled their responsibilities and the refund is on Markel. The policy was purchased from Velosurance so I expected them to handle it without the runaround.

Very professional and personal experience; very patient; and honored their insurance commitments without a hassle. Really recommend.

Velosurance was speedy, responsive and very clear on claims procedures. I am writing this review with a sense of gratitude as service was beyond my expectations and the speedy reimbursement resulting from the claim helped me get back on the saddle.

They were incredibly responsive both times, and made a stressful time incredibly easy. I wish all insurance in my life were like this.

I purchased coverage on my ebike mainly for the theft protection. After being in a accident the company was very timely in reimbursing me for my covered medical expenses & bike repair costs.

I love that Velosurance offers worldwide coverage for my bikes. It always gives me peace of mind to know that they are covered.
